Chapter 5
Lost SoulI stared at my phone in my room. I had been trying, for the last two hours, to successfully complete the homework assigned. But to no avail. Should I see Dawook? The answer of course would be no, thinking about my brothers and how they would freak out on me and him. They really wouldn’t like Dawook if I snuck around to see him. The door opened and in walked Taemin from Shinee, also a close friend of mine from SM outside of SuJu. He closed the door behind him.
“Hey kid.” He said plopping down on the bed in front of me.
“Hey.” I said giving him a smile. He sat up and held my face in his hands.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing Minnie-“
“SUNMI, OPEN THAT DOOR!”
I rolled my eyes and stood up as Taemin laughed at the shouting Kangin, probably downstairs or something. I opened the door and sat back down.
“Now tell me what’s wrong.” Taemin whispered and I quirked an eyebrow. “You don’t want them to hear us do you?”
“There’s a guy I met, and the guys, especially Hyukkie, don’t like him. So he made me promise to not see him again. But the guy confronted me today and he looked so hurt and I feel bad because he is nice. Not to mention this happened over a course of three days.”
Taemin raised an eyebrow, “You don’t even know the guy.”
“Which is what I keep telling myself, but I could get to know him.”
“How do you know he’s not like-“
“Riko? I don’t.” I looked down at my hands thinking of the guy that made my life a hell when I was 16. A major factor, minus them being overprotective, for the guys not wanting me to be with guys that they don’t know. “They’re not giving him a chance because of Riko though, which isn’t fair.”
“Well…. I would want to still get to know you if you’re brothers didn’t want you to, and I’m a nice guy. So in a way, I understand where he’s coming from.” Taemin sighed heavily, “I will back you up, only if you tell me if something doesn’t seem right to you and you let me know when you’ll be with him.”
“Deal.” I smiled putting my hand out to shake his.
Taemin smiled and pulled me into a hug, “Be careful alright?”
I nodded, “You have to teach me the dance to Everybody.” I said standing up, changing the conversation.
Taemin laughed, “Really? You think you’re ready for that?” He teased.
“Oh shut up.”
