A number of knocks was heard from the door. Chanyeol had enough of the banging so he went to open it.

“What do you want?”

“Let me see Ara, please,” he begged. Guilt had been ruling over him for the past minutes.

“Didn’t you see what happened to her? I thought you love her but was that love you showed when you left her behind?”

He bowed his head, unsure and guilty. It wasn’t his intention to leave her. In fact, he wanted her to go first so he could watch her back but she was stubborn and insisted on walking by her own. He looked back every now and then but she was always there. So as they hiked closer to the main site, he stopped looking back.

How unfortunate it went when Ara tripped the time he didn’t bother to look back anymore. The sound she made was inaudible due to the loud thuds of the raindrops.

“I’m sorry. I made a mistake,” was all Suho can say.

“Well, that mistake led to someone’s injury. Next time, be more mindful of your actions.”

The door was closed. It wasn’t shut to his face but it still looked rude. Suho thought that pleading more was of no avail. He turned around and decided to talk to her someday instead. Maybe that time they will have their heads cooled off.
