Chapter 7

 

 

Sungmin was reading a fashion magazine while sitting elegantly inside the black limousine

 

“Unnie…”

 

Sulli speaks softly while staring at Sungmin curiously. Sungmin didn’t look at her as she was busy reading her interview about her being the new model Versace and endorser of Lacoste fragrance for women. Sungmin only nods her head, giving Sulli the signal to continue talking because she’s listening

 

“Ah…I’m just wondering Unnie. Why do we need to leave early and why do you need to go with me at Seoul University?”

 

Sulli asks Sungmin curiously while staring at her

 

“Well…”

 

Sungmin closes the magazine that she’s reading and puts it down beside her

 

“We’re going to have breakfast first at Shilla Hotel before we go to your school”

 

Sungmin smiles while staring at Sulli’s confused look

 

“I need to go with you at Seoul University because I set an appointment today with the President and Board Members of the University. I’m going to have a meeting with them today”

 

“Why?”

 

“It’s a very serious matter Sulli, but it’s all about Kim Ryeowook”

 

Sulli smiles at Sungmin

 

“So, you’re planning to take the trash away from my University. Am I right Unnie?”

 

Sungmin nods

 

“A trash and beggar like her doesn’t belong in a society meant for powerful, rich, high class, influential and elite people. She needs to vanish from our society soon and Seoul University is only for rich and powerful people and there’s no room for a beggar like her”

 

Sungmin flashes an evil smile

 

“That’s what she gets for dreaming to be one of us and for trying to steal my Jongwoonie to me. She’s a social climber and woman. That Kim Ryeowook will be going down and I’ll make sure that I will drag her to hell for messing with me. I’m going to show her who is Lee Sungmin”

 

“That’s right Unnie. Make her life miserable. Show that Kim Ryeowook that Jongwoon Oppa will never love a girl like her. She doesn’t belong in our society. You need to show her that she’s no match for you in terms of beauty, brain, power and wealth and of course to Jongwoon Oppa’s heart because you’re for Oppa and he’s for you”

 

Sulli holds Sungmin’s hands, showing her support for Sungmin

 

“Don’t worry Unnie because I’m on your side. You need to ruin her and I’m sure that you’re going to win”

 

“Of course Sulli, I’m going to win over her because I’m not going to stop until that girl is already lying on her grave. I won’t let her win against me because Jongwoon is mine. I won’t let that beggar ruin everything between me and my Jongwoonie”

 

Sungmin told Sulli while smiling devilishly

 

“But of course she can stay in Seoul University and continue her studies if she can pay her tuition fee. Since she’s a beggar, I bet she can never pay it”

 

“How pity of her Unnie. I’m happy because the trash in my University is finally out and I’m sure that other students will be very happy as well”

 

Sungmin and Sulli stare at each other and start laughing while talking about Ryeowook

 

 

 

 

Jongwoon went at the dining room to join his father in breakfast

 

“Good morning sweetheart”

 

Jongwoon stares at the owner of the voice. His blood suddenly boils upon seeing Teukie who is smiling at him

 

“What are you doing here?”

 

Jongwoon asks his mother while staring at her seriously

 

“Minnie leaves early with Sulli. They will be having breakfast together at Shilla Hotel. Minnie wants to drop Sulli in her school. Siwon just left. Have a seat now and join us in breakfast”

 

Youngwoon told Jongwoon whose eyes are still fixed upon Teukie who is sitting three seats away from Youngwoon. Jongwoon sit down two seats away from Youngwoon, facing Teukie

 

“What are you doing here?”

 

Jongwoon asks his mother again. Teukie was about to speak, but Youngwoon suddenly -in

 

“I’m the one who invites her over. Well, your mom will be flying back in New York later and I guess it’s better if we have breakfast together like a family”

 

Jongwoon smirks

 

“Family? Since when did we become a family?”

 

Jongwoon asks his father whose eyes are still focused on Teukie

 

“Ah Jongwoon…I’ll be leaving for a business trip today. I still don’t know when I will come back”

 

Youngwoon tell his son, trying to catch his attention because he can feel his son’s anger rising towards his ex-wife. Jongwoon ignores his father

 

“Why are you here?”

 

Jongwoon asks Teukie for the third time

 

“Where is your other man Park Jungsoo?”

