That answers my question. I stride toward the receptionist, a blonde with sunny smile in neat pink suit. Jeez! Even a Barbie could use a break.
“I –“
“Mr. Jung will see you now.” She says politely.
I sputter. “What?”
She glances past behind me and a security man complete in uniform is beside me. “Take Ms. Kwon to meet Mr. Jung.”
He nods. “This way ma’am.”
The blonde turns away from me before I can even ask her what this means. The security is waiting for me so I don’t have much choice but to follow him. Okay, calm down. Take a deep breath. I choose to not ask anything but when he punches the button of floor eighty one, my eyes widen instantly. I look at the security man in alarm but damn this man, he ignores my flustered state.
The ride to the top floor is short than what I expected. Five minutes top! Jeez. How come this elevator didn’t stop at all? This doesn’t provide me time enough to steady my errant heartbeat. Once the door slide open, I wait for the security man to walk out first. Only he steps away from my path and gesturing with his hand as if I’m a royal princess.
“Good day, ma’am.”
Piqued, I breeze away with muttered thanks. Good day, my ! I walk through short hallway to the only door in the floor eighty one. God help me, why do I feel like I’m throwing myself into a lion cage?
After taking a deep breath, I knock the door. Ouch! It’s metal. Me and my stupidity.
“Come in.” come deep gravely voice from the other side of the door.
Oh jeez, I can hear the laugh in his voice. Rolling my eyes, I push the metal doors open and almost tripping with my own feet since it’s so heavy. I stop dead between the opened doors as my eyes landed on the barefoot, topless, and too breathtakingly good-looking for his own good man in the middle of the great room.
My jaw goes slack. This can’t be happening. Am I entering the wrong room? “Sorry. Wrong room.” I wince mentally as I retreat back.
“Stop.”
