Nayoung & Jae Special

Opposites Attract

Nayoung's Pov

I sighed, as I waited at the park.

Where was that pabo of a boyfriend I had?

It's White Day, come on.

Where could he be?

I looked around a bit, and sighed once more.

"Why are you sighing, pretty lady?"

I turned, and saw a guy approaching me.

I gave him a look, but he didn't seem to notice.

"Uh, no reason." I replied slowly, inching away.

"Don't you wanna hang out with me?" He asked.

"Not especially." I replied back.

He gave a stretched smile and said, "Aw, why not? I'm super fun, trust me on that."

"I guess you are, I just don't wanna hang out."

"Aw, but why? I've got the looks, I've got the personality, what more do you want?" He cooed.

"Privacy?" I suggested, glaring at him a bit.

"We can have privacy together, honey," He grabbed me, and I tried to wiggle out of his grasp.

"Fiesty, aren't you?" He laughed. "Why don't we-"

He was interrupted by a flailing punch.

"Mwoh?" The guy turned, trying to see the face of the attacker.

I looked as well, and saw Jae.

Ugh, finally that pabo came!

"What'd you do that for?" The guy's eyes flared.

"Excuse you, that's my girlfriend you're holding!" Jae objected.

The guy narrowed his eyes, and stared at me.

"This is your girlfriend?" He started chuckling a bit. "Fine then, I didn't need her any ways."

He threw me aside, and Jae narrowly caught me.

I watched begrudgingly as the guy walked away.

"Hey, are you okay?" Jae asked, worried.

I nodded, and now that I got a closer look at him, I noticed that he died his hair a strawberry blonde-like color.

I tilted my head, wondering why he did that.

Jae looked at me, and suddenly blushed when he realized that I was wondering about his hair.

His face must've been as pink as his hair.

"Uh... Well... I wanted to impress you so I dyed my hair." He blushed even more, and when it sunk in, I blushed as well.

"It looks nice." I commented, after managing to stop looking so pink.

"Kamsahamnida," He flashed a gummy smile, and I melted a bit.

"So where'd you want to go?" I asked.

"Well first, here. It's your gift for White Day." Jae grinned, handing me a poorly wrapped present.

I took it, and gently unwrapped it, gasping when I saw what was inside.

It was a cute, peter pan white-collared dress that was red.

"Aigo, was this expensive?" I asked, concerned.

Jae shook his head.

"Ani." He answered firmly.

I narrowed my eyes and looked at him, but after believing him, I smiled at the dress.

"Kamsahamnida oppa~" I grinned, hugging him.

"Do you like it?" Jae asked.

"I love it," I answered honestly. "Kamsahamnida."

I leaned up to kiss his lips.

When I pulled away, I smiled.

"So you're not mad anymore about the whole pink tiara thing, right?" I asked, folding the dress up and putting it carefully in my purse.

Jae rolled his eyes.

"Ani. Besides, you already bought me a snapback and new shoes, so that's good."

He beamed, and I found myself smiling back.

"Aigo, you're so kyeopta~" Jae cooed, while pinching my cheek.

"Yah, oppa," I objected, and he laughed, removing his hand from my cheek.

"Arasseo, arasseo. Let's go now," He grinned.

I nodded, and threw away the wrapper while we walked out.

"How do you think Sunjung's doing? I mean, she might not see Ren today. And it's White Day." Jae asked.

I shrugged.

"Knowing Ren, he probably begged for the day off." I answered.

Jae nodded in agreement.

"But if he didn't get the day off, I'm sure she's just lying on her bed, lonely." I added.

"Poor Sunjung," Jae sighed.

"Ne," I said.

Suddenly, Jae turned, and stopped in front of a small cafe.

"This is where you wanted to take me?" I asked.

"Ne. It's cute." Jae grinned, and opened the door.

I walked in, looked around, and agreed.

It was a light pink, and very girlish.

"You know my tastes well, don't you?" I teased.

"I do~" Jae replied back with a smile.

"Annyeonghaseyo," The waitress smiled. "Table five. I'll be by shortly."

"Arasseo," Jae replied, and led me to the table, his hand resting on my waist lightly.

He pulled out a chair, and sat me down, going over to the opposite seat.

"Kamsahamnida," I smiled.

"Anieyo," Jae replied.

"Annyeonghaseyo, I'm your waiter. What would you like to drink?" She smiled, handing us a menu.

