The Past Makes Us Who We Are

I sat there in the car, and slowly my mind started to clear the past foggy memory of the last week or so. I remember being in immense pain, then the sounds of a cat hissing and screeching. Afterwards I see the face of an old man before horrified before seeing a flash of the same face only blank and drenched in blood. It didn't stop there and soon sitting in the car became suffocating. I closed my eyes and willed myself to stop remembering but it just went on and on like I couldn't help myself. It went onto an image of a house and then of an old woman, it might have been his wife who knows. Then the same lifeless look was spread across her features as well as the scarlet liquid splattered on the floor and walls. I remember running; searching like a wild animal on a hunt. The sound of my heavy breathing that could almost be described as growling and heavy footfalls rang in my ears, I truly sounded like a monster. It was only then did I noticed I had stopped breathing in the car. I didn't alert anyone, but they noticed anyways and soon I could feel the car stop. Xiumin and Luhan left my sides, and the car doors were left open- I could tell by the breeze that drifted in. I still didn't open my eyes, but instead took off my seatbelt and willed myself to breathe. My breathing was short, sparsely put together and painful and I had no idea how to stop it. I hadn't been like this since I was a child. No one approached me and I preferred it that way but that meant it took a whole lot longer to try and calm my breathing. Once regular, I laid my head, face-down in my knees and kept breathing- blocking out the murmurs in the background.

Soon we were moving again, no one said anything- but I wasn't paying attention so they might have. I suppose this just showed them how messed up I was, they'll definitely leave me now. Maybe that's why they want to talk- to say 'we've had enough, so let's peacefully part ways', 'you're too much to handle so we're going to leave you alone now'. Two hours that Kris had previously mentioned had gone by much faster than expected and we were now on the other side of Jeju Island. The other van with the rest of them in it had already reached the house before us and they were most likely inside. Like EXO's many other houses this one was modern, chic but still retained its cold and unlived in aspects. It had hanging lights upon entry into the hallway, with white walls and a wooden rack for shoes. They lead me out to where the others were- on the back garden porch that overlooked the beach. It was wooden decking and had a large table, a BBQ, some sun loungers and stairs that lead down to the beach. The others were laughing about something but stopped when they saw us.    "You look like ."   I didn't respond to Baekhyun's comment, he was probably right after all. Suho gave him a harsh smack on the back of the head and hissed for him to shut his mouth. I ing hate them.   What a mistake I made coming here, what would I expect anyways. What would be the value of the scum of the earth to a bunch of rich bastards? This is sickening, the kind that takes hold of your throat while stomach turns inside out. There is no prince on a white horse riding off into the distance with his damsel that he fought a dragon over, no there's 12 vampires and a monster. As absurd as this sounds- it would have been easier for everyone if I was human, that naive innocence that they have will always win over what I have- the complusion to destroy. It would have been simple, I would've been a normal human all my life- lived among the humans and actually contributed to this world into a good way. Then one day, the 12 would've found me- I would've been shell shocked but their possiveness would mean that they would make me live with me and I would soon come to accept what they were. Then-    Wait, what would happen next? Would I live my life with them, as if this was all normal?  But then, what if this all switched around? What if they accepted me?   They sat me down and soon things around me blurred, I wasn't listening- I never really did and sudden a spark was lit- a little flame of hope I never had before burned dimly in me and for a moment; one sti
