▲ Hatred

Not a long time had passed, lunch came. Grasped by both of her hands were each sides of the tray. For lunch, she decided to have orange juice, pesto and a banana for a complete meal.

Searching for a vacant table, her eyes landed on her friend, Yoonjo, who was seated by the middle of the cafeteria. Yoonjo waved her hand to catch Ara’s attention and was successful with it.

“Oh, they have bananas!” Yoonjo exclaimed upon seeing Ara’s tray.

“Yeah but it’s the last one.”

“Lucky.” The chubby-cheeked girl narrowed her eyes stabbing her meat forcefully before inserting it in to chew.

“If you want you can have it.” She placed the banana at Yoonjo’s tray making the latter exultant.

“Thanks.” She peeled the banana then bit it. “So how’s class?”

“Can’t wait to get out of it. That annoying seatmate of mine kept bugging me ever since this morning.” Ara’s nerves twitched as she ate her pasta.

“Who’s your seatmate anyway?”

Ara paused for a while to recall the guy’s name. “Chanyeol.” She spit out reluctantly before continuing on her meal.

“Chanyeol? You mean that tall guy with black hair and deep voice?”

She nodded in response without looking at her friend. Yoonjo’s eyes widened in amazement. “Dude!” She slapped Ara’s arm with the back of her hand. “You should go out with him. I heard he’s a nice guy.” She wiggled her eyebrows teasing her.

Ara almost spit her food out upon getting slapped and hearing her friend’s words. “Are you kidding me?”

“Pfft. Don’t be such a man hater.” She stuck her tongue out, frowning at Ara. “If you don’t go out with him, I will.”, she protested.
