Saturday......

“Hey, a date at the amusement park later?”

“Pabo, wanna go out together to the amusement park?”

“Hyoyeon, want to go to the amusement park with me later?”

“Paboyeon, erm, I have extra tickets to the amusement park, wanna go together?”

“Hyo, want to hang out together later?”

Kai had been thinking the whole morning of how to ask Hyoyeon to the amusement park later. He stood in front of the mirror and talked to himself, trying to not sound awkward when he’s gonna ask Hyoyeon later. Kai had noticed that although Hyoyeon is a princess-like girl, she’s a little bit of a choding and likes to have fun so the amusement park is probably the best place to bring her to.

Kai wanted to bring Hyoyeon to the amusement park is of course he wanna get closer to Hyoyeon. He doesn’t want to be just dorm mates with her but friends. Or maybe a little more than friends? Best friends?

It was a Saturday with a perfect weather for going out to play at the amusement park or simply just go for a walk at the park. It was 11AM but a certain blonde was still rolling on her bed and was mumbling something to herself.

“Ah.. So glad that it’s a Saturday and I don’t have to wake up early... Wait, I’m already awake... Hahaha Kim Hyoyeon, you’re funny.” Hyoyeon talked to herself and then smiled to herself.

Kai saw the girl talking to herself and found her scary yet cute at the same time. Is she always like this on a Saturday morning? Haha.

“Paboyeonie.” Kai nudged Hyoyeon to wake her up.

“Hm? We don’t have school today, Kai! GIVE ME A FIVE!” Hyoyeon wanted to high five with Kai but he was too slow.

“I know, pabo. I mean, wanna go to the amusement park today? The weather is good today.” Kai asked, finally popping the question he prepared for the whole morning.

“Amusement park? CALL! Are we gonna go now?” Hyoyeon jerk up from her bed and looked at Kai excitedly. “By the way, can I call you Jongin?” Hyoyeon asked again, now looking like an innocent puppy.

“Of course you can, Yeonie. And yes, we’re gonna go now so get prepared.” Kai ruffled her hair and went to get his clothes.

The both of them got ready in just 15 minutes. Kai wanted to cook breakfast for Hyoyeon but the girl didn’t want to eat and wanted to hurry and go to the amusement park. Kai couldn’t do anything to the stubborn girl and just agreed on going without having breakfast since Hyoyeon kept whining.

Hyoyeon was wearing a white an OBEY crop top with studded blue dip dye high waist shorts while Kai wore a plain red sleeveless shirt and black skinny jeans with a plain black KENZO cap. Hyoyeon wore her black high cut converse sneakers while Kai wore his white Vans slip on.

They reached the amusement park 20 minutes ago and the moment Hyoyeon stepped into the theme park, she kept running around like a little kid and a few times Kai even had difficulty looking for her in the crowd. He even scolded Hyoyeon for being a choding and kept getting lost.

Since they got the VIP pass, they didn’t have to wait for so long for the rides that they wanna go and the duo got onto the Roller Coaster which turns 360 degree 3 times. It’s their 3^rd time going for that ride due to Hyoyeon’s excessive love for that particular ride.

Hyoyeon was fixing her messy hair and she looked like a crazy woman whom just came out from the mental hospital. Kai who was beside her laughed at Hyoyeon and took off his cap and put it on Hyoyeon’s head.

“Use this so your hair doesn’t get messy.” Kai adjusted the size of the cap and put it sideways on Hyoyeon’s head, now she looks like a hip hopper. A cute one.

“Do I look cool?” Hyoyeon did a rocker sign to him.

“Cooler than the weather.” Kai teased and laughed at her. Hyoyeon didn’t have time to counter him back because the roller coaster is going to launch.

“Please Kai... Please!! Just one more time and I promise we’ll go Tower Drop!!” Hyoyeon pleaded Kai to go on the roller coaster one more time after they finished their 3^rd ride.

“No. And what!? You still want Tower Drop?!!?! My heart almost drops out half way during the drop! No. Let’s go eat.” Kai dragged the sulking girl to the restaurant near the roller coaster.

“Such a petty guy. Psh.” Hyoyeon continued to whine while being dragged by Kai.

Kai ordered Spaghetti for Hyoyeon while he ordered Beef Bolognese for himself. They kept talking to each other without even resting for a minute. From when they head out the dorm to the amusement park and now, even when eating they’re still talking to each other.

“Yeon, where do you wanna go after this?” Kai asked while he ate another mouthful of his Bolognese.

“I don’t know. Since we’re near Town, I wanna go get some gifts for my friends at the nearby shopping mall! Can I?” Hyoyeon asked and smiled brightly.

“Of course you can! Well, can I expect a gift too?” Kai asked and smiled cheekily.

“That depends on whether you’ll go on another ride for Tower Drop again with me after this!” Hyoyeon said and dragged Kai out of the restaurant while he’s still eating halfway.

