- Wonderful Kyutie’s POV~ -

We walked through the crowd but I kept my eye on Hyunnie just in case something were to happen like before.

We stopped in front of a beauty salon and turned to face Seohyun. “Seo Joo Hyun… you’re going to have a makeover today,” I said and smiled at her.

“Wh-What?! I never asked for one! I’m happy with what I have now and I don’t have the money to spoil myself!” she said in a rush.

I couldn’t help but see how cute she looked at that moment. “Hyunnie… don’t worry too much about that today, I’ll pay for everything!” I said and grinned proudly.

She shook her head immediately after I said that. “No, It’s okay! I don’t want to be such a burden on you!”

I smiled at her and then looked at a lady who worked at the salon. “Ahjumma! Make Hyunnie pretty!”

The Ahjumma turned to face me and had a look of anger but it quickly disappeared. I didn’t know why…

She started working on Seohyun's hair and make-up soon after and I left to get myself ready for later.

I went back to the salon half an hour later and I thought I saw a different girl…

I was amazed by how pretty she was, even though I knew she was pretty underneath, I got to see how she really looked after she showed her beauty outside. I saw the Ahjumma batting her eyes quickly and I thought she just looked… weird. I gave her the money  and went up to Hyunnie.

“Ready to leave now?” I asked her. She nodded and we went out of the salon together.

We walked into a few clothing shops and I made her try on some clothes. I thought that she looked cute in each and every one of them.

I couldn’t help but smile when she came out showing me the dresses that she tried on. I bought pretty much everything she wore but she decided to wear the pink dress with a black band around her waist with a black ribbon on the side of it. She looked…. really, really pretty. I blushed at the thought.

We finished shopping since Hyunnie was complaining that I was spending too much on her.

“Kamsahamnida Kyuhyun oppa for everything!” she said happily as we walked out.

I looked away, thinking about what her mother did for me. “Don’t thank me so soon….” I said quietly as we headed towards the car.

We got into the car together and I couldn’t help but feel how awkward it was.

“So… Seohyun, why don’t you like being called Seo Joohyun?” I asked.

She looked like she was about to cry but she answered softly, “My mother used to call me that…”

“Why doesn’t she call you that anymore?” I asked, forgetting about the past.

“Well… she passed away recently and that name just reminds me of her…” she answered.

“Oh… I’m sorry for your loss…” I replied softly, remembering what happened once again. It didn’t feel like the right time to tell her what really happened…

Another awkward silence came…. “By the way… how do you know that name?”

I blushed with embarrassment and looked away. I realised that the name that she told wasn’t that name but Seohyun.

I decided not to say anything else until we arrived.

I got out of the car and opened the door for her. She got out and said, “Kamsahamnida Kyuhyun oppa!”

I took her hand as we started walking. I did it without thinking but when I did realise what I was doing, I blushed once again and my heart started beating faster.

 “You don’t need to call me oppa… makes me feel older,” I said and looked away.I just don’t want you to call me oppa because you look cute when you do… “Act as though you’re my girlfriend,” I then said.

Yeah… that’s all it can ever be between us… Acting... I can never fall in love with this girl even though I know that i'm already falling in love with her. After this, I will just leave her like nothing ever happened… It’ll be better for the both of us. Or so I thought…

“Wh-What! Girlfriend? I just met you!” she said.

“Mhmm… Just follow my lead… and can you please turn around for a second?” I asked her.

She nodded and turned around.

I put around the necklace that I bought for her before she arrived. “I thought it would suit your clothes and my girlfriend deserves to be pampered,” I said and smirked, feeling proud of myself as she turned to look at me.

She looked down at the necklace and looked up at me to say, “You didn’t have to… it looks so expensive…”

The image of her mother came back to me. This was nothing compared to what she did for me… plus I was only going to do this as an excuse to see her…

 “Hyunnie… don’t worry about it. This is payment for what I’m asking you to do anyway. Once our business is finished you don’t have to see me again…” I said and couldn’t help but feel hurt inside about it.

Why did her mother have to save me? It would’ve been so much easier if it weren’t for the past…
