Charlotte coughed out water. Her spit and the water slid down on the left side of her cheek. Her eyes seemed to be closed. It felt like she couldn’t open them. She could tell that her body was laying down on the sand. She realized she had drowned. She felt the need to open her eyes now, she saw blurried faces looking down on her. Her vision finally cleared up and she saw most likely everyone. Charlotte focused on Sophie, who looked like she saw a ghost. Then her eyes moved onto KiKwang on the other side, who looked worried as well as the others. She wiped the saliva that was still on her face and finally got up. She looked for the closest showers that were around the beaches. She finally found some and walked herself over to them. She didn’t look back to see her worried friends. She didn’t wipe all the sand stuck all over her body. She the shower to wash off. She saw the sand slide off her. Her hair was tangled and filled with the sand. She gave up on trying to get rid of all the sand that was left on her hair. She looked back at everyone from a distance, and they were all looking at her. Charlotte was slightly embarrassed, but she knew she had to go to them.

Her friends were in shock. They didn’t know what to do once Charlotte opened her eyes. They all just let her be.

Walking over there was making her feel awkward and embarrassed. She hated this kind of attention. She didn’t want people worrying about her either. When she got there, she grabbed her belongings and told them it was fine and that she was going to her room.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” ,Sophie ran up to her, while she was on her way to her room.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Don’t worry about me. I’ll be down for the bonfire and dinner”, she smiled. When she got to her room, she showered once more and took a nap.

Charlotte eventually woke up to get ready for dinner and a bonfire. She still couldn’t believe she had drowned. But there was something that was on her mind. Who had saved her? Was it KiKwang? These questions kept running through her head. But she still had to get ready.

While Charlotte was gone, everyone was really worried about her. They were deciding whether or not to go see how she’s doing. KiKwang stayed quiet the whole entire time. Kyung-mi and Mi-sun weren’t even there, they didn’t show up to the group either. When Joon and Seungi came and found out there moods had quickly changed. Jayce and Junhyung got to the beach minutes before Charlotte had drowned. Jayce tried to liven it up by saying little comments like, “She’s going to be okay. She’s Charlotte!”

Dinner has finally came. Charlotte had gotten ready earlier than expected, so she went to the restaurant they were supposed to eat in. Charlotte decided to wear something simple and nice. She wore a black romper with pockets and a gray, long cardigan. As for her hair, she let it down.

When Charlotte arrived at the restaurant, she was already seated at the table. They got a window view, on the second level, of the ocean. When she finally picked a seat, she texted her two best friends that she was already there. A few minutes later and Jayce had came sitting right next to her.

“Hey! You’re feeling better right?”, he asked right when he sat down.

“Yeah, I’m pretty sure I am”, she smiled and hugged him for caring. “All I did was drown”, Charlotte tried to laugh.

They talked for a while and then people started to show up. First Sophie, then Jinho with Yung-a. Then it ended up with everyone coming. Sophie sat across from Charlotte, Jayce sat next to her on the left side, and Dae sat next to her on the right. They would all ask Charlotte how she was feeling, which was getting her a bit annoyed. To make things worse, she was getting hungry while waiting for her food to arrive.

Everyone wasn’t acting normal and not so talkative as usual. Charlotte noticed this and she couldn’t help but feel a little guitly.

“You guys, I am fine. Let’s enjoy the night!”, she smiled to lighten up everyones mood. They stayed quiet until Joon spoke.

“Charlotte’s right! She tells us she is fine, so she must be fine! Tonight is our last night!”, Joon said. Everyone had agreed and started to talk.

“Thank you”, Charlotte mouthed to Joon. Joon replied with a wink.

Charlotte noticed something that didn’t quite belong in the table and people around her. KiKwang was not talking to anyone. He was simply starring at his plate, with no expression.

Min randomly got Charlottes attention by asking her a question and it gradually became a conversation. She seemed to be into the conversation but, every now and then, she would look at him. He had the same facial expression. Even if the BEAST members were talking to him quietly. It seemed to bother Charlotte.

Dinner went well, Charlotte tried not to pay attention to KiKwang and his face filled with sadness. After they finished eating, they all decided to go to the beach for a bonfire. They all left to the beach in groups and had each brought something like food or blankets.

It was a little chilly, Charlotte was thankful that she wore a cardigan and that she will be near a fire. Once the fire had started, they all sat on armchairs and started to talk. Charlotte thought this was a good way to reconnect with some friends and do the fun things before they all leave tomorrow.

They all were talking in one big circle, about something serious. Then, suddenly, out of no where, they were singing and dancing. Charlotte loved this. DooJoon, HyunSeung, Joon, and Min was singing With Out You by U-kiss. While Jayce, Seungi, Jonghyun, Charlotte, YoSeob, DongWoon, Sophie, and suprisingly Yung-a danced. They have never saw her dance, even if it was just for the fun of it. And with that, Jinho had joined her. The others who were sitting or just humming along, were laughing and still having fun. Except for KiKwang, he was talking to JunHyung somewhere near the bonfire. Charlotte noticed JunHyung come back and started singing.

“Where was KiKwang?”, she thought. She decided to walk off and look for him, he obviously wasn’t in a good mood. “He needs some cheering up, even if I despise the boy”, Charlotte thought to herself.

She walked towards the shore where she saw him starring at the ocean. Charlotte was slightly regretting her decision to come and talk to him. But KiKwang had turned, looking at Charlottes direction. “No turning back now”, she told herself. She was now facing him, with nothing to say.

“So are you really okay?”, KiKwang asked with a worry tone in his voice.

“Yeah, I am. I didn’t die or something serious like that”, Charlotte replied.

“Yeah, but you could have! Don’t say that”, KiKwang said looking down at the sand.

“Yeah, I could have, but I didn’t because you were there”, she said.

“Yeah, but I was the cause of this all happening!”, he said a little bit louder than the last time.

“Was this why you weren’t talking at dinner?”. KiKwang stayed quiet. “Thank you”, Charlotte said.

“No, I should be saying sorry. Very sorry. I am an idiot, will you forgive me?”, he asked.

“Yes, if you promise to stop saying you won and all that crap”.

“Promise!”, he smiled, he was back to normal. Charlotte smiled right away and they both were just staring at each other.

“I’m happy that you are okay!”, he smiled and hugged Charlotte. They were still hugging and KiKwang looked at her and his lips suddenly went towards hers. She pushed back, “Sorry, could we not do this right away?”. Charlotte couldn’t believe what was just about to happen. She didn’t know what to do but push away. She wondered if anyone saw or thinking why they both were out here alone.

“Oh, yeah. Sorry about that”, KiKwang put one hand on the back of his head.

“Lets join the others? I think I see YoSeob chasing DongWoon around the fire”, Charlotte laughed, quickly changing the subject.

Everyone was finally having fun and laughing around. Charlotte never would have thought all of the BEAST members were funny, they got her laughing so much. In the end, they all were headed of to their rooms and said bye. KiKwang made sure to say good night to Charlotte.

Once Charlotte got ready for bed, she went to the balcony and stared at the ocean. She stayed for a while until she got tired. Charlotte was in deep thought and was repeating in her mind about her long but fun day, even if she had almost died. Charlotte was deffinitely confused but for some reason she couldn’t help but smile.
