She's Back

7:00AM, Gangnam

Minho woke up early even though it’s Saturday. He started fixing his bag. Sulli bit her lip as she tried to ignore him.

“Umm…you did not brew Coffee today?” asked Minho.

“I did.” Said Sulli. “I only brewed a little.”

“Oh in that case…I’ll just buy outside…”

“I did not brew for myself.” Said Sulli.

“What?” asked Minho.

“My heart’s been beating weird since last night.” Said Sulli. “So I did not brew coffee for myself.”

Sulli clenched her hand. Oh no. Why is always slipping?

Last night…Minho kissed her. It was to make her understand the danger of walking late at night with a molester going around the streets. But Sulli can still remember the sweetness and gentleness  of it. And since last night, her heart’s been drumming. She just can’t get herself to drink coffee this morning.

“I’d take it with me then.” Said Minho.

“Umm…Sure.” Said Sulli.

Minho took the coffee and transferred it into a paper cup. He went towards the door.

“Umm…Minho.” Said Sulli. “Don’t you think there is something we need to talk about?”

Minho looked back.

“Can we…talk about it later? I…let’s have dinner together.” Said Minho. “By the way, I’m going to the game our University is sponsoring. It’s airing on TV.”

“Ok, I’ll watch it.” said Sulli. “What time is it airing?”

 “I’m actually not sure what time it is airing. I’ll ask folks once I arrive there. What’s your number?” asked Minho.

Sulli gave her number to Minho.

Sulli sighed. Minho acted normal, as if last night was not a big deal.

Is kissing just normal for him?

Sulli punched the pillow on the sofa.

“I hate it.” Said Sulli.

It was not even her first kiss. So why is she still bothered by it too much?

Arggg! Does she still need until dinner to know why he would kiss her…like that?

“Men.” Said Sulli. “Kissing women for them is like… drinking soju from the bottle. Aish!”

9:20AM, Gwanak-gu

Minho arrived at the University. There were already a lot of people waiting for him. He went to the locker room and found the others.

“Hey, we’re all early.” Said Taemin.

“I think we’re all excited.” Answered Minho.

Minho opened his bag ready to change his clothes when he noticed something missing.

Tsk! He forgot the shoes he specifically uses for football games!

Darn! How can he forget?

“A problem?” asked Kyuhyun.

“Umm…nope.” Said Minho.

Minho took his phone and went out. Good thing he was able to get Sulli’s number.

“Hello” said Minho.

“Hello?” asked Sulli.

“Umm… Sulli. I need to ask a favour right now.” Said Minho. “It’s a bit urgent.”

“What is it?” asked Sulli.

“I think I left the shoes I use for my games.”

“Oh, right, the one I saw you take with you that day you had football practice?” asked Sulli.

“Yes, that one.” Said Minho.

“It’s here. Under the sofa.” Said Sulli. “Do you need it now?”

“Yes.” Minho sighed. “I forgot to bring it.”

“Send me your exact location. I’ll bring the shoes to you.” Said Sulli.

Minho sighed in relief.

“Thanks.” Said Minho.

Sulli was not good with subways. She often gets lost and gets off at the wrong stations. Good thing luck was on her side today. She was able to get to the University without having a wrong step.

Sulli looked for the locker room. It was hard. Everyone knew Minho and whenever she asks where to find him, people look at her like she’s ridiculous.

“I’m sure I look like a fan right now.”

Sulli dialled Minho’s number.

“I’m here already. But I’m lost. The University is big.” Said Sulli.

“Where are you?” asked Minho.

Sulli looked around.

“In front of me is a parking area. At my back is a 4 story building that says Arts and Humanities.” Said Sulli.

“Oh, I think I know where you are. Just stay there. I’ll go to you.” Said Minho.

Minho said stay there. Sulli waited. In a few minutes, she saw Minho coming. But he wasn’t alone, some fangirls were following him.

“Did you bring it?” asked Minho.

Sulli gave a bag to Minho. Minho opened it and saw the shoes.

“Great.” Said Minho. “Thank you.”

Sulli nodded.

That was nothing compared to letting her stay in his house and paying her loan.

Sulli stepped to leave but Minho caught her arm.

“You’re leaving?” asked Minho.

“Umm….yes.” said Sulli.

“Why don’t you watch the game?” asked Minho.

“I am going to watch it.” Said Sulli. “On TV.”

“What I mean is watch it here, Live.” Said Minho.

“I don’t have a ticket.” Said Sulli.

“Hmm…” Minho opened his phone and called someone.

“Is there a way I can get a ticket for the game later?” asked Minho. “All right, great. Thanks!”

Minho faced Sulli.

“I got you a ticket.” Said Minho.

“That easy?” asked Sulli.

“Do you know who you’re talking to?” asked Minho.

“A football celebrity?” Said Sulli.

“Exactly.” Said Minho.

Aish! This man has a superstar mentality.

Minho walked on, Sulli followed. The fangirls weren’t happy.

“You’re using me to get rid of them, huh?” asked Sulli.

“Well…that wasn’t the intention.” Said Minho. “It’s better to watch live than on TV.”

“Yeah but your fans are scary. They’re looking at me like their looks can kill.” Said Sulli.

Minho chuckled.

“They’re very possessive but they’re a good bunch. They won’t harm you.” Said Minho. “The molester who goes around Gangnam would.”

Here they go again.

“Hey Minho!”  Someone from behind them called Minho. Sulli looked back and saw a couple of men. One of them is familiar.

“Oh, Sulli-ssi!”

Ah…that’s why he’s familiar!

“You’re…Minho’s friend. The one who accompanied him when he helped me.” Said Sulli.

Kyuhyun nodded.

“You’re here.” Said Kyuhyun.

Sulli bowed.

“Yeah.” Said Sulli. “Minho forgot his shoes. I brought them.”

Everyone seemed to have their eyes widened. Did she say something wrong?

Oh no…

Sulli looked at Minho and his narrowed brows tell her she indeed said something wrong.

“Minho, I didn’t know you’d forget Yuri that fast.” Said Onew.

“Hey, don’t say that in front of the girlfriend. Sulli-ssi, just ignore him.” Said Key.

“I can’t believe you’re no longer the super man you used to be Minho. Now you have a super woman with you.” Said Jonghyun. “Sulli-ssi, Minho never forgets his things. His mind has checklists for everything. We even used him during college as our list, his memory is so good that leaving a shoe behind is…a bit weird.”

“Did you sleep last night, Hyung?” asked Taemin.

“I…” Minho couldn’t answer.