 

“Don’t call my husband like that. Younho is not doing anything to you. If you’re mad me then don’t involved him here”

 

Teukie sighs sadly and looks at her son with teary eyes

 

“Sweetheart, what do you want me to do in order for you to forgive me? I’m already sorry for what I did before. I’m really sorry for leaving you. But please understand sweetheart. Your dad and I can no longer live together. He’s the one who cheated on me. I just return the favor”

 

Teukie explains to her son before staring at Youngwoon seriously. She still feels so mad at her ex-husband for exchanging her to other woman

 

“We try to save our marriage, but we just can’t stand each other anymore. The love between us already vanished and we’re just too tired to…”

 

Teukie stops talking when someone slams his hands on the table. Youngwoon and Teukie stare at their son who looks so serious and mad towards them. Jongwoon was the one who slams his hands on the table because of feeling so angry towards his parents. He stares at them seriously

 

“Do you want me to forgive you Park Jungsoo? Tell me, how will I do that when I can’t even forgive my father for hurting you when he cheated on you?”

 

Jongwoon’s tears start forming in his eyes

 

“We’re not talking about who cheated first. We’re actually talking about who stay beside me and who leave me alone. Appa stays, but you leave me. Appa left his mistress because I beg him, but you…you didn’t leave your other man. You leave me and not him. I beg for you, but you still choose him more than your own son and that’s the thing that I can’t accept and understand!”

 

Jongwoon told Teukie angrily

 

“I don’t want to see your face again Park Jungsoo! I don’t want to see you on my wedding day. I can’t forgive you even if you beg! I hate you so much and that will never change!”

 

Jongwoon stands up and turns his back away. He starts walking away

 

“YAH! KIM JONGWOON!”

 

Youngwoon shouts, but Jongwoon ignores him. He went out of the dining room and went straight out of the mansion. He went inside his black Aston Martin One-77. He wears his seatbelt and starts driving his car. Jongwoon was thinking about his parents and his chaotic life when he suddenly remembers something. He wears his Bluetooth headset and calls Siwon

 

“Yeoboseo”

 

“Siwon-ah, are you busy right now?”

 

Siwon stares at his watch

 

“I have a meeting that will start within fifteen minutes. Why?”

 

Jongwoon sighs

 

“Can I ask for a little favor?”

 

Siwon nods before going inside the elevator

 

“What is it?”

 

“Please help me find out what Minnie is up to. Hire someone who will watch her move”

 

Siwon raised his eyebrow

 

“Why? Are you afraid that your loving fiancée is having a secret affair? That will never happen Jongwoon-ah because that girl is obsessed on you”

 

Siwon teases his cousin and went out of the elevator

 

“Pabo! What the are you talking about? I just want to make sure that she won’t do something stupid that will hurt Wookie”

 

“Can you really stop that girl? You know Minnie. She will do everything to get what she wants and that’s you my dear cousin. I think you should stop thinking about Wookie, so Minnie won’t be jealous. In that way, Minnie will stop being a and Wookie will not be in trouble. Just think about it Jongwoon. You need to forget your love for Wookie. I know that you love her and not Minnie. I have nothing against that and you know that I will always support you as long as it will make you happy, but…”

 

Siwon sighs

 

“I think, you really need to forget Wookie and your love for her. That girl is very innocent and it’s not fair if she will receive such treatment from Minnie. She’s not doing anything. It’s just that you love her. That’s why Minnie is hurting her. You can never stop Minnie and you know that Jongwoon-ah”

 

“Just do what I asked you to do”

 

Jongwoon told Siwon before hanging up. He takes a deep breath while thinking about Ryeowook and the things that Siwon just told him

 

“Maybe Siwon is right. I need to forget about Wookie and my love for her. I can’t love her because if I do, I’ll just end up hurting her. Why is it so hard to be happy?”

 

Jongwoon thought. He parks his car at the corner as his eyes start to get watery. Jongwoon’s vision is getting blurry because of the tears that are forming in her eyes. He rest his head on the steering wheel

 

“I hate my life. I hate everything about me”

 

Jongwoon whispers. He holds his chest because he feels so hurt and helpless at that moment. His heart is breaking into pieces, but he can’t do anything to heal it. Jongwoon knows that he needs to follow his father’s will and he can never escape from Youngwoon’s shadow. He will forever be his father’s puppet and he will always sacrifice his happiness because of Youngwoon’s selfishness

 

“Why is it so hard Wookie? Why do we need to end like this? I don’t want to forget you, but I need to. I want to love you, but I need to let you go”

 

Jongwoon whispers as warm tears start falling slowly from his eyes

 

 

 

 

*SEOUL UNIVERSITY*

 

 

Ryeowook went at the President’s office because he wants to talk to her. She knocks on the door softly before going inside. Ryeowook walks towards the President of Seoul University who is sitting on his chair and bows at him

 

“Please sit down Ms. Kim”

 

Ryeowook sits on the chair and looks at the President blankly

 

“My Professor told me that you want to talk to me Mr. President. What is it?”

