CHAPTER 20

Sunny came back, with an extremely drunk Tiffany.

I immediately went forward to help.

“She drank 2 bottles of whisky!!! We tried to stop her but her strength is like hulk today! I wonder what the hell is wrong with her!” Sunny complained.

“She looked fine earlier on.” I replied.

Sunny shrugged her shoulders.

We dragged her into her room and carefully put her on her bed.

Jessica came in with a bucket of water and a towel.

“Why did she drink so much?” She asked.

“I wonder why too. She just kept drinking and drinking.” Sunny replied.

Jessica carefully placed the towel on Tiffany’s forehead.

“Taetae?” Tiffany mumbled.

“Yes?” I responded.

“Taetae…” She mumbled again.

“Is she sleeptalking?” Sunny joked.

We chuckled.

“Taetae…” She called my name again. “I’m sorry.”

“Did she just.. apologize?” Sunny said.

Tiffany started crying.

“Fany ah are you okay?” I whispered while patting her hand.

She opened her eyes.

“Tae?”

Then she leaned forward to hug me. The force was so big that I almost lost my balance.

She kept sobbing.

I froze.

“Erm.. Sica, let’s go for some supper?” Sunny asked, while using her eyes to signal something to Sica.

“Okay.” Jessica stared at me for a while before replying Sunny.

“Take care of her.” Sunny whispered into my ears and immediately dragged Sica out of the room.

Tiffany continued to sob.

“Fany ah what’s wrong?” I asked, while gently patting her back.

“Tae.. I love you.”

I flinched at her words.

Tiffany broke our hug and looked straight into my eyes.

“You’re drunk.” I looked away. Her gaze is too strong.

“No, I have never been so sober before.” She grabbed my face. “Can you give me another chance? Let me compensate all the hurt I inflicted on you. Please?” She sobbed.

“Fany ah..”

She suddenly leaned forward and kissed me. I didn’t know how to react and could only keep still.

She broke the kiss and placed her head on my shoulder.

“I’m tired. So tired of pretending that I don’t care. Can we go back to the beginning, Tae?” She whimpered.

I could not give her any reply.

It’s out of my control.

After a while she fell asleep. I carefully placed her on her bed.

“Tae.. give me another chance.. please..” She mumbled while sleeping.

I can only sigh.

Aish.

…

The next day Jessica gave me the cold shoulder.

“Do you want to eat something?”

No reply.

“Wanna join me to watch TV?”

No reply.

“I’m going to the mart, you need anything?”

No reply.

“Are you mad at me?”

No reply.

Pftttttttt.

Sunny looked at me with sympathy.

I sighed.

“Tae?” Tiffany called.

I turned around.

“Let me go with you. Your ankle hasn’t healed.” She came over and grabbed my arm.

“It’s ok, Sooyeon is going with me.” I pointed at Taeyeon.

“I insist.”

“Your head.. not painful anymore?” I asked. She had a terrible hangover when she just woke up.

“Better now. Let’s go?”

I looked at Jessica. She was watching the TV with a straight face.

I looked at Sunny. She shrugged her shoulders.

I looked at Taeyeon. She gave me a blur look.

“Ok.” I answered.

And the 3 of us went to the mart.

…

I noticed Taeyeon kept stealing glances at Tiffany.

But when she realized I was looking at her, she quickly pretended to be choosing stuff from the shelves.

Hmm…

“Taetae! Is this nice?” Tiffany shoved a pink glove at me. “They have couple designs!” She exclaimed. “Let’s use it together?”

I side-eyed Taeyeon.

She looked oblivious.

“But now is summer time?”

“Pabo! We can buy first and wait till winter to use it.” Tiffany smiled.

Winter time.. I wonder if it’s still me using it with you..

“I’ll take silence as a yes? Yay!” Tiffany happily placed the pink gloves into the trolley.

I smiled. She’s really a pink monster.

My phone vibrated.

A message from Sunny.

“Tae I tell you the dorm is so cold I need to wear a jacket. Better fix everything when you come back! D:”

I gulped.

“Guys! Want to go to the new café opposite the dorm later? I heard that the cheese cake is good!” I quickly asked.

“Ok.” Taeyeon nodded.

“Sure! I love cheesecakes!” Tiffany exclaimed.

Phew.

Sorry bunny, I’m not prepared to face hellsica yet.

…

During the meal Tiffany kept talking.

Taeyeon laughed at all her jokes, even though they were not funny at all.

I guess Tiffany really has a special place in her heart.

Feeling bored, I observed the surroundings.

Suddenly a flashback appeared in my mind.

Taeyeon was sitting in a café with.. Jessica?

Both of them look sad.

Then Jessica opened to say something.

“Taengoo I don’t…??”

I couldn’t hear the behind part.

Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my head.

I gripped the table cloth.

“Taetae are you ok?” Tiffany asked worriedly.

“Your ankle is hurting?” Taeyeon asked.

The pain was gone.

“Yeah, but the pain is gone.” I smiled.

“Sorry, if I didn’t argue with Nickhun, you won’t..” Tiffany said, with tears in her eyes.

“It’s not your fault. I should have been more aware of my surroundings.” I used my thumb to wipe her tears.

Furthermore, it was LT who placed the banana skin there.

Tiffany smiled.

And leaned forward to kiss my cheek.

I stoned for a moment.

She leaned on my shoulder and whispered into my ears.

“I really love you, Tae.”
