The Monday morning came and dance camp was finally over. The weekend seemed to fly by just like any other but for Minzy it was different.

It was the weekend where she was kissed by Sehun. The guy who she had let into her personal space the past couple of weeks, and she didn’t do that often. It took a while, but somehow she established him as a friend and nothing more. Or so it seemed. After their kiss, things would’ve taken a weird turn for sure. However it didn’t seem like that at all and she was left with so many questions.

That same weekend also consisted of spending some time with the prince that she had admired for a long time. She wouldn’t call it a date, but it sure seemed like one. As stupid as it seemed, she was enjoying the fact that Luhan was finally starting to show her his real self instead of remaining perfect. She remembered that time he said that he wished people could see the real him, but because there were so many people he met that didn’t want to see the real him, he’d stopped trying to be him and just be ‘that perfect guy.’ Subconsciously he was the same around Minzy, but slowly the girl was tearing off each layer of his mask and it seemed like he didn’t mind. And that made Minzy happy because it meant that her presence around him was making an impact and she wanted to be included in his circle.

Not just because she liked him.

But because he truly was a kind person beneath the facade and didn’t judge her when they met. Even now, he hadn’t judged her. She started as a fangirl no less, but he still gave her a chance despite the many greedy girls who tried to make a place for themselves in his life.

Therefore Minzy was far from complaining.

Her weekend with Luhan had been a very pleasant experience and she knew that from now on she could be more comfortable around his presence even though the nerves still came around as high as ever. Luhan was nothing but kind and caring towards her and she knew for sure now that his friendship was genuine and that there was no ulterior motive or scheme he was playing at.

She couldn’t help but stare dreamily into space recalling the time she spent at the prince’s home.

Flashback

He was clinging onto her arm and hiding behind her back for pretty much the entire movie. It was the most cutest thing Minzy had ever seen and she tried her hardest not to squeal. Of course, she made sure to try and make him feel better when she his hair softly and pat his back. She was quite hesitant at first, but after it seemed that he calmed down a little after the first pat she decided it was okay. Plus she decided to ignore the fact that his body was so close to hers, despite the blush that she knew was creeping up on her face. Fortunately Luhan was not in the right state of mind to about it since he was scared less. So why would she waste the opportunity?

When the movie finished Minzy was about to pull away from Luhan’s grasp so it didn’t look like she wanted to stay that way with him the whole night. But then she wasn’t sure whether to count her blessings or not as she realised the said boy had fallen asleep.

Should she consider herself lucky or not?

Now that the room was silent and there was no sounds of the bloody and gory scenes anymore, Minzy felt like her body became even warmer. She tried to shuffle a little bit in her spot to reach over to the remote on the table and turn off the TV where the silent credits were playing but she regretted doing that after what happened next.


She froze.
 

Luhan’s head wasn’t resting next to her shoulder now.

Instead it was on her lap. Her lap.

What now? She asked herself, her eyes widened and looking around the room frantically for any help, even though she knew doing that wouldn’t amount to anything.

Her eyes came back to Luhan’s face and she let go of a breath she didn’t know she was holding.  His face looked so soft, and flawless. His features were so doll-like and he had porcelain looking skin. Come to think of it, this was the first time she’d ever seen him this close before. The boy on her bus who for 9 months she was staring at. Seeing him from afar for days and weeks and picturing many possible (yet unrealistic) situations of him and her meeting. Hoping that one day she could get to meet him and see his face up close.

Well her moment was here, and still she couldn’t believe it.

Without realising, her hand moved to softly trace over Luhan’s features. She his soft cheeks a few times before instantly pulling back as he started to fiddle in his sleep, mumbling incoherent sounds.

Crap. I got carried away. She pressed her lips into a thin line before moving the part of his fringe that fell onto his forehead. Looking at him simply, she noticed how vulnerable he looked when he was sleeping. Much different to him usually, where he always had a sure expression playing on his face. Minzy noticed the little crease between his forehead now and realised he was slightly frowning. She softly his head again and noticed it disappearing as she did so. And when she saw a slight smile play on his face, she unknowingly smiled too.
 

Just perfect.


The girl didn’t remember anything after that and when she woke up, Luhan was not resting his head on her lap anymore and she somehow ended up lying on the couch with a blanket on top of her. The sound of nearing footsteps made her get up quickly and she turned around to see a grinning Luhan walking towards her.
 

