When Lae-mon reached the gate, the guards tried to stop her, “Mianhae, Lae, Sir Jinyoung strictly told us not to let you leave the mansion.” They said

“I just quitted my job. I hate this place, I hate it here! Let me out, or I’ll file illegal detention case against you!” Lae-mon said. It was obvious that the guards were shocked by her rage, but the guards still didn’t allow her to leave. Lae-mon was ready to start a fight when she heard Jinyoung’s voice. He followed her. Lae-mon wiped her tears, but didn’t turn tolook at him

“Where are you going?” Jinyoung said

“I don’t want to tell you. I’m resigning, I don’t want to be treated like a servant of yours anymore.” Lae-mon replied

“I’m just asking” he said in a low tone, “Then I don’t wanna answer.” She said

“Lae.”

“Lae-mon.”She corrected Jinyoung “only those that are my friends are allowed to call me ‘Lae’.”

Jinyoung took a deep breath. “I didn’t mean to raise my voice on you. It was just an initial reaction. I was worried when I saw you outside my window.”

Lae-mon liked what she just heard. Jinyoung was worried about her. Omo! My baby Jinyoung knows how to worry too. She wanted to jump to him and hug him, but she can’t. She pretended to be angry, she turned to look at Jinyoung. Lae-mon can’t find any trace of anger in his pretty face, rather she saw his sincere expression. He was so sute looking like a wounded puppy her anger melted... as well as her heart.

“Mianhae.” Jinyoung handed her his handkerchief “Please stay.”

You cute thing! I’ll forgive you because you’re so cute. “You should say sorry to your employees not to me” Lae-mon said

“I already did. Are you still going to leave?” Jinyoung asked

“What are you going to do if I decided to leave?” Lae-mon said, trying to pretend she was still angry. Jinyoung was not able to answer, which made her smile. Lae-mon saw Jinyoung’s eyes spark, he might have guessed that she already forgave him. “Are you going to stop me if I leave?” Lae-mon continued

“Ne.” Jinyoung said. Then he turned his back on her and started to walk back to the mansion. Lae wanted to jump in delight until she heard what he said next “Just to remind you to get your salary from Yaya Sarang before you leave.”

“!” Lae-mon said. I still love you even if you act like a jerk sometimes. She wasn’t able to complain. It was enough that he had asked her to stay. Lae followed Jinyoung back to the mansion. “Sorry too Jinyoung, I forgot that I’m only a maid in you house.”

“You sounded like you’re not one of them” He just replied

“Uhm...”

“Go back to your work” Jinyoung commanded

“Yes, sir!” Lae walked passed Jinyoung, she was steps away from him when she turned her head to look back at him. She wanted to remember his handsome face. Ah! There it was. The face of the man she had fought with, made up with and fallen in love with. “Jinyoung-ah!” Lae was walking backwards

“Lae.”

Lae smiled. Then she ran inside the house. She had never felt this good before in her whole life. She can’t believe that a man can make her feel that way.

Later that day:

“Your juice, Sir” Lae-mon placed Jinyoung’s drink on top of his side table. She volunteered on bringing the drink to Jinyoung when she heard Yaya Sarang that Jinyoung asked for a juice. After what had happened in the house that morning, everyone in the mansion had a good mood.

Jinyoung didn’t even bother putting down his newspaper “are you still angry for what had happend?”

“Sir?”

“Because I noticed that you haven’t been talking to your other co-maids in the house” Jinyoung said as he flipped the pages of his news paper

I was busy dreaming about future, my baby Jinyoung. “I’m not in the mood to talk to anybody today, Sir” Lae-mon answered

“Was it because of what had happened this morning?”

“It’s not about that, Sir.”

“Then, why do you still have that frown on your face?”

“How did you know I was frowning?” Lae-mon said

Then Jinyoung removed his newspaper that was blocking him to see her face clearly “Look, I have eyes! I can see.”

Aish! You silly. Full of alibis why not admit it my baby, you were staring at me, didn’t you? Lae-mon made herself look more uncomfortable and lonely, “It’s nothing, Sir. I just can’t forget what had happened this morning. No man has ever made me cry before. You were the first.”

“No one is allowed to frown, I’m the only one who’s allowed to frown in my house” Jinyoung said. Then turned his attention back to what he was reading. “Get me some flowers”

“Flowers?” Lae asked to make sure she heard him right.

“Yes! Flowers!”

“I know what flowers are. But what am I going to do with those” Lae asked again.

“None of your business.” Was Jinyoung’s reply