“YAH! I’m still eating and my food hasn’t even digested!” Kai nagged at the girl.

“It’s just Tower Drop, not roller coaster! C’mon don’t be a party pooper. Let’s go!” Hyoyeon dragged Kai to the direction of the VIP queue of Tower Drop.

“Psh. We’re not even partying.” Kai rolled his eyes and earned a glare from Hyoyeon.

“Keep quiet!” Hyoyeon glared at him and Kai immediately shut his mouth tightly.

“Aww. I won’t come to the amusement park with you again!” Kai pouted but got no response from the excited girl.

After Kai successfully dragged the overly-excited, full of energy, a total choding Kim Hyoyeon out of the amusement park, they went to the shopping mall nearby. Hyoyeon kept on whining about not having enough fun and wants to go back again but didn’t have any response from the guy.

Hyoyeon always bought gifts from her friends even when there are no special occasions or anything. She likes to buy gifts for her friends once in awhile to thank them for always being by her side. While shopping, Kai only looked at the girl paying much attention on what things to get. Hyoyeon is so concentrated on the gifts.

“Hey Kai! Let’s go to that Gucci shop!” Kai didn’t realise Hyoyeon was done getting the gifts for Taeyeon and Sunny and got dragged out of the shop by her.

“Jongin, which bag should I get for Tao? I heard his a fan of Gucci.” Hyoyeon asked while looking at those bags that were displayed on the shelf.

“Wow, you’re even going to get a gift for Tao?!” Kai looked at her with widened eyes.

“Yeah... Since he is Yuri’s boyfriend... Might as well get him one too.” Hyoyeon said.

Of course Hyoyeon still remembers that she needs to get a gift for Kai. But since he’s with her, Hyoyeon didn’t want to let Kai know what she will buy for him, “don’t worry! You will have a gift from me too but not gonna tell you what it is.”

“Woah really?! Thanks then!” Immediately a smile formed on Kai’s face.

After deciding on which bag to buy for Tao, Hyoyeon went to the counter and asked for a new one. When she was going to pay, Hyoyeon had some difficulty getting her wallet out because of those bags on her hand. Kai took those shopping bags on Hyoyeon’s hands. The lady at the counter mistook them as a couple.

“You guys look pretty good together. And your boyfriend is so sweet! My boyfriend won’t even help me with my shopping bags.” The lady giggled.

“Oh—no, no! We’re not—“ When Hyoyeon was going to explain, the lady cut her off, “No need to be shy! Let me go get a new bag for you.” She then went into the storeroom.

Hyoyeon looked at Kai and saw his tomato-like face. She went laughing like a mad woman and kept on teasing him, “gosh! Are you blushing?!!?!? HYOMG you look so cute~!” Hyoyeon was like a fangirl who saw her precious oppar.

“Stop it you choding! And I’m not. This shop has strong spotlights and it’s really warm here.” Kai pretended to keep cool and kept in his laughter.

“Psh, I know I’m attractive so you don’t have to keep denying!” Hyoyeon flipped her hair and got her shopping bag from the lady.

“You’re just a pabo so now hurry up and get your remaining gifts!” Kai dragged Hyoyeon out of the store. They are always dragging each other around, hyomg.

“YOU DON’T HAVE TO KEEP USING PABO!” Hyoyeon glared at Kai.

“Okay, okay. Now let’s go, Stupid.” Kai laughed and continued to drag Hyoyeon to the shop that she wants to go to.

Hyoyeon told Kai to wait for her at Starbucks while she go buy his gifts. Kai was  worried that Hyoyeon might lost her way since it’s quite crowded but Hyoyeon insisted that he sit there and wait for her. Kai couldn’t win the stubborn girl so he found himself seated at a table in Starbucks.

The blonde girl was walking around hoping that there’s a certain shop in that shopping mall. She took the lift and went up to the 4^th floor. And there was the shop, located just opposite the lift area. Hyoyeon ran in like a little girl. She walked to the lady for some help.

“I want to make a small teddy bear which can put a recorded audio in the stomach. You do have it, right?” Hyoyeon asked politely and was really excited on making one for Kai.

“We do. Give me a minute while I go get the materials.” The lady excused herself in to the storeroom to get the things needed. Hyoyeon waited patiently for the lady to come back.

“Here, just stuff the cottons into the bear and sew it up. Do you have any words that you would like to sew onto the bear?” The lady told her what to do.

“Hm, I do. Can you help me sew these words up? I’m sorry, I don’t know how sewing. I’m wondering if you can help me do it?” Hyoyeon smiled shyly and was a little embarrassed.

“Sure. You can stuff the cottons in first and then go to the back to record the audio.” Hyoyeon nodded and went ahead to stuff the cottons into the bear.