‘Good morning.’ He smiled. ‘Having the couch to yourself was comfortable?’

Minzy stared at him for a while with slightly open. Had last night been a dream? It’s possible right? Maybe in the middle of the movie she had also fallen asleep and simply dreamt that scenario of Luhan resting on her lap and his warmth making her go all crazy in the head. Maybe after the movie finished he was the one who put her to sleep on the couch and then went to his room to sleep.

‘Good…..morning.’ Minzy managed to say. ‘Did I…sleep through the movie?’


‘Mmm..not sure. But I sure did. Thanks for the warm pillow by the way.’ Luhan had an indescribable expression on his face.

Minzy’s eyes widened to the roof.


Warm pillow?
 

Did he mean her lap?

‘Um…you’re..welcome?’ Minzy bit her tongue at the way she responded. ’

‘What’s wrong?’ Luhan chuckled before quietly taking a seat next to her. ‘Have an interesting dream?’

‘Um…’ Minzy scratched her head slightly. ‘I’m not sure If I did…maybe.’ She finished awkwardly.

Luhan stifled a laugh before lightly poking her cheek. ‘You sound nervous.’ He raised his eyebrow. ‘Was it better than me sleeping on you?’

Minzy’s face colour rapidly turned to the colour of her hair. Her eyes widened to infinity at the way he was able to say that so nonchalantly.

‘W-What..?’ She stuttered, agape. The prince was staring at her with a smile that seemed almost teasing in a way.

Minzy tried her best not to smile back but within seconds she lost.

Damn Luhan just had to be so handsome.

Before she could say anything else, Luhan moved closer and started to play with a few strands of her hair before leaning over to her ear and whispering something that was the end of her.

‘Just so you know…you’re the first girl I’ve ever let stay inside my house.’

Just thinking about that last bit was able to make Minzy blush 10000 times even recalling it now. She was falling deeper and deeper for this charm. It made her feel all sorts of butterflies in her stomach and she didn’t mind it.

But still, there was someone else to consider even though she wanted to avoid it.

Mr Oh Sehun.

Minzy wasn’t sure about him.


He wasn’t just a friend….but he also wasn’t someone she loved.


And she knew that when they kissed.


Because it wasn’t one of feelings. Minzy knew that very well.


From the few stories she heard about Sehun, he was a player and had his share of hook-ups. Kai kept reminding her that she was the only girl he didn’t try to immediately get in with. He tried to be friends with her first. That’s when Minzy figured out he was being good to her despite his constant y comments. He was just being a jokestar.

So was the kiss they shared nothing more than just a short makeout session or was he hinting at what could be?

Minzy didn’t dwell on that part too much because it seemed unnecessary.

At least for now...


 

‘Earth to Gong Minji. Are you awake?’

Minzy’s eyes suddenly widened and her attention was brought to her left where the source of the voice was coming from.
 

‘I’m sorry what?’ She blinked.

Her close friend Luna sat there looking back at her with an unamused expression and frowned.

‘I ask you how your weekend was and you stare into space? What is it this time, Luhan asked you to be his girlfriend?’

‘No, of course not.’ Minzy quickly shook her head. ‘I was just dazed. Sorry. And what about you?’

‘Right.’ Luna gave back face that showed she wasn’t convinced but answered the question anyway. ‘There’s a pair assignment for our Marketing class and you’re gonna do it with me. They’re announcing it in class today.’

‘What? That you and I are partners?’

‘No silly. I’m just saying don’t ditch me for someone else just because we’ve both been busy and haven’t talked a lot.’ Luna chuckled.

‘Why would I do it with someone else?’ Minzy tilted her head to the side. ‘I don’t really know anyone else in class besides you.’

‘I bet If Sehun were in your class you’d do it with him.’ Luna remarked. Normally, Minzy would give her a nudge on the side hearing this, but the mention of Sehun’s name reminded her that he hasn’t called or messaged her since dance camp. She took her phone out and glanced over the messages.

Nothing new.

‘Something wrong with bubbletea boy?’ Luna asked hesitantly.

‘Hm?’ Minzy blinked. ‘No, he’s the same.’ She shrugged. ‘So If you and I are doing a project together will I be spending tie at your magnificent palace?’

‘Geez it ain’t a palace.’ Luna rolled her eyes. ‘Can’t we just do it at your place or the library?’