 

Ryeowook asks the President politely. The President takes a deep breath before speaking

 

“It’s all about your scholarship here at Seoul University”

 

“What about it Mr. President?”

 

“Well…”

 

The President of the University focused his eyes on Ryeowook

 

“I’m sorry to inform you that your scholarship has been terminated”

 

Ryeowook’s eyes widened

 

“Why? Did I do something wrong? I didn’t remember failing a certain subjects and I maintain high grades. What’s the reason? Why are taking my scholarship away from me?”

 

“I’m sorry Ms. Kim, but I and the Board Members already talked about it awhile ago. We already made a decision that we’re going to terminate your scholarship because this University is only for rich people. Other students are already complaining about you. They can’t understand why we give a poor girl like you a scholarship and let you study here. We don’t want to risk the reputation of the University. I’m sorry Ms. Kim, but we’re no longer supporting your study. If you want to stay, you can stay. But you need to pay the tuition fee”

 

Ryeowook’s tears start forming in her eyes

 

“You’re kicking me out of this University because I’m not rich like the other students. Is that the way you judge people? Base on their status in life?”

 

Ryeowook’s tears start falling slowly from her eyes

 

“You know how important my education to me is. I’m doing my best to finished my study and then you’re going to tell me that you’re going to terminate my scholarship because I’m just a poor girl? Why are you being so unfair towards us who can’t even pay for our education? Why are you so unfair towards us who are struggling so hard to educate ourselves? Why are you being so unfair towards poor people? I can’t understand”

 

“I’m sorry Ms. Kim, but that’s the reality. Just accept the fact that poor people like you will never win against us who are rich”

 

Ryeowook nods her head and wipes her tears

 

“You know what Mr. President? I have a very high respect on you. I thought you’re not like those rich who use their power to abuse people and step on their dignity. But I was wrong. Please keep this in mind Mr. President. We maybe poor, but our conscience is clean. We may lack everything in terms of wealth, education and power, but poor people are better than rich people. Why? Because we know how to respect and we’re not stepping other people’s dignity and because of that, we’re more educated than you rich people”

 

Ryeowook told the President of the University. She stands up and bows at him before leaving the office

 

 

 

 

*KIM CORPORATION*

 

 

Jongwoon was sitting on his chair with his eyes closed. He was taking a rest after finishing two meetings. He slowly rubs his forehead, feeling so tired. Jongwoon slowly opens his eyes when he heard his mobile phone ringing. He grabs it on his desk and stares on the caller’s name. Jongwoon was about to rejects the call, but he changes his mind. He takes a deep breath and answers the call

 

“Honey…”

 

Jongwoon heard Sungmin’s sweet voice

 

“Honey? Yeoboseo, are you there?”

 

Jongwoon nods

 

“I’m listening. Why?”

 

Sungmin smiles upon hearing Jongwoon’s deep voice

 

“I just want to hear your lovely voice. Am I disturbing you?”

 

“Not really. You sound so happy today. Did something happen?”

 

Jongwoon asks curiously, trying to fish around. He just wants to find out if ever Sungmin did something to hurt Ryeowook

 

“Nothing happen today honey. I’m just happy that’s all. I’m also happy hearing your voice”

 

“I see. By the way, Appa told me that you and Sulli leave early awhile ago. Why?”

 

“Oh…”

 

Sungmin smiles and she knows that Jongwoon is trying to catch her

 

“We just eat our breakfast together at Shilla Hotel”

 

“Why do you need to eat outside when you can have breakfast at home?”

 

“I just want to have a girl bonding with Sulli. I just want to eat breakfast at Shilla Hotel because I already miss eating breakfast there since I live in Great Britain for a very long time. Why? Are you jealous of Sulli?”

 

Jongwoon smiles

 

“Yes I am”

 

Jongwoon lied so it won’t be too obvious that he wants to know something

 

“I have the right to be jealous, isn’t it?”

 

Sungmin giggles happily, but she knows that Jongwoon is just acting because knowing her fiancé, Jongwoon is not the type of man who gets jealous over a girl and he’s not the type of person who gets jealous easily, especially if he doesn’t love that certain person

 

“Of course you have the right to get jealous honey. What time are you going home today?”

