Chapter 34
The SM heiress
To Jongin’s surprise, Mrs Kim smiled.
“Omma’s not mad. Instead I’m happy, elated even, that my son has finally fell in love with someone” Mrs Kim took Yena’s hand. Jongin tightened his grip around Yena.
Mrs Kim laughed. “I won’t hurt her, Jongin-ah”
Jongin nodded and released his grip around Yena.
Mrs Kim gave Yena a glance over and grinned.
“Aigoo! You have chosen well. I love this girl!” Mrs squealed as she pinched Jongin’s cheeks, making him scowl.
“Oppa-ah—why, how…“Sunhwa’s eyes glistened with tears.
“Sunhwa-ah…” Mrs Kim started.
“I thought you wanted me to marry Jongin? I always thought that emeonim is always standing by my side?” A single tear trickled down Sunhwa’s cheek. She bit her lips before storming off.
Mrs Kim’s eyes widen in surprise as Jongin simply glanced at the retreating figure of Sunhwa uncaringly.
“Take care of my son” Mrs Kim whispered tenderly into Yena’s ear before walking off.
Jongin was scribbling his signatures on the stacks of paper and contracts. He shook his arms tiredly and sighed.
“Giving autographs are much easier…”
He looked up when he heard the door of his bedroom opened.
“Why are you here? Aren’t…”
“Jong-ah, that Sunhwa girl is downstairs.”
Jongin raised his brows before placing down his pen.
Apparently, EXO decided to crash at Jongin’s mansion, but their plans were ruined by the appearance of Sunhwa, who was standing in the middle of the huge living room.
“Why are you here, Sunhwa-ssi” Jongin asked coldly. His eyes twitched as Sunhwa approached him.
“Do you remember this?” Sunhwa pushed an old school yearbook into Jongin’s chest.
EXO were standing in the side-lines, watching in amusement as the melodrama unfolded before their very eyes.
Jongin flipped the yellowing pages of the yearbook and stopped at a specific page.
