The next several weeks went by quickly, with everyone getting sick of eating fish and bananas. There comes a time when there are so many ways you can cook them, and everyone had run out of ideas.
Hyuna finally got tired of hearing almost everyone go on about how they were sick of eating fish and bananas. She hadn’t mentioned that she did like bananas AT ALL, and was instead eating them gladly. Pasty, icky gooiness, no matter how you cooked them.
Turning to Yoseob, she smiled. “I’m going to go see if I can find some other food,” she frowned. “Somewhere…There has to be something else out there.”
Eli chuckled. “Yeah…maybe some grass, but we’re not animals.”
Jessica glared at him. “Well, we haven’t exactly been eating like kings and queens, with the bananas and fish, day in and day out. Grass might sound good, right now.”
Eli laughed again, glancing at her. “Okay, princess. Whatever you say.”
Jessica shot him another glare, and opened to retort, but was interrupted by Hyuna, who rolled her eyes. This ordeal was getting to everyone’s nerves. “Look…I’m going to go find some other food," she repeated the statement she had just made a few minutes ago. "Would anyone like to go with me?”
Yuri grinned, glancing at "barbie" Jessica. “I’ll go with you. I’m hungry, too. Let’s go.”
Hyuna smiled at her. "Thanks, Yuri. I appreciate it."

Hyuna and Yuri walked carefully, looking all over for something that might be edible. Hyuna got the idea to fill their shirts with grass and various weeds. There might be something edible, and they both figured that someone back at camp might be able to tell if their quest was worth it. Yuri figured that the leaves they found to carry it all in would worth trying, at the very least.
They walked further, and were very satisfied by their bounty. They began talking as they walked, and did not notice the large pit that was in front of them, until they had fallen into it. Both girls screamed, as they went down, hitting the bottom hard.
Yuri noticed that Hyuna was now shaking from fear. Yuri glanced upward, and thought she heard something. To her horror, which she hid so that Hyuna would not become more afraid, it sounded like a snake. That would be really bad in this jungle.
Hyuna smiled nervously at Yuri. “Are you injured? I don’t think I am.” She rubbed her elbow where she had scraped it on the way down.
Yuri was still distracted by the possibility of there being snakes above them. She shook her head. “I’m fine. I’ve had worse scrapes playing sports.” Yuri listened, and heard something rustling above them. It did not sound like a large animal, and also was not moving like a mammal. She guessed it was most likely snakes.
Just great.
Glancing at the top of the pit again, Yuri motioned for Hyuna to come closer. She did, and Yuri held her tightly, on the side of the pit. She also began looking around for something to get out with.
Hyuna saw her looking, and mentioned it. “Hey, what are you looking for? Maybe I can help.”
Yuri smiled. “Do you see anything we can possibly
