Our Little Angel

KRYSTAL’s POV

I brought Sooyun at the playroom and she quickly run inside meeting her friends. I can see the happiness in her eyes while talking to them. She’s a very bright and active kid and I bet Amber will surely miss her if they will get separated. I hope that won’t happen though.

“You have a very beautiful daughter.” A middle-aged woman spoke that caught my attention.

I turned to look at her and she is looking at Sooyun with a smile. Our eyes met and I bowed my head to her and greet her politely.

“She looks like you. Like mother like daughter. You are both beautiful. ” She continued with an eye smile.

I chose not to correct her. I just felt of not bothering to do that. I sort of like being mistaken as Sooyun’s mother.

“Thank you, ahjumma.” I replied to her curving a smile.

“How old are you? You still look so young.” She asked me.

“I’m already 23 and turning 24.”

“How about your daughter, is she your firstborn?” she asked me curiously.

“Y-Yes, she is. She’s five years old now.” I answered and curved an awkward smile.

She stared at me for a while with disbelief in her eyes. I was mentally face-palming myself.

“How about your husband?” she glanced on my hand, probably looking for my wedding ring. “How old is he?”

“He is 25 years old, Ahjumma.” I answered her.

“You got married early.” She commented.

“Yeah.” I replied and laughed awkwardly.

“As long as you’re happy, there’s nothing wrong with it.” She stated with a gentle smile.

“How about you Ahjumma, who did you bring here?” I questioned her curiously.

“I just came here every day to look at the kids. Their smiles always brighten my day.” She answered me.

Our attentions were transferred to Sooyun when she came running towards me. She introduced herself to Ahjumma and the woman got amused by her. They talked like they knew each other for so long.

“I remember my son in you when he was your age.” She spoke happily smiling at Sooyun.

“Where is he now, Ahjumma?” Sooyun asked curiously.

“He is in America now, living in his own.” Ahjumma replied to her.

“Don’t you miss him?” Sooyun questioned.

“Every single day, I do. But I can’t see him yet and I know he is busy.”

“Even though I know Appa and Umma are both busy, I came here to visit them and be with them. You can also do that Ahjumma.” Sooyun encouraged her.

“I wish honey.” The ahjumma answered her with a smile, patting her head.

I think Ahjumma got startled when Sooyun suddenly hugged her tightly. She is really a sweet kid.  The ahjumma bid her goodbye to us and Sooyun followed her eyes on the woman. She is looking at her with sadness in her eyes.

“What’s wrong Sooyun?” I questioned her when she turned to look at me.

“Umma, Appa should meet Ahjumma.”she told me.

AMBER’s POV

Jessica Jung is a beautiful petite woman. She got sharp cold eyes like Krystal and they have the same facial profile. I won’t get surprise if I find out that they are related. I am not sure if she’s an artist in this company though.

“Are you a new trainee?” she asked me.

“Trainee?”

“Yeah, new artist trainee.” She replied.

“Oh, no. I am not a trainee here.” I answered to her and it made her raised her brows.

“I see.” She spoke eyeing me from head to toe. “Your fashion style is telling me too.” She continued and giggles.

“Y-Yeah. “ I replied curving an awkward smile.

The elevator dings open and we both stepped outside. She was greeted by a group of girls and their eyes were all on me. Then they start talking in language I didn’t understand but I know they are teasing Jessica. It’s hard for me to get through because they are blocking my way.

“They are bunch of imbecile people. Don’t mind them.” Jessica spoke when she turns to me. “Anyway, I didn’t catch your name.”

“Amber.” I answered her. “Uhm, I’ll take my leave.” I said to her and curved a smile to her friends.

“Wait a sec! Tell me your complete name.” Jessica asked me.

“Amber Joseph Liu.” I almost whispered to her.

I noticed that her eyes slowly widened and it got me confused.

“Oh my God!” she exclaimed looking at me with disbelief in her eyes.
