We Will be Fine
His name is LeoFortunately, Leo or whoever he is already learned that kidnapping and killing have consequences in the human world, for whatever reason. Somebody is going to link everything that happened, somebody is going to put all the pieces together, and they would find evidences of slaughter that happened in my basement.
We don’t need that.
I gave Leo a large duffel bag to pack whatever it is he wanted to pack. I have a large carrier backpack myself, and a large duffel bag. We packed all things that would be necessary in our run.
I always have an escape plan. Always.
That is what my mother taught me before she died. My father is not a trustworthy person, neither is his colleague. My mother knew this, thus she prepared a failsafe for my life. She lived her life believing that all her efforts to make this plan will be useful one day, and she was right.
Mother’s instinct never fails.

We cleaned up, packed clothes, some food, a lot of money and miscellaneous stuffs. We said goodbye to the house—our house—and thank it for all the memories it sheltered. We grabbed all the kittens and walked away.
During my childhood, I visited the house often as this was my mother family’s house. I remembered someone that was kind and caring... just like in story books. That auntie at the end of the street. She used to give me flowers—she has lots and lots of them growing in her yard. She used to have cats, too. I’m sure we can leave our kittens to her care.
After leaving a box of kitten with a letter signed by me in front of her house, we hopped on the last bus, heading to a specified address my mom made me remember years ago.

Apparently, the place is a gas station. I walked in and find the owner, and she was mom’s schoolmate who owes my mom a lot. Or at least she said so. She directed us towards a fully loaded car, no questions asked.
There I found a heapful of cash, a house-key with an address, and basic camping necessities. We hopped on, and I drove to the address.
This is fine. This is fine.
Leo is with me.
We’ll be fine....
