CHAPTER 15:

I am Baekhyun, Byun Baekhyun.

Nerd. Geek. Weird. Uncanny. Grade-conscious. Teacher’s pet. Whatever you call it. All I know was maintaining good grades, getting awards, medals, plaques and making my parents proud. I never flopped to bring bacons home. Failing wasn’t integrated in my vocabulary.

Chanyeol transferred to our school and fortunately, he attended the same class as me.

Before his hasty appearance, I was the best, the cynosure, the number one but then, all of a sudden, he showed me the feeling of how to be beaten off, how to face tougher challenges. I used to hate him and even thought of revenge over him, conversely, I fell for him. And that was the best thing that happened in my life.

With him, I knew life was not about achievements. It was more about on to whom you’ll share those accomplishments of yours.

Five years already had passed, and we’re still together. I went home from Japan last year and I am now the CEO of our growing clothing-line business. As the boss, I was thankful that I have the privilege to handle my time, that I can spend most of it with my giant. But still, I make sure I’m hands-on with everything. And Chanyeol finally have his license as a surgeon. He’s working at the most prestigious hospital in Seoul.

We finally reached our dreams. Albeit everything wasn’t easy at all. Sure, we had mix-ups just like all the couples undergo on but we were able to handle everything. We held on to each others and continue to believe that with our love we could conquer all.

I am Byun Baekhyun and I promise to love Park Chanyeol even after life.