 

“I still don’t know. Why?”

 

“Please go home early and let’s have dinner together. I’m going to cook delicious dinner for you”

 

“You don’t need to do that”

 

Sungmin pouts

 

“Come on honey. Just go home early today. I’m going to cook dinner for you. It’s my own simple way to make it up to you since I didn’t join you in breakfast awhile ago and I left early with Sulli without even saying good bye to you. You don’t need to be jealous of Sulli because I’m going to cook dinner for you…only for you. You know that I love you that much even though you don’t love me”

 

“Minnie, please”

 

“I’m just telling you Jongwoon. I don’t know where your conscience is. I don’t know why you’re treating me like this. All I did is to love you, what is wrong with that?”

 

Sungmin told Jongwoon sadly

 

“By the way, Youngwoon Appa just left. He told me that he will be going in Australia for business trip”

 

“He already told me about that awhile ago. I need to go now Minnie. I still have a lot of things to do”

 

“Really? Or you’re just avoiding me?”

 

Jongwoon shook his head

 

“Minnie, stop thinking like that. You know how busy I am”

 

“But at least try to give me some of your time, so I won’t think that you’re avoiding me because of what I did during our engagement party. Please don’t hate me honey. I know that you’re mad, but what can I do? I’m jealous and I know that you know that I have the right to be jealous because I’m your fiancée and not her. I am the one who will become Mrs. Kim Jongwoon and that woman”

 

Jongwoon sighs

 

“We already talked about it, right? When will you understand me?”

 

“I don’t want to understand you Jongwoon. Just go home early and let’s have our dinner together or else I’ll be mad at you. I will be waiting for you”

 

Sungmin hangs up. Jongwoon just sighs and stares at his mobile phone’s wallpaper

 

“I can never forget that night that we’re together. Though it’s just a very short period of time, I am happy because I’m with you. I’m happy holding your hand and staring at your beautiful smiles. I know that it’s just simple things, but those simple things are the one that makes me happy. Being with you makes me feel so happy and I can forget my chaotic life. All my troubles, worries, pains, problems and fears are all going away when I’m with you, especially when I see you smiling at me”

 

Tears start forming in Jongwoon’s eyes as he stares at his wallpaper. It was his picture with Ryeowook at the beach. He was recalling those happy moments that he spend with Ryeowook

 

“You know my talkative girl? Meeting you is the most memorable moment in my life. I want to keep that memory, but I also need to forget it…I need to forget you and my love for you. I, Kim Jongwoon, can’t love. I must not know about love because my parents didn’t love me and they didn’t teach me to love because they only love their selves and their own ambition”

 

Jongwoon put down his mobile phone on his desk and opens his drawer. He gets a blue notebook inside and opens it. He slowly turning the pages until he finally found what he’s looking for; it was a picture of him with his parents. He gets the picture before closing the notebook and returns it inside the drawer. Jongwoon stares at the picture that he was holding. He was controlling his tears from falling as he remembers that day. The picture was taken at their resort in Jamaica, during his third birthday. It was a happy memory and it’s the only family picture that they have. Jongwoon stares at the picture sadly. The once happy family suddenly becomes chaotic and he just can’t understand why

Jongwoon was only five years old when he saw his father on bed with other woman. It was raining so hard at that time and Jongwoon woke up from his peaceful sleep because of the sound of the thunder

 

“UMMA!!! APPA!!!”

 

Jongwoon shouts as he starts sobbing. He was afraid of the thunder because he’s just a little boy. Jongwoon was crying so hard while shouting so loud, calling his mother and father. He stares at the door while hugging his teddy bear. He was hoping that his parents will go inside his room and rescue him from the thunder

 

“UMMA!!! APPA!!! HELP ME!!! I’M SCARED!!!”

 

Jongwoon shouts, but his parents are not coming to get him

 

“Where are Umma and Appa?”

 

Jongwoon asks his self while crying so hard, feeling so scared

 

“Teddy bunny, let’s go out and look for Umma and Appa. But promise not to hold my hand tight, arasso? I’m really scared, so please don’t leave me. Just hold my hand tightly”

 

Jongwoon told his teddy bear while holding the stuff toy’s hand tightly. He wipes his tears away and immediately jumps off of his bed. Jongwoon gulps nervously as he heard the loud sound of the thunder.