After 30 minutes, everything was done, including the recording part. Hyoyeon recorded a short note for Kai and couldn’t help but laugh whenever she thought of what she recorded. The lady is now helping Hyoyeon to sew up the hole and then the words that Hyoyeon wanted them to be on the bear.

Those words are the ones that Hyoyeon wanted it to be on the bear. The lady cut the extra thread away and the cute little teddy bear stuffed toy was done. The blonde girl paid for the bear and requested to wrap the bear up. After everything was done, Hyoyeon looked at the time and shocked that it took her almost an hour to make that bear.

She hurried up and ran back to Starbucks to find Kai. She was wondering what Kai was doing for that hour and thought that maybe he has his ways of entertaining himself.

When Hyoyeon spotted Kai in the Starbucks, she found him resting his chin on his palm and elbows on the table, and fell asleep. The petite girl sat quietly in front of him and poked his forehead. She laughed when he saw how tired was he that he didn’t even notice someone poked him

“Kai...” Hyoyeon called him softly.

“Hm...” Kai slowly opened his eyes and rubbed them softly.

“Oh! You’re back!” Kai looked at his watch, “it has been an hour! Did you lose your way? Aish, you should have called me! I can go pick you up. Did you hurt yourself?” Kai took Hyoyeon’s arms and looked at them carefully to see if she have any injuries.

“Woah, chill. I didn’t lose my way! I was busy looking for your gift.” Hyoyeon lied and can’t help but feel proud of the bear she made.

“Okay, let’s go back.” Kai took all the shopping bags in both of his hands and insisted on carrying them for the princess. Hyoyeon just nodded and helped him take his drink.

The both of them finally reached their dorm and gave out the gifts to Hyoyeon’s friends. Taeyeon was used to Hyoyeon buying gifts for her every once in a while so she wasn’t shocked. Sunny was shocked since they didn’t know each other for so long but still got a gift. In return, Sunny did a MMCF aegyo which caused Taeyeon to punch her.

When she gave the gift to the black pearl, she was shocked that Hyoyeon got her a black teddy bear. Nevertheless, she still liked it. Tao received his Gucci bag from Hyoyeon and he was whining about how good Hyoyeon was, not like Yuri whom didn’t want to buy a Gucci product for him no matter how he persuade her. Yuri was jealous so she told Hyoyeon not to buy any Gucci products for him anymore.

“Kai, this is for you!” Hyoyeon handed Kai the bag. The boy opened it and saw the cute teddy bear and the words on it. He couldn’t help but blush when he saw “Pabo’s Kai”.

“T—Thanks! And you lied to me! You said you were busy looking for a gift but you actually went to make this right?” Kai looked at Hyoyeon. He was really thankful for this sweet girl. She could really make one smile no matter how bad one’s day is.

“Hehe. It’s a surprise! Now will you go bathe?! You’re so smelly!” Hyoyeon pinched her nose and pushed Kai into the toilet.

Hyoyeon went to unpack her bag when she suddenly found her ring that she always wears was gone. It was a ring that her mom gave it to her for her 18^th birthday. Kris also had one for his 18^th birthday. Hyoyeon panicked and search for the whole place. She almost flipped the whole room over but she just couldn’t find it.

“Gosh, that ring is so precious to me, if I lost it, umma will be so disappointed..” Hyoyeon talked to herself and tears rolled down her cheeks.

After searching for 10 minutes and still couldn’t find it, Hyoyeon sat at the corner of the room and hugged her knees and start to cry. Although her mom always told her not to give up easily but she always does when she’s having troubles.

Kai came out from the toilet and saw Hyoyeon crying at the corner of the room. He could feel his heart broken and rushed to Hyoyeon. Kai couldn’t think of anything but just wanted to protect Hyoyeon. For some reasons he hate seeing Hyoyeon being sad. He really hate it.

“Hyo?! What happened? C’mon tell me, don’t scare me!” Kai shook Hyoyeon gently and made her look at him. Hyoyeon looked like a lost puppy.

“I..L—lost the r—ring from my mom and I—I couldn’t find it anywhere h—here....” Hyoyeon continue to sob and Kai let her into his embrace.

“How does it look like? I promise I will find that ring back.” Kai looked at Hyoyeon and wiped her tears using his thumb.

“I—it has a small diamond embedded on it a—and inside the ring there’s a small ‘H’ crafted on it.” Hyoyeon was still sobbing but much lesser when she heard Kai said he will find it back for her.

“Stay here and I promise I’ll come back with the ring. Okay?” Kai reassured Hyoyeon one more time and gave her a forehead kiss before heading out.

Why do I felt like my heart broke when I see her cry..? Do I really..like her?

Aish now’s not the time to think about this, I need to find the ring back so she’ll be happy again.

Wait for me, Paboyeon.

