“Oppa, why are you being like this?!” IU reprimanded sharply.

It was about two weeks after the couple’s run-in with Jaehwa and Hyuna.  IU was beginning to realize Yoseob’s change in behavior towards her.  He wasn’t being a bad boyfriend, but she could tell that his feelings for her were slowly slipping away.  And that’s what irritated her to the core.

“Yah!” she shouted when Yoseob did not respond.  “Are you even listening to me?!”

Yoseob had been zoning out more often, completely immersed in his thoughts.  He usually did not answer his girlfriend because he was not paying attention to what she was saying.  Her voice was just a hum in the back of his mind.

IU scoffed.  “Fine, if you don’t want to talk about this, then don’t!” she cried out in frustration before turning on her heel and storming away.

Yoseob only broke out of his daydream when the door slammed.  I did it again, didn’t I? he thought to himself.  He sighed, running a hand through his hair.  I just don’t know anymore…

Jaehwa hesitated as her finger hovered above the CALL button.  Her father’s work number was displayed on the screen of her phone, but she just couldn’t bring herself to actually call.

“Aish, nevermind,” she mumbled, locking the screen and putting the phone aside.

She stretched and climbed out of bed, slowly dragging herself to the bathroom to freshen up.  Her manager had informed her the night before that she had the morning off.  Jaehwa took advantage of this and slept in for the first time in months.

An hour later, Jaehwa stepped through Cube’s main doors.  She yawned and rubbed her eyes, not paying attention.

“Oof,” she gasped as she walked straight into someone else.  “Mianhae.”

“Jaehwa?” a familiar voice asked.

Jaehwa’s eyes shot open.  She quickly looked up into Dujun’s amused eyes.  “Sleepy?” he asked with a grin on his face.

 “A bit,” she answered sheepishly.

Dujun laughed.  “You’re such a sleepyhead,” he teased, poking her forehead.  “By the way, your manager is looking for you.”

“Aish, I forgot to call him and tell him I was on my way.  I’d better find him.”

“I last talked with him near our practice room.  He’s probably nearby there.”

“Thanks, oppa,” Jaehwa said before waving and hurrying away.

Yoseob silently watched the exchange between the leader and Jaehwa.  He felt a pang in his chest when he saw the way Jaehwa smiled at Dujun.  Why does she always look so happy around him? he thought bitterly.

The main vocal clenched his teeth in anger as he saw Dujun poke her in the forehead playfully.  Do they like each other or something?

The moment Jaehwa left, Yoseob moved out from behind the wall.

Dujun saw him and raised his hand in greeting.  “Seobie!  You’re back already?”

Yosoeb stayed silent.  He tilted his head slightly and studied the leader through narrowed eyes.  Dujun raised an eyebrow.  “Yoseob, what’s wrong?”

Realizing what he was doing, Yoseob shook his head and walked past Dujun.  Aish, why should it bother me if they’re dating?  Jaehwa’s just my friend.

Dujun scratched the back of his neck in confusion.  “Huh,” he muttered.  “Okay then…”