 

“1…2…run…”

 

Jongwoon told his self and starts running as fast as he could towards the door. He tip toed and opens the door and run so fast outside. He runs upstairs as his heart keeps on beating fast because of fear. He stops outside his parents’ room. He takes a deep breath and was about to knock when he notice that the door is slightly open and his eyes widened when he heard a weird sound; a woman is , but to Jongwoon it was a cry because he doesn’t understand what the word moan means and he also don’t know anything about because he’s still a kid

 

“Maybe a monster was eating Umma and Appa that’s why I can weird sound”

 

Jongwoon told his self while tears start forming in his eyes while thinking about the monster that is eating his parents

 

“I need to save Umma and Appa. Kim Jongwoon, you need to save your Umma or Appa or else the monster will eat them and you’ll be left alone. You need to kill the monster or else he will eat you alive as well”

 

Jongwoon told his self nervously. His knees are already shaking and he just wants to pee at that moment because of fear. He stares at his teddy bear

 

“Teddy bunny, we can do it. Let’s save Umma and Appa. We need to be brave. Fighting”

 

Jongwoon told his teddy bear. He gulps nervously and walks slowly towards the door. Jongwoon pushes the door slowly, avoiding making noise so the monster won’t notice him. He takes a peek and to his surprise he saw a woman whom he doesn’t even know, laying on the bed while his father was on top of her and he was also . Jongwoon’s eyes widened and his heart starts beating super fast. He also starts to get confused and he can’t understand what’s going on. Jongwoon turns his back and starts walking slowly. His knees are trembling, but he still manages to walk. He drops his head as he feels so confused. He doesn’t understand why his father doesn’t have any clothes and why he’s with other woman who also doesn’t have clothes. He can’t understand what they are doing and he is confused because he’s mother is not inside the room with his father. Jongwoon was thinking so deeply when he suddenly bumps to someone

 

“Sweetheart, why are you still awake?”

 

Jongwoon raise his head as he heard his mother’s sweet voice. Teukie stares at him worriedly

 

“Is there something wrong?”

 

Jongwoon starts crying and hugs her mother

 

“Umma, where have you been? It was already so late at night”

 

“I just arrive from work sweetheart”

 

Teukie answers his son. She carries Jongwoon on her arms and kissed his cheek

 

“Stop crying now. I’m already here”

 

Teukie told Jongwoon while wiping his tears

 

“Umma”

 

Jongwoon hugs his mother tightly. Teukie can feel him trembling

 

“Sweetheart, what is wrong with you?”

 

Teukie asks her son nervously

 

“It was raining so hard. I woke up because of the loud sound of the thunder and I’m so scared Umma. I was calling you and Appa, but you’re not going inside my room. I told teddy bunny that we should look for you”

 

Jongwoon sniffs

 

“I run as fast as I can while teddy bunny holds my hand tightly. I went at your room and I was standing outside. I was about to knock to ask permission to enter. But I heard a weird sound. It’s a woman’s voice and she’s crying. I thought a monster was already eating you and Appa. I slowly take a peek so the monster won’t notice me, but I was shock because I saw Appa and he was on top of a woman who is also on bed”

 

Jongwoon told Teukie while crying. Teukie’s heart starts beating fast

 

“What are you talking about Jongwoon?”

 

Jongwoon looks at his mother while tears fall from his eyes

 

“Do you know who the woman with Appa inside your room is? I don’t know her. Why is Appa not wearing his clothes and why is other woman inside your room and why are you not there?”

 

“Are you telling me the truth or you’re just dreaming because you’re afraid of the thunder?”

 

Jongwoon shook his head

 

“I’m telling you the truth Umma. I saw it. Do you know the woman? Why don’t you answer me?”

 

Teukie’s tears start forming in her eyes

 

“Jongwoon sweetheart, I want you to go back to your room now”

 

“But I’m scared Umma”

 

“Just go back to your room and don’t come out no matter what happen. I’ll be there later. Do you understand me?”

 

Jongwoon nods. Teukie carefully put down her son. Jongwoon stares at his mother with a mixture of sadness, worry and fear

 

“Just do what I tell you to do”

 

Jongwoon nods and start running downstairs. He goes back inside his room with his teddy bear and sits at the corner. He covers his ears with his hands and closed his eyes. Jongwoon can still hear the rain pouring so hard and the loud sounds of thunder. Jongwoon starts counting to calm his self. Tears start falling from his eyes because he feels so scared. Jongwoon suddenly stops counting when he heard something. It was his parents’ voice and he is very sure that they are fighting because he can hear loud voices, shouting at each other. Jongwoon starts feeling so scared because he can hear his mother and father’s angry voice, shouting at each other

 

“Why are they fighting? Was it because of the other woman inside the room?”

