A young woman strutted among all the other passengers pulling along her luggage bag behind her. Her hair was the color of a chestnut, silky and long that they covered her face. She wore a brown long coat with a pair of black skinny jeans and brown furry ankle boots. Her presence emitted charisma yet her face looked troubled and sad. She was looking down into her phone, staring at a picture of two teenagers a boy and a girl who can easily be mistaken as siblings. They both had milky white skin and had similar features. She sat in front of the boarding gate quietly. Tears streamed down her face. In her head she was arguing with herself thinking what she was doing is wrong and she should not have come back but the voicemail he left her pleaded her to comeback made her heart change.

 It’s been 5 years since she packed her bags and left home, leaving him. She regretted what she did to him at the airport when she left but what she did made her realize one thing. Their parting made her realize that she was in love with her bestfriend.

Flashback

Passport, boarding pass, luggage, admission forms, checked! She was mentally doing a final roll call of all her things that she needed to bring. As she stood in the living room of her parent’s house, she took one last look because she knew she was not going to see that place in a very long time and she’s going to miss it. When she turned around, she saw Seunghyun standing in front of the door looking at her.

“Are you ready?”

“I think so” she said as she walked towards Seunghyun who was already carrying her luggage ready to load them into the car.

Her parents have gone to the airport earlier to settle her heavier luggage. Her heart was heavy and Seunghyun’s expression was cloudy as they reached the airport. In front of the departure gate they stood facing each other. She didn’t know what to say when suddenly Seunghyun pulled her into an embrace. He hugged her tightly and kissed her forehead. This made her heart even heavier, soon tears streamed down her cheeks.

“Take care in London best. Don’t forget to call if you have any problems, no matter what time, day or night. I’ll answer your call no matter what. Promise? Don’t bottle up your emotions arraso?” he said as he let her go and ruffled her hair.

“Okay best. Take care too” she said as she turned around hiding her tears and walked towards the gates. Her steps were heavy and seeing her walk away from him was slowly killing Seunghyun.

He turned his body around because seeing her walk away was tearing his heart apart and tears began to fall. He tried hiding the tears and wiped them away quickly when suddenly he felt that his body was turned. Soft strawberry flavored lips were kissing his lips and the kiss was very passionate that he closed his eyes. When the kiss stopped he opened his eyes only did he saw it was a girl’s backside walking away from him but he was sure it was Sophie.

He called out to Sophie and tried to catch up to her but was too slow. Sophie was already beyond the departure gates and she turned to look back at Seunghyun. Seeing his face made her heart heavier and she softly said to herself, “I love you Choi Seunghyun. I hope this is for the best.”
