He watched her walked away.

He did not run nor even bother on chasing her. Instead, he only watched her as she drifted away from him. Though his heart was wrenching at the moment, his body was frozen on its spot, unwilling to move.

He looked at the rose and tightened his grip on it.

“I guess this is my fate.”

He dropped the rose and walked away as well, but with a different direction from Ara. Inside the school building ─ that’s where he was heading to.

Halting, he looked back and saw no more sign of Ara anywhere in the vicinity. “Should I accept it?”

Running past Chanyeol, he noticed the tall man’s down expression. He jogged backwards until he was in front of him. His finger made its way upwards to scratch his head. His face wearing a confused yet worried expression.

“Chanyeol!” He decided to call the lad.

The lad raised his head and acknowledged the other man’s presence. “Hyung,” he breathed, lifeless as it sounds.

“What’s with the down face?” Suho’s hand moved over to Chanyeol’s back, patting it.

“Long story.”

“Then cut it short.”

“Don’t feel like talking about it.”

“I see.” His eyes shifted sideways, feeling the awkward air before continuing, “I understand. Say, I forgot to mention this to you last time, but I’ll be working as the photographer once again.” He grinned still patting the taller one’s back.

“Oh. Really?” Chanyeol’s expression turned from shocked to a puzzled one. His eyebrows furrowed looking at the older male.

“Yes.” Suho removed his hand from him. “So for the coming event, I’ll be the one taking a picture of the magazine’s cover. Thanks for substituting for me!” He left after his last words.

Chanyeol only watched him in complete shock. If Suho was the one who’s going to take over the magazine’s cover photo and Ara is model for the cover page, then that means he will also be the one taking a picture of Ara. That also means that Chanyeol won’t be the one taking Ara’s picture, to which both of them were anticipating before.

Suddenly, it hit him. Was this a plan of Suho to ruin his and Ara’s friendship or their growing interest and possible relationship in the future?

“No,” he tried to convince himself. “Suho wouldn’t do that, would he?”
