Your Smile

Love Always There

Woohyun groaned as he turned from left to right in bed that night, that one question of Myungsoo's kept ringing in his head and he couldn't help but question himself again and again.

Why does he let what's happening between Sunggyu and Myungsoo bother him that much?

He pulled the pillow over his face, groaning yet again. "I hate you, Kim Myungsoo. I hate you, white face."

--

When Monday came, Woohyun decided that he will just avoid Sunggyu and Myungsoo for the rest of his school days. After all, it's not as if either Sunggyu or Myungsoo was in the same grade as him so he probably wouldn't run into them after each class end. He might run into them during lunch break but he would just stop going to the canteen and get Dongwoo to buy food for him while he waits for the man on the rooftop or something. Yep! That would definitely works! Woohyun nodded to himself.

Oh and if he happened to run into either one of them in the hallway, he would just run in the opposite direction. That would work! Yes, definitely!

Things went well until lunch break, when he happened to see Sungjong. Myungsoo and Sunggyu sitting at a table together not far away. "Woo, can you help me buy lunch?"

"Why?" Dongwoo frowned in confusion.

"I... I will tell you later. I will wait for you at the rooftop!" Woohyun said and quickly made his way out of the crowded canteen.

"You didn't even tell me what you want to eat..." Dongwoo muttered to himself.

Dongwoo quickly smiled again when he spotted Hoya and Sungyeol not far away, and quickly ran to his two friends, putting an arm around each of their shoulders, shocking the two.

"Oh hey." Hoya gave a small smile to the man, before he frowned. "Where's Woohyun?"

At the mention of his best friend, Dongwoo sighed. "I don't know what's wrong with him. He told me to buy lunch and bring it to him." At that, Hoya and Sungyeol looked at each other in deep confusion. "He's at the rooftop! Why don't we go together when we're done buying food?" Dongwoo suggested excitedly.

"Fine with me."

"Yea, me too." Sungyeol shrugged.

--

Woohyun took a deep breath before he lets out a sigh. "Damn it. Why am I doing this." He questioned himself.

"Yea, what are you doing?" Woohyun flinched at the voice, and turned around, only to see his three friends by the entrance of the rooftop.

"So, mind telling us what is up?" Hoya asked, once he took a seat on the ground beside Woohyun, followed by the other two.

Woohyun turned to look at Sungyeol and then shook his head. "Nah, it's nothing much. Just wanted a change of view."

"What the hell." Hoya frowned, almost wanting to punch the man. "There's table and chair for you to use at the canteen but you would rather eat here while sitting on the floor? And what kind of view is there over here. Seriously, Woohyun."

Woohyun pouted at the man's word. "You can go if you want!"

"Oh come on. Don't fight!" Dongwoo stopped the two, and when the both of them finally kept quiet, he quickly smiled. "And maybe this change of venue wouldn't be all that bad of a thing."

"Aww woo, still, you know me the best!" Woohyun grinned, throwing his arms around his best friend and Dongwoo laughed, hugging the man back.

"I don't get it. Are you in some kind of trouble with some gangsters or what? You seem to be in hiding?" Hoya questioned the man as he munched on his kimchi.

"No... That's not it. I... I just, wanted some peace." Woohyun quickly made up something and Hoya cocked an eyebrow at his word. "Should I leave then?"

"No, that's not needed." Woohyun laughed. "I love the company of you guys."

--

"Myungsoo..." Sunggyu called for, as he laid his head on his study table, waiting for a response from his brother who was playing with his phone on the bed.

"Yea?"

"Have you seen Woohyun lately?"

"No, I barely see him nowadays."

Sunggyu pouted at his brother's words. "Me too... Where has he gone to? School isn't as nice without him."

Myungsoo laughed, "Hyung, why are you making it sound like he has transferred out of school or something."

"Isn't it?! I used to see him in school all over the place but I don't even see him at all these days! Like for four days?"

"Did you try the soccer field?" Myungsoo asked, not really interested in the conversation with his brother regarding Woohyun.

"I did, but I don't see him there either. You know, he looked so happy when he runs around on the field... Oh my god!" Sunggyu groaned towards the end of his sentence, whining something like 'I miss seeing Woohyun's smile' and 'I miss Woohyun' .

Myungsoo shook his head as he looked at his brother.

Lovesick.
Sunggyu was definitely lovesick.

And yep, Woohyun has successfully avoided the two brothers for nearly a week now.

--
The next week though, Woohyun wasn't as lucky in avoiding Sunggyu. When he noticed Sunggyu though, the man wasn't that far away and was actually walking in his direction, towards him.

"Oh my god !" Woohyun's eyes widened and he quickly turned around with his books in hand, and started running.

"Yah Nam Woohyun!" Sunggyu shouted, the smile that was previously on his face, faded when he saw Woohyun running away and he quickly chased after the man. Determined to catch the younger man.

Woohyun groaned when he heard his name being called by the other male and started to run even faster.

"Yah!" Sunggyu shouted, still running after Woohyun. And that's when his vision started to blur and he fell to the ground, the books falling from his hands with a loud thud.

Woohyun turned around when he heard the loud thud, and his eyes widened when he saw Sunggyu on the ground, trying to stand but he immediately dropped to the ground again. Students started to crowd around the head counselor, wanting to see what had happened and Woohyun quickly ran to where Sunggyu was, pushing past the crowd and to Sunggyu's side.