 

Jongwoon asks his self while crying so hard. He starts counting again, but this time he makes it so loud to avoid hearing his parents’ loud angry voice. But no matter how loud he counts, he can still hear them shouting at each other. Jongwoon was breathing so hard because of fear and nervousness. He was sobbing so hard and he is shaking. He doesn’t understand what is happening on that night and he feels so confused. The next thing he knows is his mother went inside his room and locked it. Teukie walks towards him and hugs him tightly while crying

 

“Umma, why are you crying? Why are you and Appa fighting? Is it because of the other woman inside the room?”

 

That was the last words that came from Jongwoon’s mouth as he loses his consciousness

Jongwoon’s tears slowly fall down from his eyes as he remembers that painful night. It was the first time that he saw his mother crying because of his father. It was also the first night wherein he heard them shouting angrily at each other. Seeing his mother hugging him tightly while crying at that night makes him hate his father. Jongwoon felt so angry at his father and he promised to his self that he will never forgive him because of hurting his mother and because of making her cry. On that painful and scary night, Jongwoon starts hating his father that much. Jongwoon returns the picture inside the blue notebook. He immediately wipes his tears when he heard the telephone ringing. Jongwoon answers the call

 

“Yeobose”

 

“Mr. Kim…”

 

Jongwoon heard Stephanie’s voice

 

“Yes?”

 

“Your mother is here. She was looking for you. She told us that she wants to talk to you even just for a minute. Should I allow her to go inside your office?”

 

“Arasso”

 

Jongwoon hangs up and stares at the door. There was a soft knock and Stephanie went inside with Teukie

 

“You can leave us now Ms. Hwang”

 

Jongwoon told Stephanie while staring at his mother. Stephanie bows at Jongwoon and quietly leaves his office

 

“What are you doing here? I didn’t remember inviting you here. I also didn’t remember having an appointment with you”

 

Jongwoon told Teukie. He slowly stands up and walks towards the glass window. He stares on it while watching the street from up high

 

“Why are you here? I already told you awhile ago that I don’t want to see your face anymore, right?”

 

“Sweetheart…”

 

Teukie stares at her son sadly

 

“I just want to see you before I fly back in New York”

 

“You already saw me. You can leave now”

 

Teukie slowly walks towards her son. She holds Jongwoon’s hand, but he pushes her away

 

“I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE!”

 

Jongwoon raised his voice without looking at his mother. Teukie can see sadness in his face

 

“I’m sorry Jongwoon. Was it really hard for you to forgive me?”

 

“How do you want me to answer that Park Jungsoo?”

 

Jongwoon looks at his mother. Teukie can see the tears that are forming in Jongwoon’s eyes

 

“You want me to forgive you? How can I do that? Was it easy to say, Umma, I already forgive you. Please be my mother again. Is that what you want to hear from me?”

 

Teukie didn’t answer

 

“I can’t understand why you need to cheat and take revenge to Appa. Do you really need to return the favor? Are you a ?”

 

Teukie slaps Jongwoon

 

“You don’t have the right to talk to me like that. I’m still your mother Kim Jongwoon!”

 

Jongwoon smirks

Teukie wipes the tears that fall from her eyes

Ryeowook immediately wipes her tears when someone enters the kitchen. Donghae and Eunhyuk smile upon seeing Ryeowook. They immediately run towards her and grab their own chairs to join Ryeowook. He told me that they just don’t want to ruin their reputation. I can stay in Seoul University if I can pay my tuition fee. But how am I going to do that? I don’t even have a family and I’m the only one supporting myself. I can’t understand why they suddenly terminate my scholarship. I didn’t do anything and all my grades are good. I didn’t fail any subject, but why? Because I’m just a poor girl that’s why they can do it to me easily because I don’t have any power and wealth like what they have?”

