“What do you prefer? Tuna sandwich or Egg sandwich or Plain mayo?” Chanyeol grinned happily at Yejin who was eyeing him weirdly for a while now.

Yejin finally lifted her gaze on him and sighed. “Chanyeol---“

“It’s tuna right? Wait here. I’ll just buy you some.” he cut her off as he dashed towards the counter. Yejin just stood there, watching him argue with the students in the line telling him to fall in line properly since he just cut in the line. Chanyeol didn’t seem to mind them. Yejin’ s tuna sandwich comes first above all.

“Here. Tuna sandwich for my Yejinnie.” he peeled off the wrapper and placed the sandwich in front of her. His big smile, never leaving his mouth.

Yejin took it hesitantly and took a small bite. She was hungry anyways so why not eat this tasty tuna sandwich right?

Yejin choked on her sandwich as she heard the word ‘kiss’ Her cheeks burned as she pounded on her chest.

“Water. Drink water.” Chanyeol hurriedly gave her the water bottle while patting her back comfortingly. “Are you alright?”

“Why do you randomly talk about things like that?!” she exclaimed at him as she wiped the excess water from the corners of .

Chanyeol noticed how her cheeks reddened and he smiled. “Are you blushing? You’re blushing right now aren’t you?” Yejinnie you’re blushing!” he exclaimed rather way too loud.

Yejin sighed as she placed her palm on her forehead. Why is this giant so loud?

“I’m definitely not blushing.!” Yejin exclaimed at him.

Chanyeol pinched her left cheek. “Stop acting cute. It makes me want to kiss you.”

Yejin stared at him. Did he just say that?

“I wanted to clarify some things about us.” He started. And Chanyeol sounded serious. “From now on, let’s go to school together, eat lunch together, go home together and spend the rest of our time together. Okay?”

Her brows furrowed as she turned to him. “Why?”

“Because I love you.”

When he’s being so straight-forward like this, how would she even react?

“Why are you telling me these?” she blurted out not knowing what to say anymore.

“It’s because I love you. You should be happy that I can actually tell you my true feelings. Some guys there couldn’t even do it, you know.” Chanyeol mumbled proudly as he grinned at her. “I’m cool right? Are you falling for me now?” he asked her.

“We’re best friends! Why would I—“

Chanyeol placed his finger on her lips to stop her from talking. “I was also like that before. Denying reality and all. But look at me now. Things are different now Yejinnie. Because right now, I don’t just want you to be my best friend. I want you to be my girlfriend.” Chanyeol grinned happily at her.

“You like me that much?” Yejin asked him curiously.

Chanyeol nodded with a bright smile. “Of course! I think---“

“What about Lee Yoobi? Do you like her?”she couldn’t help but ask him.

Chanyeol weirdly stared at her as she talked. “Well, isn’t she pretty? And she sings well. And Yoobi is.. uh very popular right? And you watched the movie with her.. “ Yejin tried to explain.

“Are you jealous of her?” Chanyeol smirked evilly at her.

“I’M NOT!”

Chanyeol slightly nodded as he rubbed his chin. “Well I think Yoobi is pretty.” he mumbled as he waited for her reaction.

“Look at that! Earlier you told me you love me and now you’re telling me that Yoobi is pretty? Aish. Seriously!” Yejin exclaimed in fury as she glared at him.

Chanyeol couldn’t help but laugh. Yejin’s definitely jealous. And the fact that she denies it makes her irresistibly cute.

“And now you’re laughing! Are you playing with me now? So everything you said to me, is it a joke?”

Chanyeol grabbed her hand and linked his fingers with hers. “It wasn’t a joke. What I said was definitely true!”

Yejin finally became calm. “Really?”

“And about Yoobi, yes, she’s pretty.” he mumbled. Yejin gave him a look. “But you’re beautiful.” Yejin turned to him. Chanyeol looked serious. His eyes showed how sincere he was when he said those words.

“Whatever.” she mumbled quietly as she looked away trying to hide her blushing cheeks.
