Chapter 9
The SM heiress
“And a one…two…three……” Kai said the beats as he twirled me around in circles.
Baekhyun and E-jin had already gone home, leaving me alone in THIS room, WITH THIS JEJU STONE GRANDPA! Those meanies…wait till I get my hands on them and I will personally season with salt and pepper and roast them over a fire. WALA!
“Two…two…three and four……” Kai and I had practiced and repeated the dance steps for the past 2 hours since the two meanies stepped out of the room. Even though we two were the best among the four, but being perfectionists, here we are…inside the practice room, dancing and sweating like two hippos. *What a description, hippos don’t dance. Silly me, must have hit my head somewhere.*
“Twirl…one two and jump” Kai instructed, popping the ‘p’ sound as he lifted me off the ground with his hands grabbing my waist.
If people saw us dancing like this, they most probably would either think that we were great dancers or crazy lunatics that could dance continuously for the past hours without taking a break.
“Jump kick two…three…arms...remember to” Kai’s voice was cut off when everything became dark. Like black.
What happen?! Uh oh…don’t tell me this is a blackout…
“Kai…” I called out as I could fell beads of perspirations forming on my forehead and my heart was beating unevenly.
I was scared. No. Petrified. Since young, I always had a phobia of the dark.
“Ka..ai…where are you?” I called out again as my legs buckled and I crouched down. I was shivering like a cat.
“Yena? Are you ok?” I heard Kai’s voice in the dark surroundings. Although I’m afraid, but hearing Kai’s voice managed to calm me down a little. Still afraid but not as bad.
“I’m sca..aredd…” I shuddered as I hugged myself.
“Gwenchana?” Kai asked.
I reached out my hands and started groping my surroundings like I had lost my sight.
“Can’t see…”
“Hm…I noticed” Kai said.
“KAI!” If it’s not dark, Kai would have noticed a small blush creeping up my cheeks.
"You always state the obvious"
And I shut myself up.
I stretched out my hand and felt something soft and started tugging it like a curious toddler.
“Is my ear that nice to pull? I don’t think I can maintain my position as visual with an elongated ear you know?”
