 “Guess we’re stuck with each other,” Ara heard a voice said as she felt a heavy weight around her shoulders. She turned to its source and immediately frowned at the sight of its owner.

“Suho,” she said in her most indifferent tone.

Chanyeol’s eyes widened at the scene. Jealousy, absolute jealousy filled him right now. He could no longer watch the scene so his gaze left Ara’s and stared at the ground instead with complete devastation.

Somehow in those few seconds of eye contact between them, he was thinking that he’d be paired with her. Anticipation was replaced with anxiety as soon as the names were called. It was supposed to be his gateway back to their closeness. However, destiny played its role in destroying his plans, adding a little spice on his adventure challenge. True to life, you couldn’t get what you want easily.

“Ara, why the long face?” He placed his hands on each side of her lips and pinched them to a smile. “Smile. You look best when you smile. I missed seeing that.”

Ara slapped his hands away. “Don’t ever touch me.”

He sighed. “Look, I’m really sorry-”

He stopped when Ara walked away leaving him. Based from her actions, she obviously didn’t want to talk to him. But whatever she does she can never change reality, and that reality was Suho’s her partner.

She went inside their room. Yoonjo was already inside unpacking her things and arranging them in the closet. The moment she saw Ara walked in, she stopped and approached her friend. With a gloomy face on, Yoonjo knew what was wrong with Ara.

“Ara, how are you doing?”

“I’m fine.”

“Your partner…”

“I know. I can deal with it.”

“Maybe you two could fix things out?”

“After he destroyed my friendship with Chanyeol? I don’t think so. He’s going overboard.”

Three knocks were heard from the door. It opened and revealed Suho holding onto a plastic bag.

“Brought you food,” he said as he entered the room, placing the food on the table. When he saw Yoonjo, he acknowledge her presence as well. “Oh-Yoonjo. I brought some for you as well. Enjoy your meal! I’ll get going now.”