 

Zhoumi slams his hands on the table

Zhoumi told Ryeowook while biting his lips because of anger. Mrs. Lau wipes Ryeowook’s tears and looks at her son

Henry immediately stands and went out of the kitchen. He gets his mother’s bag under the counter and immediately returns at the kitchen. He places the bag on the table before returning to his seat. Mrs. Lay gets her bag and opens it. She gets her passbook and gives it to Ryeowook

He notices his puffy eyes and sad face. He also looks so tired and problematic. Eunhyuk hangs up after talking to someone over the phone

Jongwoon drops his head and leaves Mouse Rabbit sadly. Zhoumi run outside to chase him

Jongwoon smirks

 

“But if you want to see me get mad and you really want to test my patience then it’s ok. I’m going to show you who Kim Jongwoon is. If you don’t want to sleep at the street then you should follow me, but if you really want that to happen then disobey me. I’m not a very rude person, but if you’re treating other people like this then I’m going to be rude because you’re already being so unfair”

 

Jongwoon takes a deep breath

 

“I’m going to give you time to choose. Lee Sungmin or Kim Jongwoon, if you choose my fiancée’s command then I think you should be packing all your things right now. I want to see Ms. Kim back here tomorrow and let her finish her studies and don’t ever touch her or give her a hard time or you will really get it”

 

Jongwoon told them before going out of the room

 

 

 

Sungmin welcomes Jongwoon with a bright smile on her face. She was about to kiss Jongwoon, but he pushes her away. Sulli and Siwon’s eyes widened when Jongwoon holds Sungmin’s cheek tightly

 

“Honey, what’s wrong with you. Let go of me. You’re hurting me”

 

“I don’t care”

 

Jongwoon stares at Sungmin with teary eyes because of anger

 

“Oppa, don’t hurt Unnie”

 

Sulli told Jongwoon while trying to pull him away from Sungmin. Jongwoon looks at Sulli

 

“If you don’t want me to hurt you then don’t meddle here”

 

Sulli was scared when she notice Jongwoon’s serious face. Siwon try to stop Jongwoon, but Jongwoon just ignores him. He focused his eyes upon Sungmin as his anger keeps on flowing

 

“I told you not to hurt Wookie, right?”

 

Sungmin didn’t answer

 

“Are you really testing my temper Lee Sungmin?”

 

“Why do you always defend that girl? I am your fiancée”

 

Jongwoon pushes Sungmin so hard causing her to fall on the floor

 

“I’M NOT GOING TO MARRY YOU!!! TRY TO HURT WOOKIE AGAIN THEN YOU WILL GET MORE THAN THAT!!!”

 

Jongwoon raised his voice releasing his anger. He stares at Sungmin seriously before leaving the mansion

 

“YAH! JONGWOON!!! COME BACK HERE!!!”

 

Sungmin shouts, but Jongwoon just ignores her. Sulli walks towards Sungmin and helps her stand. Sungmin’s tears start forming in her eyes because of anger. She walks towards the center table at the living room and grabs her mobile phone

 

“I’m going to call Youngwoon Appa and let’s see who will win between us Jongwoon. I will never let that girl steal you away from me”

 

Sungmin was about to call Youngwoon, but Siwon holds her wrist tightly, stopping her

 

“Let go of me Oppa!”

 

Siwon shook his head

 

“Listen to me Minnie. If you really love Jongwoon then you’re not going to call Uncle Youngwoon. You know what will happen to him if Uncle Youngwoon find out about it. If you really love Jongwoon then you should protect him and not like this”

 

Siwon told Sungmin. Sungmin bites her lips and throws her mobile phone on the floor, breaking it. Sungmin run upstairs and locked herself inside her room. Sulli was about to follow her, but Siwon holds her arm

 

“Oppa”

 

Sulli stares at her brother nervously. Siwon was staring at her seriously

 

“We need to talk”

 

Siwon told Sulli and drags her upstairs

 

 

 

 

Jongwoon was drinking alone in a small restaurant. He feels so tipsy because his alcohol level is not that high. He just wants to forget all the bad things that happen to him on that day; his parents, Ryeowook and Sungmin

 

“I just want to die now. I’ll just cross the street and let a car hit me”

 

Jongwoon told his self while tears start falling from his eyes

 

“Why did I become like this? I’m such a great CEO. I’m famous. I have wealth and power. But I’m not happy. I hate myself and my life every minute and every day that I’m living”

 

Jongwoon buries his face on the table

 

“I don’t want to go home. I want to go far away. I just hope someone will kill me now”

 

Jongwoon wipes his tears away and slowly closed his eyes. It was already twelve midnight and the restaurant was about to close. The owner notice Jongwoon sleeping. He walks towards him and starts shaking him, waking him up

 

“Young man, we’re already going to close the restaurant. Please go home now”

 

Jongwoon shook his head

 

“Wookie…I need her Ahjusshi”

 

The old man looks at Jongwoon and recognizes him

 

