Chapter 19
Lost SoulAt dinner, Dawook listened to my whole ordeal with Taemin and said nothing until the end, and that was just a sigh.
“Well?” I asked after a couple of seconds.
“I forgave you.” I went to say something and he held his hand up, “He’s a great friend.
“Yeah he is but he wasn’t when I needed him the most.”
“Look, you turned your back to not get in trouble, right? He turned his back because he thought you were literally up to no good. And what your brothers said you said, was true. He was probably disappointed in you more than anything. How did fans react when you first started coming around?”
I frowned as I thought about the first time, Leeteuk really took me out, after he realized I was homeless. There was an uproar, the fans didn’t care that I was way younger than him, they thought I just looked young but was really older and therefore Leeteuk’s girlfriend. “They didn’t like me and they lost a considerable amount of fans. “Go talk to Taemin.” He said with a faint smile and I nodded.
“Thanks for your help.” The food came out and we sat in silence as we ate. I was thinking about how I would contact Taemin and who knows what Dawook was thinking about.
“It’s getting late.” He mentioned, drawing me out of my thoughts and that’s when I realized it was 10:36. “We should get going.”
As we left the restaurant, Dawook grabbed my hand and I looked from him to our joined hands with a questioning look, which he ignored as he stared straight ahead.
“You know when we first met, my first intention wasn’t to only be friends. I found you really cute and I had a crush on you.” I stared at the ground. “That day we stayed after school together made me really happy and well, you could guess, that the next day when you said you wanted nothing to do with me, it really hurt. Because I thought we being friends would lead to b
