I sincerely want to thank you all once again for reading and commenting. Your comments gave me ideas and I've heard your pleas ^^. I'm not telling too much though. I apologize for the short chapter, I wish I had just added this part to the chapter before. But well, this is what happens when you're writing in episodes.

Anyway, the development from now on is partly thanks to you guys although maybe not quite what you expected. Thank you!

As glad as I am to have Yoogeun out of immediate danger and hopefully Jjong and Minho safe, as worried am I about Taemin and especially Kibum who is obviously center of interest of the girl named Haegi.

“Look ...”, I say aloud, "... we should try to ...”

She fires a shot into the floor right before my feet making the concrete sputter up and about. I jump back startled. But she’s already pointing the gun at Kibum again.

“Don’t even think about it”, she says without looking at me, “and don’t think I can’t handle a gun. My father has taught me everything about firearms that’s worth knowing.”

She laughs again. But this time it sounds bitter, almost sad.

Out of the corner of my eyes I see Taemin making a move. He tries to exit Haegi’s field of vision to get around to her back. But she’s not having it. She fires another warning shot short of Taemin’s feet into the floor proving that she indeed is an excellent shooter.

“So what do you want?” Kibum asks. He is almost too calm. As if saving Yoogeun was his only objective and now that it’s done he doesn’t really care what’s happening anymore, or does he?

She hesitates. Maybe she didn’t think that far.

“You said I’m your bias. So this is among you and me”, he continues with his late night husky voice that unsettles women by the dozen. “You have me at gun point. So what are you gonna do with me?”

No, I think desperately, no, Kibum, don’t do this. Please don’t make us leave. Don’t stay with her on your own.

“You two”, she says, “Leader, Maknae. I don’t need you anymore. Go!”

“NO!”, Taemin and I shout in unison and I reach out to Kibum, to pull him away from her when I hear another shot ...

I slam into a pile of crates. Kibum yells “STOP IT” and then Taemin is beside me before I know it and grabs me. It takes me a second to realize that I have been hit.

“STOP IT”, I hear Kibum again, “stop hurting them. You got what you wanted. Leave them out of this.”

Taemin is laying me down, kneeling next to me. His face is anxious, a Taeminnie face, he looks like a child again. I have to smile and reach out to touch his hair and tell him it’s alright. But my shoulder, oh , I never knew a shot would hurt that much.

The last thing I see before the room turns upside down and I lose consciousness is Kibum looking back at me over his shoulder, an expression of guilt and shame on his face that breaks my heart.

“Taem, get him outta here.”