‘But I miss your dog.’ Minzy pouted. ‘Even though you only met me meet her twice.’

‘Those were short hangouts Minzy.’ Luna laughed. ‘If you start coming over you have to dress differently. And yes, I mean fancy and proper.’

‘Ugh gross.’ Minzy pinched the bridge of her nose. ‘But If I do it will you let me meet that boyfriend of yours?’

‘M-Maybe.’ Luna stuttered. ‘He’s prestigious like me, you wouldn’t like him at all.’

‘It’s not like I’m the one dating him.’ Minzy raised her eyebrow. ‘I’m just curious afterall. I’m certain he’ll be nothing like my crowd but that makes me anticipate it more.’

The rest of the day went by as usual but Minzy was distracted. At noon she checked her phone but she received no text from a certain someone who usually made her go buy bubbletea during the break between classes.

And she found it weird.

She hadn’t talked to Sehun for 2 days and it felt weird.

And for some reason she felt like she shouldn’t message or call him either. Maybe she could ask Luhan later If something was up. Even now as she was glancing through all the dancing rooms at Uni, she only ran into Kai but Sehun was no where to be found.

And again, she felt weird asking where he was.

Perhaps he was sick and was staying at home? She could stop by at his place later except she didn’t actually know where he lived. She had only ever been inside his car.

She mentally cursed herself for being so concerned. It wasn’t like her.

Was it guilt?

No, but what should she have to feel guilty for?

It’s not like Sehun said he likes her or anything. Plus, after they kissed he was being very playful and not being acting like someone who liked her that way.

‘Why are you standing here, hm Strawberry?’

A pair of hands were placed on top of her shoulders and the voice of the boy she was just thinking about sounded in her eyes. Minzy quickly turned around and met his eyes.

‘Sehun.’ Unknowingly she smiled.

‘Happy to see me after your little disappearing act?’ He smirked lightly.

‘Um yeah…..sorry.’ Minzy unknowingly looked down in a guilty way which didn’t go unnoticed by Sehun.

‘Hey, it’s not like I’m angry.’ Minzy felt Sehun’s fingers move her chin up to face him. ‘Don’t take it so seriously.’

‘But I’m sure you were salty because we ditched you.’ She chuckled.

‘That’s your imagination.’ Sehun rolled his eyes, slowly backing Minzy up on the wall behind her.

‘You’re sure?’

‘Positive.’

‘You’re just fronting.’ She stuck her tongue out at him.

‘Not at all. I didn’t miss you.’ Sehun raised his eyebrows at her in a teasing way. His fingers were still on her chin but before she could respond to their ongoing banter another voice was heard.

‘Woah, what do we have here?’

Both heads turned to face the side.

‘Luhan.’ They spoke in unison and in surprise.

The boy in front of them stared back almost as if he just walked in on a private meeting. The look of slight jealously didn’t go unnoticed. That’s when Minzy’s eyes widened and she realised why his face was the way it was. She quickly brushed off Sehun’s hand and awkwardly cleared .

‘Luhan, what are you doing at Seoul Uni today?’ She asked lamely.

The said boy dropped a small smile at her before he briefly glanced in Sehun’s direction with an unreadable expression.

‘I was looking for Kai earlier and thought I’d find you and say hi aswell.’ Luhan smiled at Minzy again but then it changed slightly when he finished his answer with ‘But I see you two already found each other. Was I interrupting anything?’

‘Nope, I’m just being a sleaze.’ Sehun remarked casually, stuffing his hands into his pockets. ‘Hyung, did you miss me?’ He winked.

‘Yes, I did.’ Luhan laughed, although Minzy could sense it was forced. ‘Stop by my house later Sehun-ah.’

A lump was forming in Minzy’s throat. What was with the weird atmosphere and tension that was growing rapidly by the second?

‘Okay, I will. What time-‘

‘There you are Luhan!’

Another voice entered the scene, and Minzy could swear she heard it before. All 3 heads turned to see a short girl decked out in a floral pink dress and hair tied up in pig tails.

Everybody was silent for a few moments, just staring at the new person who entered all of a sudden. For Sehun it was the first time seeing her. As for Minzy, she recognised this girl who came to return something to Luhan after the dance camp meeting that occurred recently. Luhan had mentioned her once or twice, saying she was just a friend, but something in her stomach gave Minzy reasons to think otherwise.

