So apparently it's been 5 years since this site started up, ey?

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY AFF! 

How I came across this site?

I don't remember clearly...it must be because of awesome_501. Gloria unnie was writing a SS501 fanfic and I was paired up with my Youngsaeng BB and that's how it started. <3 I joined because I desperately wanted to comment and spazz spam her fic. XD She never finished it. OnO It's alright though, VCE does take a toil on some people. ;u;

But now that I actually remember properly, when I first got into the Triple S fandom and K-pop in general I was kinda browsing through the Triple S Philippines blog website thingo cause that was the only legit source of PURE SS501 stuff in proper English. OTL Annnd I just happen to stumble upon the fanfiction area and I was immediately intrigued, although half of the stories were in Tagalog and I couldn't under one word of it. Heck, I didn't even know Philippines actually existed until then. Good job K-pop for making me more aware of the world out there. ;u;

My first username?

J_A_N_I_C_E...*facepalms* Such originality. e.e;; Glaaad I've changed it, although my karma points went down drastically since then.

Why I want to stay?

I sometimes ask myself similar questions too. Why the freak am I still here after so many years? I've been here since the start of my high school life (well...technically the end of my first year in year 7 when I was still 12), even before I was legally old enough to. I'm not sure growing up in my adolescence with AFF having such an influence on me is good or not. I've definitely gotten more ier since thanks to the overpopularity of fics here, and I'm having a bad influence on my friends at school too by introducing them to this site. Now it's spreading like a virus throughout our school's Asian community because I started by introduced AFF to just my bestie kissmekkkris, and now look at the destruction I caused~ But during my early years I was rather interested in writing, and reading other people's works really inspired me too.

Now, I'm not so much reading or writing anything. Rather I inappropriately use this site to communicate with fellow K-pop fans (where have all the J-pop gone? ;;) and to roleplay, BUT I DON'T REGRET UGH. Through AFF --> RP, I've met some very...interesting people who have also impacted to some degree. Yes it's a positive impact. <3 Heck I even met some of these peeps in real life! Shout out to the Always There RP family! ^O^ But yes, I can already tell that AFF is a big impact on my teenage life. I wonder if I'll still use this site when I graduate out of high school, when I become an adult and maybe in university, on my path to my career. Bloop. Who knows? We will all know what will happen in 2 years time. ;;

Some of my favorite things about this site?

Despite how y some fanfics can be here (like seriously half of these fics aren't even stories because LAYOUTS and ROLEPLAYS and K-POP IDOL FACTS are totes stories. -.-"), I really like the features that had developed over the course of these years. It's very user-friendly, and visually appealing to look at and use. I LOVE GREEN. LMFAO I remember a few years back when AFF was starting to have this sort of layout, it was orange.

That colour was so ugly, LMFAO. But glad it was changed it to green. It must be some coincidence, seriously. My favourite colour is green, which is stemmed from my obsession over Buttercup in Powerpuff Girls when I was younger. LOLOLOL! And THEEEN SS501's fanclub colour is a beautiful Pearl Light Green.

And now AFF is green too. Like. Omigosh. Seriously even my new phonecase is green. OTL AND MY MALE K-POP CLONE'S FAVOURITE COLOUR IS GREEN TOO. Yes I'm referring to the hyperactive dino with a golden heart in INFINITE. Dongwoo~ <3

A msg to leave: 

I really want to thank Jason for making this site in the first place. I know there was a deeper and slightly tragic backstory behind the creation of AFF and I really want to acknowledge that. Jason, in my opinion, is really someone I kinda look up too. Not even lying. I may not know him personally but the amount of time and effort and all that dedication he puts into AFF to satisfy all users is an admirable trait, and is something that I should work on myself. He displays what working with a servant's heart is. Everything he does is for the benefit of the AFF community.

AFF has really evolved into something that is sooooo much more than just a fanfic site, TBH. Although its content may have several flaws and all, this site is practically my second FB. I go on it everyday, it's a big part of my online social life. To all of you peeps I've met during my time here, I would like to say thank you! Each and everyone of you will be remembered...fornowanyway. *shot* XD You guys make up special, unique memories in my head.
