The area around the airport has already been thoroughly freed from snow. While we cruise around looking for parking space Minho watching the rear-mirror suddenly says:

“, we’ve got a tail.”

Taemin and I simultaneously turn our heads to look back. Indeed there is a taxi behind us and we catch a glimpse of four girls with cameras and phones ready that are immediately put to work.

“Keep driving around”, I tell Jjong, but we all know that the situation is getting worse.

My phone rings. It’s Kibum. I can feel my heart skipping a beat when I answer afraid that there’s more bad news. But the husky voice says:

“I’m here.”

“Thank God”, I blurt out before I know and he gives me short laugh then adds:

“Thank Skymark. Where are you now?”

“We’re driving around in the parking-lot”, I tell him, “there’s a taxi with some girls following us. But we may be able to get rid of them.”

At this Minho raises an eyebrow. Taemin is still looking back and says:

“There’s another one” and Kibum tells us:

“I’m sitting on my Prada-bag at the baggage-claim because fricking EXO was booked for the flight from Osaka that was cancelled. News didn’t go around fast enough so the arrival hall is crowded with crazy girls and I’ve got no security whatsoever. I’m seriously afraid for my attire.”

“ just got real”, Jjong remarks with a smirk.

It’s weird but this feels more like an adventure than it should and I’m pretty sure it’s the same for the others.

Minho takes my phone.

“Kibum, those fans are looking for 12 guys, so they might not notice you immediately ...”

A snort from the end of the line.

“... yeah well, whatever, but you may have enough time to get through the worst before they come after you if you just cover up a bit.”

“Dress as a girl!” Jjong shouts laughing.

“Yeah, sure honey, I’ll put on my Chanel dress.”

Luckily we all know the airport really well. We agree to meet Kibum at the foremost taxi-position in 15 minutes. We can’t go there right now though or we won’t be able to get away again being crowded in. So we keep cruising. Minho climbs into the backseat to leave the front for Kibum.

There are three taxis behind us already and they’re trying to go around and block us closing in from both sides. Jjong narrowly avoids a crash when one of the taxis attempts to overtake us on the right.

“Are you trying to kill us or what?” Taemin shouts angrily to no one in particular. The driveway in front of the terminal is narrow. Therefore Jjong has to go back to the parking lot to get some distance between them and us. But the 15 minutes are almost over. Just when we have succeeded getting in lead again and drive back to the terminal, we see Kibum dashing out of the exit looking the other way towards the meeting point.

“”, Jjong says and speeds up to get there.

“Could he be more obvious?”

Minho shakes his head at Kibum’s fly-sunglasses and paisley-shorts with leggings.

And then a horde of girls on the hunt break out of the terminal behind him.

If it wasn’t for the serious situation the scene would be hilarious: Kibum looking over his shoulder, seeing a stampede about to happen, attempting to run towards our meeting point, realizing we’re not there, stopping in mid-run, slithering forward while gracefully turning around, switching on his radar, spotting us by miracle and rapidly changing direction to sprint towards us.

With the horde of screaming girls coming after Kibum and our tail of by now four taxis we race towards each other, Taemin leaning forward to open the passenger-door while Jjong desperately tries to control the sliding car on the freezing tarmac.

When we stop, the car is skidding around and the rear almost knocks Kibum over who manages to dodge, only grazed by the bumper.

Turned by 180° the car comes to a stop driver-side towards Key. And he doesn’t even hesitate for a second, but tears the door open and pushes Jjong over to the passenger seat. Slamming the door shut and locking in one swift movement he exhales audibly.

Recovering from the assault Jjong says with a big toothy smile:

“You still run like a girl”, and Kibum dryly replies:

“And you still drive like an idiot.”
