"Baby?" Kris whispered and shook me lightly. I groaned. Curse myself for being a light sleeper. Kris should've known I didn't like to be woken up in the middle of the night. But I immediately opened my eyes slowly when I remembered what he had confessed to me earlier. 

I looked over at the clock, it was 4:27 am. I only slept  for 2 hours. I rubbed at my tired eyes,"What is it Kris?" I croaked. Kris tightened his hold on my waist,"I can't sleep." he whispered,"I need you." 

I frowned slightly and caressed his cheek,"Baby I'm right here. What's wrong?" Kris took a deep breath,"I had a bad dream."

I kissed his cheek and snuggled closer to Kris,"Wanna talk about it?" I kissed his neck softly. Kris nodded slowly,"I had a dream that you left me." He mumbled,"I was so scared and so sad baby." Kris drew circles on my lower back with his thumbs,"You said you didn't love me anymore because I was never home. You said you couldn't handle the long business trips and me coming home late. You told me it was better for us to go our separate ways." He paused and breathed shakily,"You said you hated me."

Oh lord, I hated emotional Kris to the fullest. It broke my heart completely when he was like this. This is why we stopped drinking. 

Kris whimpered,"You don't hate me right?" 

I shook my head,"Of course not babe. It was all just a dream. Everything's okay." I kissed his neck once more. Kris brought both his hands to my face and kissed
