Chapter 6
Lost Soul“Great way to ease the tension.” Minji commented as we all got into the waiting car.
“Your brothers will kill me when they get me alone.” Taemin whined and I rolled my eyes.
“No they- Okay, maybe they will. But they know we’re just friends.”
“You guys are pretty close.” Minji pointed out.
“It’s nothing,” I assured Taemin, “I’ll talk to them.”
“Well now I need to talk to you. This dinner thing, Minji and I will be eating at the same place, to keep an eye on you.”
“You’ll be what?”
“You heard me. I don’t need any trouble and I want us to be at least a foot away if you need one of us.”
I nodded instead of arguing, Taemin was already doing me a favor by doing this for me. A huge one.
I sighed, “Stop the car.”
“What?”
“I don’t want to go on the date anymore. Let’s all just go somewhere else.”
“Why not?!” Minji screeched from the backseat.
“I’m lying to my brothers. This is the same thing that happened before, I lied and I got hurt. I’ll just have to make them understand-“
“You know that won’t work.”
I turned and stared at her before facing the front again. She had a point. “Just, you guys, don’t bulge in, alright?”
“Fine.” Minji said from the back seat, “This will be exciting!” She bounced in the back seat and I rolled my eyes.
At the restaurant, I quickly got out of the car and walked ahead of my two friends. I didn’t need Dawook to see them. As soon as I entered, I saw Dawook and hurried over to him.
“Hey.” I said near out of breath. Dawook didn’t question it.
“Hey,” he smiled before he leaned down for a hug. “Glad you could make it.”
“I said I would.” I smiled.
“Hungry?”
“Starving.” I grabbed onto his arm as he followed our waiter to our table.

Taemin glanced down at his phone and his eyes widened. The caller ID read “Leeteuk Hyung”, so without hesitation he answered.
“Yoboseyo?”
“What is wrong with you kids?!” Leeteuk screamed into the phone, “Where’s Sunmi?”
“Uh, right beside me, everything alright hyung?”
“No, I’ve called her phone five times, give her the phone please.”
Taemin looked over at Sunmi who was in a deep conversation with the friend of hers. He groaned as he quickly made his way over and slipped the phone onto her lap.
Without missing a beat, Sunmi put it to her ear. “Teukkie oppa, hi.”
“Don’t you- you were supposed to text me the location and time of the movie. Did we not make that agreement?” Leeteuk practically screamed into the phone again. Sunmi winced and pulled it from her ear.
“Sorry, I wasn’t thinking, I was excited to see the movie.”
“I don’t mean to yell,” Leeteuk apologized with a sigh, “I just worry.”
