I thought about linking a reference video concerning Ladies' Code. But then I thought it would be inappropriate. You guys probably know about them anyway.

There have been several car-crashes among kpop-idols in the past years, the saddest one so far when Ladies’ Code lost two members in a horrible accident. I remember wondering what it was like for the remaining girls. Minho later told us that the funeral had been heartbreaking. 

And then of course there was Jjong’s accident that was a major throwback for SHINee during comeback-time. I have to admit though, that I’m still a bit proud that we managed “Why so serious” with just the four of us.

But after the Ladies’ Code tragedy I tried not to think too much about the possibility of losing one of the boys due to a crash and I always felt uneasy when I knew they were going somewhere by car.

When I come to now it takes me a couple of seconds to understand that we’re upside down. I feel dizzy entangled in my seatbelt. My chest and my head hurt, it’s hard to breathe and it’s freezing cold. I guess the windscreen is shattered.

Then shock hits me, ‘the boys!’

It’s dark outside and there are only a couple of red control-LEDs blinking on the dashboard. I’m confused by the position of the car fumbling to unfasten my seatbelt while trying to find Taemin who was sitting next to me in the middle of the backseat. He should be at my right side. Was he buckled up, oh God, was he? I frantically feel around for a body but the place to my right is empty.

I finally get my seatbelt lose and drop to the car-ceiling. I can’t say if I’m hurt yet but I don’t care either. Where’s Taemin, and Jjongie? Where are all of them?

“Taem?” I ask into the darkness while groping around. The space isn’t big so I should find them easily. But I’m disoriented and keep searching in the wrong direction.

I hear a soft sigh to my left and reaching for its source my hand brushes over hair and a face. Am I turned around so that Taemin and Jjong are to my left now?

“Taem?” I ask again, leaning over, “Taeminnie, say something please.”

“Hyung?”

I exhale with relief, it’s him and he’s obviously alive.

“Are you hurt?” I ask him.

“I don’t know ... what happened?”

I feel him moving beside me, reaching out and we almost comically fumble each other in the dark.

“We’ve been in an accident”, I say and hug him, “help me find everybody.”

“Hyung, you’re bleeding!”

That’s Taeminnie for you, ignoring what I just said like always. He’s right though, there is blood on my forehead but it’s already drying so it’s probably nothing serious.

“I’m okay”, I say, “is Jjongie there?”

Taemin turns away from me and my eyes slowly adjust to the weak light so that I can see the outlines of the seats and huddled shapes.

“Jjonggie hyung?” I hear Taemin and then a grunt or snort and a “!”

So he’s alive too.

“Jjonggie, are you hurt?” I try to get closer when suddenly the car starts to move again and I realize too late that we haven’t been horizontal before but tilted to the side. It seems we’re sliding down a slope or something.

I hear a suppressed shriek that’s probably coming from me and hands grabbing me, while we slowly slither downwards a couple of meters and then abruptly come to a halt. The carriage screeches and threatens to topple over yet again. But we only roll for another 90 degrees, stopping on the driver’s side.

Taemin and Jjong fall on me. We scamble to our knees again while trying not to hurt each other.

Then all three of us exhale audibly. 

I reach out to the front. There is an airbag slowly deflating with a soft hissing sound.

“Kibum?”

The figure is still buckled up. I feel the sleeve of a leather jacket and ... something wet and sticky ... blood.

Reaching further across I realize that it’s Minho not Kibum which makes sense because I was sitting behind him and he was the one wearing a leather jacket.

“Minho?” There’s quite a lot of blood.

“Is he hurt?” I hear Jjong’s voice.

“He’s bleeding, but I don’t know from where”, I say sounding more desperate than I’d like to.

Taemin next to me is reaching out to the front as well trying to get to the seatbelt.

“Wait”, I say, “don’t unbuckle him before we know where he’s hurt. We might make it worse.”

The body moves. I haven’t even felt for a pulse before. I’m an idiot.

“Minho?” I ask again.

He grabs my hand and answers “Yeah, yeah, I’m alive.”

Moving around he moans a bit, obviously in pain.

“Just give me a second” he says, “I think I’ve hurt my head. But it’s not too bad.”

“You’re bleeding a lot”, I’m still concerned.

Jjong meanwhile is squeezing through the gap between the front seats and turning the other way.

“And where the is Bummie?” he almost shouts.
