"Sir?" The man in the yellow jacket asks his supervisor.

"What?" 

"I think I found them." He points to the couple huddling on the side of the rock. The sunlight had revealed the upper half of their bodies. They were clearly asleep and they saw Aiden with bloody clothing.

"... Come here." The supervisor beckons the guy to him. He comes close and the supervisor gives a calm smile before slapping his helmet. "GO HELP THEM WHILE I RADIO FOR BACKUP!"

"Yes sir!" The man slips backwards and begins to run to Aiden and Jessica. "Coming sweet dear couple!"

"So let me get this straight... You snuck out of the cabin in the middle of the night and looked for him by yourself?" Jessica's dad summarized. 

The two were shoulder to shoulder wrapped in a large blanket while holding a mug of hot chocolate. They were tired and had drowsy eyes while Jessica's father was questioning them. The two had their hands held under the blanket with a grin. Aiden was currently mediated with painkillers with a medical wrap around his arm.

"Yes." Jessica responded. "Is there something wrong with that? I found him."

"So did the rescuers this morning..." Her father was scowling at her. "Do you know how much danger you put yourse-"

"Dad, he told me this whole lecture yesterday." Jessica paused. "Actually it was this morning."

"Did you now?" Her dad turns to Aiden. His turn. "So what did you call my daughter? Did you call her stupid? A brainless chicken?"

"Yes... Yes I did." Aiden nodded in agreement while grinning. 

"So my daughter's a brainless chicken?"

"No, I didn't mean it like that."

"What did you mean then?"

He tilted his head while in thought. Her father was glaring at him the entire time. Aiden's lips curved upward as the drugs were taking a large effect on his mood.

"Honey stop it." Her mother chimed in. "Look at them, they're tired. Let them sleep."

"Not together. You get out." Her father points to Aiden. "I don't want them warming each other up."

"But he's freezing." Jessica protested, latching onto him. She gave her father a pouting expression, clearly saying she wasn't leaving him. "What if he trips and falls into a coma because he's too weak."

"..." Aiden glanced at her father. "I think she needs some medical attention. Too."

"I think so too." He agreed with a small grimace.

"I think it's called being love sick~" Her mother laughed. "Leave them be honey, let's go."

He huffed and glared at Aiden. "No funny things okay? You may have been rescued from the cold, but I still haven't accepted you yet."

"Yet, daddy?" Jessica smirked. A good slip of the tongue.

Her dad pursed his lips before nodding. "Yet sounds like the correct word."

"Bye." Jessica waves goodbye as her mom pushes her father out of the room.

Jessica gives Aiden a grin. "See? He's warming up to you."

Aiden gives a faint smile. "Great. Now we are one step closer to getting married." He meekly waves his arms around in a small dance. "Fun fun fun."

"Aish." Jessica shoves her hand to push his head back. "Go to sleep."

"I feel fine." He gives her a beaming smile. "Look at my arm. It's in a cast!"

"Should I be suspecting the drugs making you loopy, or is this one of your weird fads." She asked him with raised brows. "I'm going to guess it's the drugs."

"It probably is, my body feels super light. And I don't know how I got here."

"All you need to know is that you're safe and sound with me."

"..."

Jessica frowned at the lack of response from Aiden. She looked back at him with concerned eyes. She found Aiden snoring calmly. "Good night."
