Sooyoung sighed as she looked over at Hyoyeon, who was oblivious to her. She wanted the shorter girl to come to her and talk, hang out like they used to but it couldn't be like that because Sooyoung was afraid that she would do something like confess or just kiss the girl out of no where.

"Sooyoung unnie stop sighing and just go talk to her."

"I can't Yoona."

"Why not? She's your best friend unnie, she's starting to wonder if you're avoiding her or hiding something from her."

"In which both cases I am."

Yoona frowned and looked at Seohyun.

"Unnie, Yoona is right, you should at least talk to her or text her so she can feel somewhat at peace."

"If you're texting her, at least there's a less chance of you blurting out a confession and kissing her."

Sooyoung sighed and nodded before taking out her phone.

To: Hyoyeon 

Message: hyoyeonie~ :c

Yoona and Seohyun smiled at getting some sense into Sooyoung and looked over to Hyoyeon who grinned while looking at her phone.

From: Hyoyeon

Message: sooyoungie~ are u hungry again?

Sooyoung smiled. Hyoyeon knew her a bit too well.

To: Hyoyeon

Message: starving x.x 

Sooyoung and Hyoyeon were grinning to themselves while texting and Tiffany and Jessica stared at both of them dumbfounded until Tiffany let out a long 'oh'.

"They're texting each other Jessi~!"

Jessica smiled knowing the maknaes had gotten Sooyoung to text Hyoyeon. It was a start at least. The two of them took another glance at Hyoyeon, who shook her head but her grin was still in place. She was tapping her phone screen while probably ignoring what her friends were saying.

"Come on Steph, we have to finish our project."

Tiffany pouted but nodded and followed Jessica.

From: Hyoyeon

Message: poor u. go get something to eat :P

Sooyoung bit her lip and looked at Hyoyeon really quickly before sighing.

To: Hyoyeon

Message: go out and eat with me~ pleaseeeeeee 

Sooyoung nervously tapped the table and Yoona noticed this.

"Why are you nervous?"

"I just asked her if she wanted to go eat with me."

"Well, I hope you don't have your infamous blurting moments."

"Or, unnie, you can confess there."

Sooyoung shrugged and pondered. She didn't want to ruin their friendship but she wanted them to be more than best friends also.

From: Hyoyeon 

Message: sure(: r u driving or..?

Sooyoung rolled her eyes. She always drove, but she could understand where Hyoyeon was coming from.

To: Hyoyeon 

Message: ofc I'm driving, I always drive.

Sooyoung heard a huff and looked over to Hyoyeon who furrowed her eyebrows. Sooyoung almost laughed, but just stuck to smiling.

From: Hyoyeon

Message: geez ok. mean :c

Sooyoung smiled and grabbed her stuff before standing up.

"See you two later." 

Yoona and Seohyun nodded and smiled while Sooyoung headed to Hyoyeon. Sooyoung held Hyoyeon's waist and rested her chin on the shorter girl's head.

"Sorry ladies, I'm gonna kidnap Hyoyeon for a bit."

"You guys seriously look like a couple."

"Do we?"

"Yeah, you're one of the rumored couples."

Sooyoung swallowed a lump in and forced out a smile.

"Hyoyeonie~ I'm hungry now, come on~""

Hyoyeon rolled her eyes and got out of Sooyoung's hold.

"Alright, geez. I'll see you guys later, this shikshin is gonna eat the cafe dry."

Hyoyeon's classmates smiled and nodded before the two friends headed off.

"So the usual place?" 

"Hmm.. Yeah."

Hyoyeon nodded and smiled when she saw Sooyoung reach her hand back and Hyoyeon grabbed it immediately before walking side by side with the tall girl.

"Look, it's HyoYoung."

"We ship HyoYoung!"

Hyoyeon giggled when she heard these and saw Sooyoung smile.

"I guess we really are a rumored couple."

"We're OTPs also." 

Sooyoung nodded to a girl who wore a t-shirt with HyoYoung on it.

"I seriously think this is only cause we're supposedly one of the 'populars'."

"Along with Sica, Fany, Sunny, Taeyeon, Yoona, Seohyun and Yuri."

"Yeah but they seem to make a bigger deal out of us."

"Probably cause we're the ones, along with Yuri, who aren't dating."

"True, but I'm pretty sure Yuri dating.."

Sooyoung shrugged but still kept holding Hyoyeon's hand.

"I don't know, and if she is then I had no clue at all."

