Sungmin said in front of the mirror of his bathroom one morning. He cannot understand why one day he just realised that
his craziness had brought him this far. He thought its actually impossible as he never thought the magnae will treat him
better and better to the point of caring for him too much. well, too much for his heart to handle that is.
He looked down and become so depressed.
“How is it even possible? You should have asked yourself… you shouldn’t have treated me well!” he argued with the mirror.
He sighed deeply and said… “Then, again… I have to stop this before I go crazy for real.”

Sungmin closed his eyes hardly as he sighed while Kyuhyun is doing the adlib,  but then it was just an excuse...he
was avoiding Kyuhyun's eyes which he knows are on him.

And since when did Sungmin started really caring for Kyuhyun? since when did he started seeing him more than a
bandmate, more than a magnae? and since when did he develop this sense of insecurity over Joohyun's borrowing
incident?he doesn't know.
The only thing that Sungmin knows is that his heart beats extraordinarily special whenever this magnae is around.

He can feel the possibility of Kyuhyun falling for him but he can also feel the impossibility of it as this magnae
never sees him as himself.

He's hating the fact that Kyuhyun treats him more than a friend. Always smiling at him in a very evil way, always looking
at him like he can see through him, always asking him to pat him to sleep, always kissing his eyelids when he cannot sleep
always singing the songs he write wholeheartedly, always up all the air in the room. Always... always...always
making him look forward to another day with the magnae.

Sungmin hates all this fact, much more he hates what he feels now. He wants to stop this craziness as much as
possible. And so...this song is a confession. He loves this bad magnae and he has to stop this feeling.

"Hyung..." Donghae started. "'What if' makes me think you've been rejected."

Sungmin looked at him but with a straight face. Kyuhyun listened and saw the oldest guy's exprsssionless face.

Donghae... oblivious as he is, continuously ask... "are you dating recently? I dont think Ive seen you going out."

Sungmin just sighed and pat Donghae's shoulder. "Donghae-ah... thanks for the concern. 'What if' is just a song,
whatever you think is the message of it, is the message of it." confused, Donghae was left behind as Sungmin helped
Siwon in fixing his things.

Kyuhyun followed him and looked. "you're not dating, right?" he said suspiciously which made Sungmin raise his eyebrows.
The magnae suddenly stuttered as he tried explaining... "I mean...if-if you are rejected... a-at least we can..."
he wondered why 'rejected' was the word he used.

"Yah...Leave me alone." Sungmin said coldly and walked towards Siwon. Kyuhyun was left in great disbelief as the
older guy walked pass through him.

Inside the bus, Eunhyuk and Donghae sat down on their usual spot as Kyuhyun waited for Sungmin to reach their spot
before sitting down but to his surprise, Sungmin sat in front of Eunhyuk and Donghae and completely ignored him.
Kyuhyun looked down with a sigh... 'what's wrong with this guy?' he asked in his mind as he sat on their usual place. He watches Sungmin resting his head on the window side.

'but 'what if'... what if you're going to love me?' Kyuhyun wondered after reciting the first words of the song.
'And did I see something in his eyes when he sang his part?' he continued. 'this Lee Sungmin... you sure can make me worry.'