"Are you alright?" He asked worriedly as he looked at Sunggyu's face. He looked so pale, face covered with sweat and his hand was at his chest.

"Yea... I guess..." The man replied weakly, giving Woohyun a small smile.

"Is it your blood sugar level again?" Woohyun asked and quickly looked through his bag for something when a hand stopped him. "Woohyun, get them to go away."

Oh right, Sunggyu experiences sudden nervousness whenever his blood sugar level drops, and the students surrounding him like this isn't helping too.

Woohyun quickly stood up and pushed the students further away from Sunggyu, shouting at them to go back to their classes, and soon, the crowd was dispersed. Woohyun quickly crouched down to look at Sunggyu again, and he became more worried, seeing how pale the man was.

"Here! Eat this!" Woohyun quickly opened a bar of chocolate, feeding it to Sunggyu who took a big bite out of it.

"Are you feeling better?" Woohyun asked as he sat there, watching Sunggyu for the past five minutes. "Yea, much better. Thank you." Sunggyu smiled at the man, as he took another bite off the chocolate.

Woohyun smiled back at the man, relief washing over him when he saw that the man didn't look as pale as before. "Did you skip lunch?"

Sunggyu hummed in reply. "I didn't know it would lead to this though."

"Hyung! Didn't I tell you not to skip your meal and always to have some candies or chocolate with you!" Woohyun scolded, hitting the man slightly. "You never listen to me." He pouted, moving to collect Sunggyu's books that was scattered all around the hallway.

When Woohyun was done, Sunggyu pulled the man into his arms, smiling as he the man's head. "Hyung is sorry. Don't be angry, okay?"

And for the first time since a long time, Woohyun smiled at Sunggyu's words. Woohyun's hand went to Sunggyu's back, giving him a pat before he pulled away from the hug. "Do you want to go to the sick bay?"

Sunggyu shook his head. "It's okay. Can you accompany me for a while more?"

Woohyun nodded his head. After all, his class for the day has ended, and there's nothing else he needed to do. "How about we go to the canteen? It's weird to sit here." Woohyun suggested, eyeing the students that are looking at them , before he broke out into a laugh when Sunggyu laughed.

--

"What do you want to eat?" Woohyun asked when they found a seat at the relatively empty canteen.

"Nah, I don't feel like eating."

"Hyung!" Woohyun frowned at the man, almost glaring at him.

"Oh fine. But I have a test in half an hour so perhaps just something small? Hmm, help me to decide. I'm fine with anything you get."

"Okay. Don't you dare flee while I'm away!" Woohyun warned before he turned away.

"Why would I when I have you here with me." Sunggyu mumbled to himself as he stared at Woohyun's back with a grin on his face.

Woohyun came back a while later, with a plate full of sushi. "I don't really know what to get you, but I hope you're fine with sushi."

"Yea, thank you."

"Do you want some?" Sunggyu asked, handing one to Woohyun who rejected it with a smile. "No, it's okay."

"Oh by the way, what did you call me just now?" Sunggyu asked with a grin.

"Just now?" Woohyun frowned as he tried to recall and his expression changed when he remembered. "Oh... That was just-"

"Can't you call me that one more time? I haven't heard you call me that since quite a while ago already."

"It was a slip of tongue." Woohyun groaned, grabbing his hair in frustration and Sunggyu laughed at his expression.

"Woohyun, there's something I need to tell you."

"What is it?"

It's now or never, Sunggyu decided. He's going to tell the truth about him and Myungsoo now. He believed that Woohyun would forgive him, seeing how the man in front of him was still the Woohyun he first came to know. All so kind and forgiving. He might get mad at the counselor for lying about his relationship with Myungsoo, but he would seek for his forgiveness somehow.

"Actually, Myungsoo and I-"

Sunggyu saw how the expression of Woohyun immediately changed once he mentioned about Myungsoo and he couldn't help but regret his decision for more than just a little bit.

"Maybe you should tell me another time." Sunggyu tilted his head, looking at the man in front of him with confusion. "Didn't you say you have a test? You have ten minutes to get to class."

And Sunggyu widened his eyes. The test! How could he have forgotten about it? The test that he skipped lunch to revise for. He quickly stood up, sliding his bag around his shoulder while his free hand made a grab for his books before he started to run. "Bye Woohyun! Thank you for everything today!" He shouted, turning back around to wave at the man before running off again.

Woohyun chuckled, waving back at the man. "Good luck for your test!" He shouted, which gave him a 'thank you' that sounded so far away.

--

Woohyun laid in bed that night, the scene from that afternoon replaying in his mind.

He smiled as he remembered what Sunggyu said to him. "Hyung is sorry. Don't be angry okay?"

He smiled again as the smile of Sunggyu came into mind. And he remembers just exactly why he liked Sunggyu back in middle school.

That oh so attractive smile of Kim Sunggyu...

The reason as to why Nam Woohyun fell for Kim Sunggyu.

Chapter 17: Thanks for the update. Wonder how long would it take for them to finally confess to each other. I mean it will probably clear out most of the misunderstandings. If they will at least come clean as to who like who and if its mutual. Gyu seems to be so confident in the beginning so i wonder why the shift into somewhat shy and being a cry baby. Hoping for their relationship to develop into something more. Kudos.
