When I awoke that next morning I was fully healed.

Looking at my reflection in the mirror I was beginning to wonder if everything had been a huge elaborate dream brought on by the stress of the move. My skin was unmarred, my body completely healthy despite what I had been put through. The only evidence that something had happened was in the form of my crumpled gym clothes, which I could see in the bathroom trash bin. I plucked out my top and inspected the damage with numb fascination.

It was torn and frayed, the light grey fabric coated with speckles of blood, dust and weirdly - scorch marks around the collar.

Dropping it back into the trash with shaking fingers, I stared back at my reflection and frowned. I was lucky to be alive. If Myungsoo hadn't come when he had, Yoona could have really killed me - I had been that powerless against her. The thought terrified me. 

"Hana? You okay in there?" Dara called from her bedroom, tapping on the door lightly.

I  tucked my hair behind my ears and opened the door, finding her dressed in her school uniform. 

"Here." She offered, holding out my school bag. I blinked down at it. "Your uniforms inside." 

"Oh, right." I mumbled.

I didn't even bother asking how they had gotten it out of my gym locker. It was obvious that I'd need to get used to them doing things out of the ordinary, with them being Demons and all. 

Demons... I repeated. That would take some getting used to.

"You okay?" She asked again, looking worried.

I shook my head and forced a smile to my stiff lips. "I'm fine, just coming to terms with everything that happened yesterday."

"I'm sorry you got hurt." She told me sincerely. "If it was up to me I'd march up to Yoona in school and kick her , but Myungsoo said he would be dealing with it."

"How does he intend to do that?"

"I'm not sure... But I trust him. He's plenty pissed at her." 

"Why though?" I frowned. "She was just acting in your best interest, right? Trying to keep me away from you all."

"She was acting like a jealous , that's what she was doing." Dara growled, her anger towards Yoona evident. "She smelled Myungsoo on you and jumped to conclusions that you'd been sleeping together. So she got jealous."

"I think it's obvious to anyone in their right mind that Myungsoo can barely tolerate looking at me, never mind sleeping with me." 

"You're so blind." Dara laughed. "Anyway get dressed, we're gonna be late for school." 

I did as she said, but in truth, my mind on Myungsoo. I was thankful he had saved me, but I didn't want to do anything to piss Yoona - or another Demoness' after him -off. The quicker this Trace would fade, the better, that way I could get the Hell away from him like I should have done in the beginning. There was Dara, of course. I wanted to be friends with her, but if that meant Myungsoo as well, then I was gonna have to limit the amount we saw each other, because I didn't want to piss Yoona off anymore than I had.

She's welcome to him, I thought bitterly. They all are.

I glanced up my reflection and slowly raised my arm to my nose, inhaling. I didn't smell any different, just my usual scent of soap and a light spritz of berry mist spray. Nothing new, no weird smells that could be linked to Myungsoo. I certainly didn't smell of his unique scent, which was a shame. I wouldn't have minded that part so much. Just the memory of it had my heart racing and my mouth cracking open in a wistful smile...

No! stop it! I shook my head violently to dispel such thoughts. He's nothing to me, I reminded myself as I buttoned my shirt. Just your best friends Oppa and a guy whose Trace you happen to carry....

No big deal.

"To say he warned us not to go anywhere alone, he sure is doing a shoddy job." I grumbled to Dara as we walked to school. Alone.

When I had finished dressing and was ready to go to school, Myungsoo had already gone, much to may surprise. 

"He's probably just come to his sense."' She shrugged. "It's not like I can't handle any trouble that might happen."

"You're pretty powerful too, right?" I confir
