Chapter 13
Lost Soul
It’s been a month since I’ve talked to either one of them. We’ve gone through Sungmin’s wedding, Jonghyun’s debut (which Eunhyuk and Donghae helped with, thus tagging me along sometimes) and I have yet to say more than 3 words to either of them.
“Are you ready for school Sunmi?!” A shout came from downstairs. I quickly packed a few more notebooks in my bookbag before rushing down the stairs. The only good thing I could see coming this semester was Minji and Jisu were both in my classes this go round.
In class, the first one I spotted was Jisu who waved me over. Minji walked in not long after. As the time grew nearer for the class to start, both girls kept glancing at the door nervously.
“Hey! Do you know something about this professor I don’t?’ I joked with them before pulling my notebook from my bag as said professor walked in. There was a scuffling of feet and a thud behind me.
“We forgot to mention Dawook was in this class.” Jisu said to me while Minji gave him the same lame excuse. I shrugged her off and listened intently as the professor began.
Was I focused? Not in the slightest. I could kill both of my friends for this stunt they pulled. At the same time, I wanted to speak to Dawook, but I didn’t know what to say. The professor pulled me from my thoughts when he said something about getting a partner and introducing yourselves. Needless to say, Minji and Jisu paired up, leaving Dawook and I.
Silence. Dawook stared straight ahead and said nothing. I rolled my eyes and tapped my pencil as I waited for the 5 minutes to be up.
