Chapter 16
It's all the Angels' fault!‘Ahjumma! Is Myungsoo in?’ Woohyun rung the bell and Mrs Kim opened the door.
‘Aigoo. Didn’t Myungsoo told you? He went ahead first! He said that he had some business with some schoolmates or something. Give him a call and find out from him, ne? I don’t really know what that kid is doing.’ Mrs Kim looked apologetic as she recalled what Myungsoo was doing this morning.
‘It’s alright. I will be on my way school now. Thank you ahjumma!’ Woohyun bowed and walked off.
Hm. Business with some schoolmates? That sounded so not-Myungsoo. Woohyun thought to himself as he wandered off to some street. Weird. It was the right way to school but he didn’t see any other students from Woollim High who lived in the same district. Woohyun checked his phone. Hm. He wasn’t late as well. So where was everyone? The street was so empty that it kind of sent creeps down Woohyun’s spine.
All of a sudden, a huge dark shadow cast over Woohyun and as Woohyun looked up, his eyes widened in horror.
A person wearing white was falling towards him! So should he doge or should he catch the person? Would he end up in the hospital like Myungsoo and would not wake up for a few months? Before he could figure out anything, his body reacted faster than his thought. That was – his hands were out to receive whoever that was.
‘Oof.’ Woohyun almost collapsed with the person in his arms.
‘My gosh! Why is there still a human? I am pretty sure I made them go other ways.’ The guy in Woohyun’s arms grunted.
Woohyun stared at the person in awe, despite the fact that the person seemed to be rude, Woohyun thought he saw an angel and the song ‘I saw an angel’ ran through his brain. The guy in his arms was so beautiful! If he had liked Sungyeol last time, then he knew that this guy in his arm would be love at first sight.
‘Young man, have you stared enough? Are you going to put me down or are you going to continue stoning here? I don’t have all time in the world you know. I am a very busy person.’ That guy furrowed his brows and narrowed his eyes as he said that.
‘I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do that. Are you okay, sir?’ Woohyun snapped out of his daze and placed the person on his feet gently, with his face slightly blushing.
‘Yeah. I’m fine.’ The person just waved him off.
‘Do you know how to go to Woollim High School by any chance?’

‘Hyung!’ Sungjong exclaimed when he saw Myungsoo.
‘Yes, I saw him. Stop yelling Sungjong. It’s embarrassing.’ Sungyeol was blushing as he saw Myungsoo approaching him.
Girls around them were all whispering and squealing in delight as the two kingkas of the school gathered together.
‘Morning, Sungyeol.’ Myungsoo gave him a flashy smile as he greeted him. ‘And you too, Sungjong.’
‘M-Morning.’ Sungyeol stuttered a little as he kept his head low, unwilling to let Myungsoo see his blushing face. Gosh. His face felt as though it was heating up and if anyone cracks an egg on his cheeks the egg would have cooked in a minute.
‘Are you alright? You look really flustered.’ Myungsoo looked concerned as he stared at Sungyeol’s face. ‘Ah, you must be embarrassed because of the falling accident, aren’t you? Well, don’t mind that. I am fine. Plus, I don’t hold any grudge on you so don’t get so worked out.’
‘Y-You don’t remember?’ Sungyeol stared at him.
‘Am I supposed to remember anything?’ Myungsoo gave him a confused look. ‘Anyway, the class is starting so I’d better get going. See you around Sungyeol!’
With that, Myungsoo was gone leaving Sungyeol with a heavy heart.
‘Jongie. He doesn’t remember. All of it. What should I do now?’ Sungyeol turned to Sungjong with teary eyes.
‘Hyung, don’t get too upset about it. Maybe that angel removed those memories? Oh, come on. Memories are meant to be created so why not create new memories with him from now on?’ Sungjong patted Sungyeol’s shoulder as they headed to their home class together.
‘You’re right. I should take up the courage to confess to him.’ Sungyeol felt motivated and walked confidently back to class.
Since Sungyeol had been a model student, plus he won the Kingka competition, teachers didn’t take notice of what he do in class as long as his results remained as the first in the cohort. Therefore, Sungyeol started using foolscap papers to make drafts of confession letter to Myungsoo.
Dear Myungsoo,
I really like you. Not because you are handsome, but because of your kind soul. Please go out with me.
Sungyeol stared at his letter with satisfaction and passed to Sungjong so that he could check. Sungjong almost laughed out loud in class when he saw what Sungyeol had written.
‘Hyung, it’s not going to work if you write it that way.’ Sungjong whispered. ‘You should put in more cheesy words like I love you, I have been in love with you since the moment I saw you. That kind of thing.’
‘Huh, but isn’t being frank better?’ Sungyeol looked confused.
‘Forget it. You can try with your letter and see if it success.’ Sungjong shrugged and turned his attention back to the teacher who was babbling god-knows-what.
Once the school bell had rung, Sungyeol rushed out of class and put the letter into Myungsoo’s locker, he ran off afterward, unaware that someone was watching him closely.
‘Pabo.’ The person who was watching smiled helplessly as he eyed the running Sungyeol.

‘Sir!’ Woohyun went after the guy in the morning. ‘So you’re going to be one of the new teachers here?’
‘You’ve got a problem with that?’ The person frowned. ‘You can call me Mr Kim.’
‘Mr Kim, would you like to have a cup of tea at the café nearby? I mean, I have some mathematics question to ask you.’ Woohyun looked at Sunggyu with puppy eyes. ‘Please? I have a test coming up and I don’t want to screw it.’
Sunggyu looked at him, furrowing his brows as he thought about it. He had other tasks on hand, which was to monitor the relationship between Myungsoo and Sungyeol and assess the progress they were making. A.k.a. cleaning after Hoya’s mess. But he had lost track of the whereabouts of those two and it was definitely a bad idea to use magic in front of so many people. After he thought about it, since he had nothing better to do as well, he nodded his head and agreed to Woohyun’s request.
Yes. Woohyun did a pump up gesture in his mind as he happily led the older to the nearby café.
