“What do you want to know?” I asked them quietly.
“Just the little details… How you met, what your relationship’s like… Especially now that he’s Branded you.”
“I… There’s nothing to tell. We don’t have a relationship, not really.”
“You know I always used to feel pity for Humans who were Marked by demons. They were usually unaware, or if they did know about it, they were disgusted. You want to know why, Miss Jung?” He didn’t wait for me to answer. “Because they know as well as we do that to the Demon that attacked them, they were nothing more than food. That’s also what you are, Miss Jung. A personalised lunch box. Food on tap, whenever he wants it.”
I flinched at the harsh words and turned away from him furiously. “Then it’s obvious you know nothing!”
“Don’t I?” He chuckled. “Because that’s funny. I wasn’t aware you also had century’s worth of knowledge on Demons and their behaviours at your disposal like I do.”
“You might have all that, but you don’t know Myungsoo. Not personally. What happened between us… It was an accident. He never meant to hurt me; he wouldn’t hurt anyone on purpose!”
“Let me guess… His fangs just slipped?” He pushed aside his suits blazer to reveal a swords sheath attached to his belt. He drew the sword out slowly, the blade scraping against the metal sheath with a harsh grinding sound that made me and many others in the room wince. He swung it free idly and I watched the strange bright metal curiously, noticing the weird glow it had… Surely that wasn’t just the lighting? “Then would you hold it against me if my hand just slipped and stabbed Sehun in the chest?” He asked casually.
He swung and before I could let out a scream in protest, he sent the blade into the center of Sehun’s chest right to the hilt, the boy in question frozen in it’s hold as his eyes slowly lowered to his wound. I cried out as Hyun Jin wrenched the blade out roughly, causing Sehun to sink to the floor with a groan. Immediately the rest of EXO were surrounding him, their eyes frantic and filled with hatred as they settled on Hyun Jin.
"You Bastard!" Tao hissed.
“It’s fine.” Hyun Jin laughed, seeming amused by their reactions. “Watch.”
He grabbed my arm and roughly dragged me towards Sehun’s fallen form, his grip on my wrist boarding painful as I struggled uselessly. His blade was in his other hand, the glow seeming to brighten as it neared me and I cringed away from it as he pulled me to face him and held it over the arm he held. He sliced clean across the area below my elbow joint, his eyes lit up in sick fascination as my skin fizzled and smoked at the metal’s touch. Despite the shallow gash I cried out in agony, the burning metal searing through me and causing my knees to give out below me. My arm was wrenched up as Hyun Jin kept a firm hold and half dragged me closer to Sehun.
The rest of EXO stood tensely, watching as he let my blood drip from my wound and onto Sehun’s, who moaned as it splashed and let out a soft sizzling sound on contact. Throwing me away roughly to the floor, Hyun Jin blocked my view of Sehun as he leaned over him, leaving me to crawl away from him in horror, grasping my freely bleeding arm as I did so.
“See!” Hyun Jin announced smugly, stepping away from Sehun with his arms held wide. “It’s a miracle!”
I watched as Sehun sat up, a scowl on his face as he touched the area he was stabbed gingerly. But as he pulled his hand away, it was clear to all who could see that the skin under his torn T-Shirt was fully healed, y
