The lights were glaring and sounds deafening, leaving them frozen on the stage with smiles plastered and hands waving at no particular person.
"If we survive this, I am going to kill myself," Taecyeon threatened in between clenched teeth.
"You look nice," Miyoung diverted, looking at ease with - or at least used to - all the attention. "And besides, you brought out your Nidoking especially for this."
"Just because I dislike contests doesn't mean I haven't tried one before," he muttered, daring a glance at the two girls.
Both of them had opted for simple outfits that were attractive but not obnoxious. Miyoung's dress was white and accompanied by layers of jewelry in a way that was fashionable rather than overbearing, her hair curled lightly and left down (ø). Dari, on the other hand, had kept her hair up though neater and opted for a white dress shirt with a black pair of slacks and a flattering grey vest (ø).
"And you still chose an outfit like that?" Dari replied, words full of poison but smile full of light. He looked at his own outfit, a grey wife beater and black jeans (ø).
"I have my reasons," he settled for stating.
"And now, starting today's Normal Cute Contest!" the MC shouted, earning a roar from the crowd.
He bit back a whimper.
Why a contest?

"Koko, time to shine!" she declared, throwing her pokéball up into the air. (Please hover over the images.)
The crowd cheered as Koko made a round around the stage, shooting water into the air so that it glistened from the stage lights.