‘Hey….’ Luhan finally spoke as the new figure walked to stand next to him. ‘I thought I told you to wait for me outside.’

‘That’s okay, I was curious of what you were up to anyway.’ The girl giggled before sharing eye contact with a dumbfounded Sehun and a blinking Minzy. ‘I’m Luhan’s friend, IU. Nice to meet you two!’ She enthusiastically shook both hands and grinned. ‘You must be Luhan’s friends, I finally get to meet you. Sehun was it? And….hey I remember you! Your name is Minzy.’

‘Let me explain.’ Luhan suddenly spoke up, a nervous smile displayed on his face. ‘She’s one of my newest classmates, IU. My program recently offered extra advanced classes for the top grading students and we both made it in….’ He trailed off before looking back at the short girl. 

‘Yes! We’ve been spending lots of time together and I have learnt lots about him already.’ IU added on. ‘He has the voice of an angel.’

‘Yes, I know.’ Sehun said affirmatively, glancing down briefly at Minzy. She had not said a word since a while now and he was getting concerned. He noticed her eyes were focused on IU’s hand that were clinging onto the ends of Luhan’s jumper and he switched his gaze to that aswell.

When did that happen?

‘Hey, why don’t we all get something to eat and-‘ IU was interrupted by Sehun’s bored voice.

‘Actually Minzy and I have plans. I’m taking her somewhere special tonight. Right?’ Sehun placed his around the red head’s shoulder and shared a look with her.

‘Hm?’ Minzy blinked for a second not knowing what was going on, but then the stare Sehun gave her made her understand. ‘Right. Yes we do. Sorry guys, maybe next time…..’ She said awkwardly.

‘Oh that’s too bad.’ IU pouted. ‘We’ll talk properly next time. It was nice to officially meet you two!’ IU looked up at Luhan while still clinging onto his arm. ‘So where shall we eat?’ She asked before dragging him in the opposite direction, leaving Minzy and Sehun behind.

‘Oh…um…’ Luhan’s stuttered. ‘You can decide…….’ He voice trailed off as he was escorted away. Sehun and Minzy watched in their direction until they disappeared.

‘Why did you say that?’ Minzy looked up to meet Sehun’s eyes.

Sehun rolled his eyes. ‘To save your jealous . What else?’

‘I’m not jealous.’

‘Right. And your face is screaming eternal joy right now.’
 

‘…Shut up.’

‘Just thank me.’ Sehun scoffed. ‘And you know, it’s not good to jump to conclusions from a 1 minute interaction.’

‘I did not say anything though.’ Minzy retorted, looking away. ‘But……’ She bit her lower lip. ‘Thanks.’

Finally Sehun laughed.

‘You’re cute strawberry.’

‘Excuse me?’

‘Nothing.’
 

‘Tch. Whatever. Treat me to a 3 course meal.’

‘How about 3 rounds of bubbletea?’ Sehun offered.

‘How about no?’ Minzy sighed tiredly, but when she saw Sehun slightly pout in disappointment she broke into tiny laughter.

‘What?’ The blonde boy raised his eyebrows.

‘You’re cute too.’ Minzy replied.

A/N: Hi everyone. Okay, FIRST THING. so that new story I'm working on, it's getting some progress here and there but I wanted to ask some questions. Here on AFF, there are lots of wonderfully written stories that deal with backlash and it's often because the author has made particular idols into '/evil' characters. While they do make for GREAT stories, a lot of readers get upset because they don't want their favourite idol to be portrayed that way even if it is fiction. In my new story there are a few idols I HAVE to turn into bad characters...I've done it veeeery mildly for all my stories so far but this multiple main cast fic is the one where I'm trying to be more daring so I just wanted some thoughts/opinions from you all. It would be greatly appreciated!!

SECOND THING.  Did I ever tell you guys how obsessed I am with Baekhyun was EXO? It was recently his birthday and I've also been listening to his song 'Take You Home' nonstop. While playing it on repeat, I unknowingly wrote a few details down for a short story on Baekhyun and either an OC or Taeyeon. (Haven't decided) Are you proud I didn't use Minzy for once AHAHAH but seriously. Would you want to read a short story with Baek as the main guy? The length will probably be similar to my short story 'She's Got Me Twisted' (Sehunzy)