After searching for almost the whole dorm building, he still couldn’t find the ring and decided to walk out of the dorm building and walk along the pavement that they walked along earlier while coming back.

Kai was looking down while walking and found something that was shining brightly and when he looked into the drain, there was a ring down there. Kai went down the big drain to pick up the ring. While going down, due to the small space in between the drain, he got a cut on his palm and winced at the pain.

“Damn it. Ugh.” Kai cursed and carefully picked up the quite beautiful ring.

He went back up to the pavement and his jeans and shoes were wet and dirty because there was water in the drain. Kai recalled the characteristics of the ring that Hyoyeon described to him. There was a small diamond on it, and on the inside, there was a small ‘H’.

“YES!” Kai punched his fist into the air and kept the ring safely in his pocket. Now it’s time to go back and take a look at his pabo.

When Kai opened the door to the dorm, he saw Hyoyeon still sobbing and she was murmuring something.

“Umma will be really angry with me... Look what you’ve done Kim Hyo...” Hyoyeon talked while crying and Kai was glad that he found the ring. He never thought Hyoyeon was so weak. Kai felt that he needs to take good care of Hyoyeon and protect her more.

“Hey, don’t cry. I found your ring.” Kai tapped on Hyoyeon’s shoulder and took out the ring from his pocket.

Hyoyeon immediately looked up and took the ring over, “thank you so much, Kai! I really don’t know what to do if you’re not with me.” Hyoyeon jumped onto Kai and hugged him tightly. Kai could feel his face is burning up, but he still hugged Hyoyeon back.

The pain came back and Kai got reminded that his palm was scratched just now, “ah!” Kai let go of Hyoyeon and looked at his palm with dried blood around his wound.

“Did you injure yourself when you were finding the ring?” Hyoyeon asked and looked at Kai.

“N—no, I was just careless.” Kai pulled his palm but Hyoyeon took his palm and looked at it again.

“Hold on, I’ll get the first aid kit.” Hyoyeon slid the ring into her left ring finger safely and went to get the first aid kit.

When she was going to the kitchen, the door bell rang and Hyoyeon went to open the door first. When she opened the door, it revealed Kris and her mom. Hyoyeon was shocked that the both of them decided to give her a surprise visit.

Kris was shocked as well, he saw Hyoyeon’s puffy eyes and figured out she cried for quite some time. Kris was always the impulsive type and tends to not think and just act. He pushed Hyoyeon away gently and searched for Kai in the room. When he found Kai, Kris punched him and his nose is bleeding.

“OPPA!” Hyoyeon shouted but Kris kept on punching Kai as he thought Kai bullied Hyoyeon and made her cry.

“WHAT DID I SAID ABOUT NOT TAKING ADVANTAGES OF MY SISTER?!” Kris was still punching Kai.

Even her mom couldn’t stop Kris. He was too over-protective towards Hyoyeon that he can’t stand boys making Hyoyeon sad. Hyoyeon knew she couldn’t stand there and do nothing anymore. She went towards Kai and laid on Kai to prevent Kris from hitting him. Instead of Kai meeting with Kris’ fist, Hyoyeon’s back was the one to meet his fist.

That punch that Kris wanted to give Kai was a pretty hard one but his fist landed on Hyoyeon’s back instead. The three of them were really shocked that Hyoyeon did that. Her mom quickly went to her and pull her up but Hyoyeon flung off her mom’s hand, not caring whether who was it. And cupped Kai’s cheeks.

“Are you okay? I’m so sorry..” Hyoyeon began to cry again, ignoring the pain on her back. She only had Kai in her eyes at that time.

“I’m fine, don’t worry.” Kai smiled weakly at Hyoyeon.

“I’ll go clean my face first.” Kai caressed Hyoyeon’s cheeks and went to the toilet, leaving Hyoyeon and her brother and mom to talk.

“KRIS KIM! GET YOUR HERE!” Hyoyeon shouted and glared at Kris, ready to scold him for hitting Kai without knowing the reason.

Kris who noticed that he did something wrong rubbed the back of his neck and showed his most charming smile ever, “hehe, Hyobaby~ Oppa is just worried about you...” Kris giggled but Hyoyeon didn’t shift her glare.

“SIT DOWN!” Hyoyeon pointed at the single couch while she told her mom politely to sit on her bed first.

Once Kris was seated down, Hyoyeon jumped onto him, “YAH YOU!!!! HOW COULD YOU HIT SOMEONE WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING THE REASON?!?!!?!?” She starts to tickle Kris.

“A—ahahaha—ahahaha O—OMG! S—STOP!!! H—HYO B—BABY!” Kris kept on laughing and he flipped Hyoyeon over.

The tickle battle turns into a wrestling battle.

Kai who was standing by his bed side looking at how the both of them plays and automatically a smile crept on his face when he saw how Hyoyeon plays like a little kid. He can’t help but stare at her.