"Water." I replied.

"Pepsi." Jae added.

"Okay, one water and one Pepsi." She nodded, confirming the order. "I'll be back soon."

She walked away, and I scanned the menu.

"What do you want?" Jae asked, also looking on the menu.

"Ah, I don't know." I answered. "You?"

Jae shrugged.

For a moment, we looked at the menu, and Jae finally said, "I want the strawberry cake."

"Is it because your hair is pink?" I teased, sticking my tongue out.

Jae pouted.

"Arasseo, arasseo. Then, I want the vanilla cake." I smiled.

The waitress shortly came with our drinks.

"What would you guys like to order?" She grinned widely, after setting the cups on the table.

Jae told her our orders, and she scribbled it down on her notepad.

"Arasseo. One strawberry cake and one vanilla cake? Is that all?" she asked.

She left after we nodded.

"Here," Jae handed me my water, and I stuck the straw in.

"Kamsahamnida." I said.

"Mm," Jae hummed in reply.

He started sipping his drink, and I lightly scolded, "You'll be full even before your order comes out, pabo."

"Arasseo," Jae whined, and fiddled with his fingers.

I laughed.

"You're so impatient."

"Ne," Jae answered.

He seemed so interested in playing with his fingers that I found it incredibly adorable.

I pinched his cheek, and he blinked.

"Yah, Nayoung-ah, what are you doing?" He asked, somewhat surprised.

"Ah, ani, nothing." I giggled.

"Hey, your hair looks nice today." Jae commented.

"Ah, kamsahamnida." I grinned, brushing through the strands with my fingers.

I had decided to make it wavy today, and I was surprised it took Jae that long to notice.

"Your hair looks nice too." I teased.

"Yah, I wanted to impress you!" Jae argued.

"Arasseo, arasseo, I think it looks nice." I smiled.

The waitress came by with our cakes, and set them down gently with a smile.

"Enjoy," she said cheerily, and left.

Jae was the first one to start eating.

He practically scarfed down the cake in like, 5 seconds.

I sat there, slowly eating mine, and occasionally watching Jae every once in a while.

"Jae..." I slowly said, as he finished eating.

He looked at me, his mouth covered in crumbs.

"Aigo... You're so dirty," I sighed, taking a napkin, but then he pulled away. "Yah! Oppa, what are you doing?"

He smiled sheepishly and said, "Kiss♥"

I blused madly, and threw the napkin at him.

"K-kiss yourself, pabo!" I muttered, not daring to meet his gaze.

"Aw, but Young-ah~" Jae cooed. "I'm doing my aegyo just for you!"

I glared at him, and he just pouted cutely.

"Do you want me to stay dirty? I'll walk around town like this." Jae whined.

"I'll leave you," I teased.

"Whaa-- Nayoung-ah~" He whined.

"Sh-shut up and wipe your mouth, pabo!" I turned my head to the side to avoid his gaze, blushing.

"Nayoung?"

"What?" I hissed, and turned my head, only to meet a pair of his lips touching mine.

"Mwah♥ Saranghae~" Jae teased, sticking his tongue out when he pulled away.

I blushed, and scowled at him.

"Yah, stupid oppa..." I muttered.

He just laughed.

"Aigo, mianhae, saranghae, saranghae," Jae grinned. "I'll go pay now, ne?"

"Arasseo," I sighed, and watched as he left the table.

Sighing, I quietly patted my cheeks, wishing the redness in them would go away.

He came back shortly, and noticed me patting my cheeks.

"Wae? Nayoung, what are you doing?" he asked, sticking his wallet back into his pocket.

I blinked and turned to him.

"A-aniya, nothing. Gosh, Jae, you scared me!" I mutter, standing up to avoid his question.

Jae just chuckled, and smiled.

"Arasseo. Let's finish our drinks before we go," He suggested.

I nodded, and began sipping my drink before Jae groaned.

I eyed him, wondering what was wrong.

"I'm too full~" he said with aegyo. "Will you help me finish?"

"Ani, I need to finish mine. Just stop drinking yours." I say, going back to sipping my drink.

He whined, "But Nayoung-ah~ I can't just waste this... Think about the poor zebras in Africa!"

I rolled my eyes at his stupidity, and sighed, before pulling my straw out of my cup and sticking it in his Coke.

"You are so lucky it's White Day today, stupid pabo." I sighed.

He smiled.

"Kamsahamnida jagi!" he chuckled cheerily.

