Irene gets letters everyday. She doesn't know how this person was able to get the letters to her, but she gets them. When she first sees them, she thinks that a saesang fan had gave her it, but she had just debuted, she was sure that no one in Red Velvet or Red Velvet as a whole had saesang fans yet. When she first opened up the letter, she was ready for anything gruesome but instead got a neatly written letter.

The ink was in black but the signature was in blue. Everytime it started out, 'Dear Irene,' was in pink. At the end of the letter, there were quotes and a small message written in English. She had asked Wendy to translate and sometimes the girl did although albeit a bit wearily. 

What was weird for her was that whenever she got a letter, Joy and Seulgi would giggle or straight up laugh, leaving herself embarrassed while Wendy kept a blank face.

Walking out of her shared room, she didn't make it to the door before Wendy came in with her mail. The girl handed it to Irene and smiled before going to her bed and placing her earbuds in her ear. Irene looked at Wendy and smiled at the sight before going to her desk and opening the letter. Again, the opening was written in pink.

Dear Irene,

You're doing great with your radio shows and variety shows. Keep up the great work! I'll be here to cheer you on even when you don't know it. I know you might not be able to answer this, but I'll ask anyway. How are you on this fine day? Healthy I hope, wouldn't want my favorite idol to be sick. Did I mention that you're beautiful? I probably did, like a lot in my other letters. But I'm going to keep saying it over and over again because you really are the most beautiful and gorgeous person in the world. That sounds cliche. Anyway, by now I'm sure that you're extremely curious about my identity. I'm not going to tell you but since you're smart, I think you'll figure it out. I have to go now, so see you in the next letter.

Irene blushes as the compliments and smiles at the concerns on her health. Curious about the English quote again, she turns to ask Wendy but stops when se sees the girl dozing off. Her earbuds are still in while she leans her back on the wall. Her head droops to the side and the book that she was holding is on her lap, her hands resting yet still barely grasping the item. Irene's eyes soften and a small smile finds itself tugging on her lips as her heart beats just a bit faster. Walking silently to the sleeping girl, she carefully takes the book and lays Wendy down on the bed without waking her up. Tucking the girl in for her short nap, she smiles when Wendy mumbles and unconsciously gets into her sleeping position.

Placing the book on the table nearby, she peeks inside and sees the same quote from her letter. Irene gasps softly while getting the letter and placing the quotes side by side. It is indeed the exact same words. Irene looks back at Wendy and feels her heart beating faster. Closing the book, she goes to her desk and pulls out the other letters and goes over to Wendy's desk, searching each book for matching quotes.

An hour later, Irene finds 8 out of 12 quotes that have come from Wendy's books. She's so indulged into searching for the quotes, she doesn't even notice Wendy walking towards her.

"Is there a reason you're snooping around my desk?" Irene squeals and almost throws the book out of shock.

She turns and faces Wendy, seeing an apologetic and guilty expression, probably for scaring her.

"Um.." Irene isn't able to find the correct words to answer her.

Instead she remains silent after that and sees Wendy's eyes flicker from her to the letters and books behind her. The neutral expression on Wendy's face turns into a panicked one and Irene almost wants to shout in glee. 

"I-what.." Wendy steps back and blushes a deep red and Irene stands up before lifting the girl's chin up. 

"Seungwan, why do you write letters to me when you can just tell me in person?"

Wendy opens to speak but instead Irene pecks the girl on the cheek before leaving the room.

Wendy falls back onto the bed in a daze.

"Irene unnie, what happened to Wendy unnie?" The maknae asks the leader and she is only given a shrug.

"What's wrong with her?"

"She's on the bed and not responding to anything we say." Seulgi butted in and crossed her arms.

Irene looks at the two girls and feels their prying eyes, but she keeps a straight face on and sighs.

"I'll go check on her." Seulgi nods and grabs Joy's hand, leading them to the small living area.

Irene watches the scene before walking back to her room and she sees Wendy. The girl is indeed on the bed and supposedly in a daze. Irene giggles softly and walks to the bed and sits down next to the younger girl.

"Seungwan-ah." Wendy immediately snaps out of her trance and turns her head to look at Irene.

