Chapter 9
Lost SoulOnce I got inside, I packed up a few necessities and dialed Jisu’s number and explained the whole situation to her. After I packed all that I would need for right now, I put everything else on the bed. The laptop, the phone, extra clothes and stripped the sheets and blanket off as well. Downstairs, I placed the house key on the table and went through the back door, cutting through to get to Jisu’s house.
Jisu opened the door and gave me a big hug as she led me to her room. Then she smacked the back of my head. “That’s for being rude and not listening! I said to not dig a deeper hole!”
I sat on her bed and shook my head, “I was angry. They’re the ones who took it and spread it to the whole agency.”
Jisu sighed before sitting beside me, “I agree, it was taken too far there. But honestly, they were all probably just hurt and angry too. I don’t believe any of them meant it, especially Teuk.” When I didn’t say anything, Jisu grabbed my hand and stood up, “Let’s go get something to eat.”
Jisu took me out to our favorite spot and, for the most part, took my mind off of the guys. About an hour after the sun had set, Jisu got a call from her mother.
“Jisu-ah! Have you talked with Sunmi??” Since she had put it on speaker, she sounded urgent.
I quickly shook my head before Jisu could reply, “I haven’t, what’s going on?”
“Leeteuk is here and is worried sick. He said she went home without the rest of them and she’s gone, she left anything they could contact her with.”
I rolled my eyes. More like they told me to leave. And now all of a sudden, they care.
“I’ll keep an eye out for her but I’ll be coming home soon. Did they try Minji?”
“Some of the boys are going there now, and some have gone to that place you two like. I want you home now.”
“I’m at Uso’s now and it’s only me and another couple.” Jisu said quickly looking around. I pulled some cash out and went to the register to pay for the food and went back to Jisu whose eyes had widened. It could only mean one thing, the guys were here. “But yes, I’ll be coming home now.”
As they went to the counter, Jisu and I snuck past them and started running as soon as we reached outside.
“And you didn’t think they would come looking for you!” Jisu accused. I didn’t say anything