Sooyoung opened the car door for Hyoyeon, who smiled and sat in the car. Sooyoung closed the door and went to the driver's seat.

"I can understand why people would think we were dating."

"Oh?"

"You're pampering me."

"That's true."

Sooyoung looked at Hyoyeon and smiled before starting to drive. Hyoyeon blushed and fanned herself.

"WOW Hyo, you're blushing."

In truth, Sooyoung heart was doing flips and she was trying her best to keep a calm composure. All she wanted to do was stop the car and kiss Hyoyeon. That and she also wanted to jump out of the car.

"Shut up!"

Sooyoung chuckled and Hyoyeon found the noise pleasant to her ear. Hyoyeon has been wondering for a while about the feelings she has been getting around Sooyoung. Hyoyeon stared at Sooyoung, making sure that the younger but taller girl would not catch her.

Usually, the car rides would be full of chatter. Sooyoung would talk with Hyoyeon about something that recently happened or Hyoyeon would start the conversation with a simple joke. But this time, the car was silent but the atmosphere was still light. Sooyoung saw Hyoyeon furrow her eyebrows and almost let out a small chuckle. Instead, she reached out to Hyoyeon's hand and pulled it near her and held it. Hyoyeon almost blushed but she remembered. 

Right. Sooyoung did this all the time. Just friendly interaction. Nothing more, don't panic Hyo. 

Hyoyeon almost started to panic when Sooyoung carressed her fingers, which the older girl had never done. And by never, she meant never, not even on accident.

Sooyoung noticed that Hyoyeon's expressions were all over the place and that she started to unconsciously squeeze Sooyoung's hand. Sooyoung squeezed it and turned to look at the older girl as she stopped for the red light.

"Hyo, you're tense, and your expressions are everywhere. Calm down."

"Sorry! I'm just thinking about something."

"About what?"

"Um.."

Hyoyeon blushed and cleared . Sooyoung stepped on the petal when the light turned green and waited for Hyoyeon to answer.

"Well.. I think I'm.. In love?"

Sooyoung's eyes bulged out of her sockets and almost stopped right in the middle of the road. She was definitely not expecting that and she swallowed, wondering when became dry.

"Really now? Tell me who it is?"

Sooyoung's voice wavered a bit and she hoped Hyoyeon did not notice it. Her hands were sweating and the steering wheel was getting a bit more.. Slippery to hold on to. Meanwhile Hyoyeon tapped her finger on her lap and saw the cafe close by.

"Um.. I-I'll tell you when we get in the cafe.."

Sooyoung nodded, not sure if Hyoyeon saw it. She parked quickly and got out, opening the door for Hyoyeon, who did not even get a chance to touch the door. Hyoyeon smiled and playfully curtsied, making the both of them break out in laughter.

After a moment of the quieting laughter, the two girls walked into the cafe. As they stepped in, the ringing from the door silencing slowly, they immediately spotted Sunny and Taeyeon, who were just hanging around since they were not busy.

"Yo. Midgets."

Sooyoung grinned when they turned and glared at her, but immediately rubbed her ribs after being nudged, quite harshly, by Hyoyeon. Sooyoung smiled sheepishly to the girl before walking to an empty table.

Sunny and Taeyeon walked over and Sunny took out a notepad while Taeyeon wrapped her arms around the shorter girl's waist.

"Whatcha guys want today?"

"Hmm.. I'll just have a slice of that new cake you guys got yesterday and iced tea."

Sunny nodded and wrote down the order on her notepad while Taeyeon looked over to Sooyoung.

"Please don't eat all of our supply of chocolate cake."

Sooyoung grinned and winked playfully.

"No promises."

Taeyeon groaned and Sunny smiled before pecking the older girl on the cheek. Hyoyeon stared at Sooyoung discreetly as she gave her order.

"Just two slices of chocolate cake and lemonade. I'll spare you guys today."

Sunny huffed but wrote down the order, before the two store owners walked off and prepared the younger girls' orders.

"So.. Who's the lucky guy you like?"

Hyoyeon almost choked on her own saliva and Sooyoung gave her a concerned look. Hyoyeon laughed sheepishly before correcting herself.

"W-well.. It's not.. A guy.."

Sooyoung felt her heart beat faster but she still felt a small jolt of pain. Shouldn't be getting our hopes up now.

"So you like a girl?"

Hyoyeon nodded and bit the inside of her cheek. It was a habit that she did when she was nervous. She tasted iron and knew that she had bit her cheek just a bit too hard. She was even more nervous, since she was.. Confessing to Sooyoung.

