“Yah! Lae! Are you going to stay here all day doing nothing? You haven’t eaten anything since you came home! There are still other around, what about Zico?” said Cha-gi

“But I only want Him!” Lae was lying on her bed the whole day without eating. She doesn’t want to do anything. She just wanted to lie there and sulk for her first broken heart. “Those guys can’t get the same love I was giving to him!”

“But the problem is, he’s soon to be married! Wake up to the reality Lae! That guy was never meant for you, you should forget about him!” Cha-gi said

“YAH! You never told me that Sandeul was Jinyoung’s friend! It was your fault we never met before he got engaged! I hate you Cha-gi, I thought you were my friend.” Lae said

“Mowyo? Jinyoung? Jinyoung was the guy you fell in love with? You never told me his name. I didn’t know too that Jinyoung was the owner of that house. All I knew was he is Sandeul’s bandmate.” Cha-gi explained

Lae took a deep breath, she was hyperventilating “So the saying was true after all, ‘be careful with what you wish for’, I’ve been wishing for true love to come to my way. The only problem is that I wasn’t ready to get hurt.”

“Lae... Don’t worry, just learn to accept whatever comes your way and then learn to let go when it’s time to go. Haven’t you said that yourself? You’ll enjoy the feeling until it’s time to say goodbye?” Cha-gi said as she brushed her hair

“Ne” Lae nodded then Cha-gi went out of the room. But Cha-gi came back but immediately “Lae--”

“I’ll eat later, don’t worry.” then Cha-gi left her in silence as she continued crying

“Lae.”

“Mowyo!?”

“You.. uhm.. you have a visitor.”

“Can you tell them I’m not in the mood to talk? Tell them to come back next time. I don’t want to talk to anyone today.”

“But...” Cha-gi said

“Not even to your employer?” Lae raised her head when she heard the familiar voice of a man. When she turned around, she saw Jinyoung standing absolutely gorgeous at her door. Just like before her heart raced.

“What are you doing here?” Lae gave Cha-gi a piercing look “Who told you to let him in?”

“He said he wanted to talk to you” Cha-gi answered, “i told you I’m not in the mood to talk to anyone, didn’t I?” Lae was talking to Cha-gi

“I just want to check if you’re ok.” Jinyoung said

“Annyeog! Jinyoung I’ll leave you two now.” Cha-gi said to Jinyoung

That Cha-gi she really knew Jinyoung , and never told me she had a friend as handsome as him! “Cha-gi-ah!” but Cha-gi left her in her room with Jinyoung.  Lae took a bow of tissue paper. Her eyes were red from crying. “As you can see, I’m not okay. You can leave now.”

“Have you seen a doctor” Jinyoung said sounding concerned

“No need for that. I just need a little rest” Lae blew her nose and surreptitiously looked at him. “How did you know where I live?”

“You told me.” Jinyoung looked around her room “You still have my coat?” Lae looked at his suit that was displayed on the wall, near it were that flowers that he gave her. “And the flowers and my picture.”

Why are you so observant mybaby Jinyoung? Aish! If I know you like seeing your thing in my room. “I’m going to give that back,  in time.”

“You can have that coat. Anyway, didn’t you know when you first came to the mansion I thought I’ve seen you somewhere before” Jinyoung said.

Lae’s mouth turned open when she heard what he just said “Does that mean you recognized me?”

“Not really. I still had my doubts. I just remembered everything when I saw you wearing my coat while you were playing in my room. You were that woman from the convenience store.” Jinyoung continued.

“You knew? Then why didn’t you tell me” she asked, “I had my reasons. Just like what you did when you applied to be a maid in my house.” Said Jinyoung

“I told you I was bored” Lae said,

 “I’m not a fool Lae.”

“What does that mean?”

“What do you think ” Jinyoung answered her with a question

Does he already know that I love him? So what? He’s going to marry soon, I don’t care what he thinks about me now.

Jinyoung held her picture when she received the “supervisor of the year” award during his third year of working “You ‘re working anymore?” He asked

“I got tired of the corporate world, I thought of finding another job. I want to have a rest.” Lae explained, “I see” he just replied

I’m busy getting sick here, as you can see” Lae said, then Jinyoung finally got the courage to look at her, but she’s now the one who can’t look at him. She was afraid because if she’d see the look in his eyes, she knew he’ll see her true feelings for him at that very moment

“After you get better, would you still work at the mansion” Jinyoung asked Lae

She straightened her posture, Is my baby Jinyoung asking me to go back? “Why did you ask?”

Jinyoung shrugged “It just felt different without you running around the house and messing up my days.”

Darn! My baby Jinyoung you’re so sweet! Lae can’t still deny the fact that she was very happy knowing that he missed her. “even if you knew I was not a real maid?”

Then he took a calling card from the pocket of his suit. “Call me when you need a job, I’m in need of extra hands in my company.  And don’t worry about your work there. My secretary will help you”

“Andwe.” Lae gave him his calling card back “I told you I’m tired of working at a corporate company”

“I’m saying it you’re in need of work.” Jinyoung said “I don’t need a job” Lae finally had the courage to look at him in the eyes.. his lovely eyes “I still have a job.”

Jinyoung’s face broke into a wide smile “It’s good to have you back, Lae.” Lae just nodded.“ see you at the mansion” Jinyoung said