"Ah! Irene-unnie!" She jumps up and smiles sheepishly while the older girl covers and giggles.

"What were you thinking about?" Irene tilts her head and Wendy wants to just grab the girl and give her a big hug.

'You.' Wendy shuts before she blurts out her thoughts.

Irene pats the spot next to her and Wendy reluctantly sits down, although just a bit farther than expected.

The girl almost falls of the edge of the bed.

"Seungwan, why don't you scoot closer so you don't fall off?" Wendy blushes and scoots closer, but just a little bit.

Irene rolls her eyes before pulling the girl extremely close and she hears Wendy let out an embarrassing squeak.

Irene is laughing. Wendy is pouting.

Wendy watches as Irene laughs her heart out. She looks enchanting. Irene's hand is no longer covering instead she's holding her stomach. The girl's eyes are smaller but just a bit while she grins and lets out a hearty laughter. Wendy's pout transforms into a smile and she laughs with Irene.

After a minute or so, the laughter dies down and both girls are wiping tears from their eyes. Wendy no longer feels uncomforable and is actually quite close to the eldest girl. In distance of course. Although, she's sort of close with Irene in general as well.. 

They sit in silence and Wendy feels Irene grab her hand. She was always the skinship type. Wendy intertwines their fingers but still looked away and said nothing.

"Seungwan. Close your eyes for a minute." Wendy looks at Irene and furrows her eyebrows.

"Why?" 

"I have a surprise for you." Well, Wendy always liked surprises.

The younger girl closed her eyes and felt Irene's hand slip from her grasp. She felt a wave of coldness wash over her hand and almost frowned. 

She was surprised.

Extremely surprised.

Warm lips, not plump but just right for kissing, were on hers. A hand was secured behind her neck and she felt goosebumps forming on her arms from the cool touch.

Wendy's eyes flew open and she saw Irene's eyes closed. 

Irene's lips were on hers. Irene was kissing her. 

Wendy closed her eyes and reciprocated the kiss, tilting her head to the right. Her hand reached for Irene's free hand, and like magnets, they both held onto each other's hands as if they were molded into one.

Slowly moving back from the kiss, they both made eye contact before blushing, their already flushed face turning even more red.

"Usually I follow rules really well. Especially the dating ban that we, at the moment, have. But.." Irene trailed off for a moment and smiled at Wendy.

And Wendy knew that she would be the only one getting those smiles.

"I can make an exception for you."

Wendy smashed their lips together as they resumed their session. 

She's so glad that she wrote those letters.

Wendy and Irene walked out of their room but the older girl froze when she came across the scene in front of her.

Joy and Seulgi were in a serious make out session. 

Irene immediately covered Wendy's mouth when the girl was about to ask her something. She pointed to the girls and Wendy's eyes widened.

The maknae had Seulgi pinned to the wall and Seulgi's hands were roaming. 

Irene's hand went limp.

"WHAT THE ." Both girls yelled and Joy jumped away from Seulgi with a squeal.

Seulgi remained in shock and looked like she was going to faint. 

"This isn't what is looks like?" 

"Don't try to pull that trick on us Sooyoung." Joy pouted and sat down on the couch.

"Seulgi." Wendy walked over to the girl and gave her a serious stare.

Irene watched the girl in amusement before getting ready to run back to her room.

"YOU JUST GOT ED, !" Wendy and Irene laughed before scurrying off to their room, leavng Joy and Seulgi with bewildered stares.

"Did they just.."

"Yeah, I think they did unnie." Joy looked at Seulgi and before giving a devious smile.

A few days later, Wendy and Irene are on the bed. Irene on top of Wendy and looking down at the girl. Wendy's breathing was a bit harsh as she lay their with a flushed face.

Joy and Seulgi opened their door silently and dragged their pillows in before they charged at the two girls.

", YOU JUST GOT ED!" Seulgi whacked Irene with the pillow and the leader fell to the side with an oomf and Joy slammed the pillow on Wendy.

"HOW DOES IT FEEL NOW UNNIE!" They scurried off and locked the door to their room for the rest of the day.