"Ne, ne, anything for you," I teased.

We sat there, sipping the Coke, when a waitress came over to us.

"Aigo, you two are so kyeopta! Do you mind if we take a picture?" she asked.

Before I could say anything, she took the picture, and she smiled to us.

"I'll give you two a copy if you wish?"

"I want one!" Jae suddenly announced, making the waitress laugh.

"Arasseo. Please give me a second." She said, and walked away.

"Yah, she caught me when I was unprepared." I pouted.

"It's okay, you're yeppeo, so it doesn't matter." Jae pinched my cheek.

"Pabo jagi..." I muttered under my breath, and started sipping the Coke again.

Shortly, the waitress came back, and handed the both of us the pictures.

"Ah, kamsahamnida," I said, and she smiled, and walked away.

"Yah, jagi, we look cute huh?" Jae said, admiring the picture.

"Ne," I agreed.

Then, I stuck the photo in my purse.

"We should go, ne?"

"Arasseo," Jae nodded, and stuck the photo in his wallet.

He stood up first, and held his hand out for me to take.

I grinned, and took it, him helping me up.

We walked out, and it was already sunset.

"Aigo, we spent a lot of time there." Jae commented.

"It's only four... The sun still sets early." I said, checking my phone.

"Do you still wanna hang?" he asked.

I nodded eagerly.

"Arasseo, cause I have the perfect place," he smiled.

Then, he grabbed my hand, and led me to a quiet park.

"What are we doing here?" I asked.

"Watching the stars," Jae smiled.

"The stars?"

Jae nodded, and I just went with it.

He laid down on the grass, and so did I.

"They're beautiful, huh?" Jae breathed, looking up at the stars.

"Ne," I agreed.

"Not as beautiful as you, though," Jae said cheekily, turning his head to look at me.

I blushed, and turned my head away.

"Shut up pabo..." I muttered.

"Arasseo, arasseo." Jae laughed, turning back to look at the stars.

Once I felt that it was safe, I turned my head back.

"You know, I'm glad you're my jagi." Jae said softly.

"I'm glad you're my jagi too." I replied.

It was quiet between us for a second.

"Saranghae," Jae quietly said.

I smiled. "Saranghae," I replied back.

"Do you really?" Jae asked.

"Really what?" I asked.

"Love me..." he mumbled.

I laughed.

"Of course, pabo. Why would I be dating you if I didn't?" I teased.

"Well because I used to like Sunjung..." He said quietly.

It was quiet between us for a second, but then I hit him playfully.

"So? You don't like her anymore right?" I pouted.

"Ani..." he said slowly.

I narrowed my eyes.

"Ani, I swear I don't!" He put his hands up in surrender.

"Arasseo, arasseo," I laughed. "I know you don't."

"Yah, you're such a tease," he pouted.

"Aigo, you're being such a kid right now," I pinched his cheeks.

He kept pouting, but looked up at the sky, and gasped.

"Look!" He exclaimed, and I turned to look up at the dark scenery, when I noticed a dash of light.

"A shooting star!" he gawked. "Did you wish for anything?"

"Ah, pabo, it went away before I could get a wish!" I muttered, downcasted.

He just laughed.

"Aigo, it's okay," He said, pinching my cheeks this time.

"Pabo..." I mumbled. "What did you wish for?"

Jae blushed.

I sat there, waiting, and he said something that I couldn't hear.

"Say it louder," I whined.

He said something, but I still couldn't hear.

"Pabo, if you don't speak up, I'll spit into your shirt!" I threatened playfully.

"Aigo, I wished that we'd last forever!" he said, shielding himself with his hands.

I blushed, and sat there, rooted to the spot.

"B-b-bwoh waeyo?" I stuttered, surprised by his confession.

"Th-that's why I didn't wanna say anything!" Jae blushed madly.

"If you were gonna say something like that, then I should've kept you quiet!" I shot back, blushing.

I turned my head, not daring to meet his gaze.

"You don't want to be together forever?" Jae asked quietly.

"A-ani..." I mumbled. "I do... Yah, this is so embarrassing."

Jae laughed, as he watched me, flustered.

Then, he leaned over and kissed my lips.

"Happy White Day. Saranghae." He flashed a gummy smile.

I smiled back.

"Happy White Day. I love you too," I laughed shyly.

Then, I put my head on his shoulder, and we sat there the whole night, watching the stars and talking.