"Tell me about her?"

"W-well.. She's really nice. And seriously super funny. She always has a way to make the atmosphere lighter, even if it's just a little bit and even though she jokes around a lot, when something gets serious, she knows when to stop."

The way Hyoyeon nearly swooned made the pain in Sooyoung's chest grow and she hoped that their orders would hurry up and finish so she can at least have some sort of relief.

The way Hyoyeon's eyes sparkled and how she smiled so brightly, Sooyoung felt bad for wanting the girl to herself. All these years Sooyoung discreetly fought away boys who had even a slight interest in her dear best friend. How quaint. Sooyoung felt even dumber for figuring out her feelings a bit too late. How could she not know that she had fallen in love with her best friend, a girl she had hung around with for 10 years, 11 counting this year after July 12th. She even remembered the date of when she first met her! She felt like those boys who were that girl's best friend and had a long time crush on their best friend and ended up marrying them. Stupid dramas, giving her hope like that. Although it's her fault for wanting to always refresh some Japanese.

Her thought train crashed when Sunny and Taeyeon came back with their orders. Sooyoung smiled and brought her drink up to her lips.

"Remind me again why two 17 year olds decided to open up a cafe while they still are in high school and have a ton of work."

"Oh shut up."

"What? You're both from high class families who accept your relationship and Taeyeon, you're YouTube famous, Sunny you also get to be in Taeyeon's videos sometimes."

"Hey, I admit it was for fun at first, but I sort of always wanted to do something with Taeyeon like this."

Sunny smiled to Taeyeon, who gave a cheeky grin back. Those two were seriously in love.

Hyoyeon and Sooyoung looked at each other before gagging and were rewarded with slaps to the head. Sooyoung rubbed her head and stuck her tongue out at Taeyeon and the eldest girl shook her head before going to another table with Sunny.

"So whose the lucky person?"

Hyoyeon choked on a piece of cake she was eating and took a drink of her iced tea. Sooyoung bit her lip and quickly apologized.

"It's alright, I was sort of caught off-guard, so no worries."

Sooyoung nodded and folded her hands on the table, which was a sign for Hyoyeon. It meant that Sooyoung had her full attention on her.

Hyoyeon hoped that she would always have her attention.

"W-well.. It's um.."

Hyoyeon bit her lip and took in a deep breath. 

"You."

Sooyoung took a couple of seconds for it to sink in before her eyes bulged out of her sockets and her jaw dropped. 

"M-me?"

"Y-yeah, it's alright if you know.. Feel uncomfortable with-"

"Hyoyeon."

"Y-yeah?"

Hyoyeon fidgeted in her seat. Maybe she shouldn't have confessed.

"I like you too."

"W–are–Please tell me you aren't joking with me."

"I'm not joking with you."

Hyoyeon opened and closed it a couple of times before giving up and letting Sooyoung do whatever she wanted.

"In all honesty, I was going to confess to you today.."

Sooyoung scratched her nape and laughed sheepishly. Hyoyeon smiled and played with her fingers.

"So um.."

"I honestly don't want to be like Jessica and Tiffany.."

The both of them cringed, remembering how the two American-borns literally d each other in front of them when they got together.

"So.. Be my girlfriend?"

Hyoyeon nodded and soon after that Sunny and Taeyeon jumped out of nowhere and threw confetti around them.

"Finally! HyoYoung is official!"

"Oh God—"

"Time to celebrate! Call the rest of the gang!"

The two younger girls groaned while hiding their faces from the bystanders in the cafe.

Sooyoung helped Hyoyeon out of the car after they had been painstakingly dragged to their little hangout to celebrate.

The two girls stood there awkwardly, looking anywhere except for the person in front of them. They heard cars drive by and the street lights provided enough lighting for them.

"Um.. I guess I should go then.."

Sooyoung saw Hyoyeon raise her head before stepping up.

"Yeah.. See you tomorrow then.."

The shorter girl stood on her tiptoes and planted a kiss on Sooyoung's cheek before hurrying to her house.

"Good night."

Sooyoung smiled and waved.

"Sleep tight Hyo."

The shorter girl went inside the house and Sooyoung stood there, a hand on her cheek.

"I can get used to this."

AN: HOHOHOHOHO HyoYoung for the win! I wanted to try to end this in a different way but, seriously, what's the fun in that!?  My birthday is tomorrow. ;-; I'm not looking forward to it, so instead of wallowing in my depression, I decided to finish this and post it for your sakes! :D Peace~!