“Mr. Kim, what are you doing here? I mean, you’re not supposed to be going in a place like this because you’re rich. You supposed to party at an expensive bar and not here at my very small restaurant”

 

Jongwoon slowly raised his head

 

“Why? Am I not allowed to—“

 

Jongwoon stops talking as he starts throwing up

 

“Aigoo! Mr. Kim”

 

The old man rubs Jongwoon’s back

 

“I’m going to call a cab to drop you home”

 

Jongwoon shook his head while holding the old man’s hand tightly

 

“Wookie…you know Ahjusshi? I’m a broken hearted man”

 

Jongwoon told the old man while holding his chest. The old man notice Jongwoon’s teary eyes

 

“Here…”

 

Jongwoon pats his chest

 

“It hurts so much…why does everyone leave me? First it was Umma then Appa and now Wookie…all of them”

 

Jongwoon starts sobbing

 

“I don’t know what I did wrong. Maybe they just don’t love me that’s why they need to leave me like a trash”

 

“Of course that’s not true”

 

The old man grabs a chair and sits down. He looks at Jongwoon sadly

 

“Maybe they have their own reason why they did that. But don’t ever think that they don’t love you”

 

“You see…”

 

Jongwoon throws up for the second time

 

“Let’s just go home Mr. Kim”

 

“Wookie…I need her…just tell her to talk to me and not like this…I didn’t mean”

 

Jongwoon’s head falls on table, hitting his head so hard

 

“Aigoo!”

 

The old man immediately stands up and checks if Jongwoon is ok

 

“Mr. Kim?”

 

“Wookie…please listen to me…”

 

Jongwoon talks in a soft voice while his eyes are closed

 

“Wookie?”

 

The old man looks at Jongwoon

 

“Wookie as in Kim Ryeowook?”

 

He asks Jongwoon, but he didn’t respond as he is already sleeping. The old man asks his son to calls Ryeowook, but she’s not answering her mobile phone

 

“Maybe she’s busy Appa”

 

“Just call Hyukkie or Hae. Tell them to go here”

 

“Arasso”

 

The young man calls Eunhyuk and told him to go at the restaurant with Donghae as soon as possible

 

 

 

 

Donghae and Eunhyuk were staring at Jongwoon who is already sleeping

 

“What happen to him?”

 

They ask the old man, but he just shook his head

 

“I just saw him here. We were about to closed the restaurant when I saw him here alone. He drinks too much and I think he’s really tipsy. He can’t go home alone, just drop him home. I told him that I’m calling a cab to drop him home, but he keeps on calling Wookie”

 

“Did you call Wookie?”

 

The old man nods at Donghae

 

“But she’s not answering her mobile phone. Maybe she’s busy or already sleeping”

 

“Arasso. Don’t worry Ahjusshi because we’re the one who will drop Mr. Kim home”

 

“Be careful”

 

Eunhyuk and Donghae smile. They bow at the old man and carefully lift Jongwoon. Eunhyuk was holding him on the right side while Donghae holds him on the left side

 

“We’re going now”

 

“Be careful”

 

“Arasso”

 

Donghae and Eunhyuk leave the restaurant, dragging Jongwoon

 

“Why is he so heavy?”

 

“Because he’s sleeping already”

 

“Wait a second my honey Hyukkie. Let’s take a rest first”

 

Donghae and Eunhyuk accidentally drop Jongwoon on the ground because he’s a bit heavy for them. Jongwoon hits his head on the street lamp

 

“Aw!”

 

Jongwoon rubs his head

 

“Aigoo! What did you do my honey Hyukkie?”

 

“Why me? It’s not my fault. You’re the one who drops Mr. Kim”

 

“It’s your fault”

 

“Aish! Let’s not fight. It’s nobody’s fault”

 

They run towards Jongwoon and check if he’s alright

 

“Are you ok Mr. Kim?”

 

“Wookie…”

 

Jongwoon call out Ryeowook’s name

 

“Are you awake?”

 

Eunhyuk asks Jongwoon who is lying on the ground. He pinches his nose. Jongwoon didn’t react. He pinches his cheek, but Jongwoon didn’t move

 

“Aigoo! my honey Hae, I think we kill Mr. Kim”

 

“WHAT?”

 

Donghae shouts and immediately leans his head on Jongwoon’s chest. He sighs in relief when he heard Jongwoon’s heart beat

 

“He’s still alive”

 

Donghae told Eunhyuk who also sighs in relief

 

“Let’s bring him home”

 

They carry Jongwoon and starts walking slowly. They saw a very beautiful and expensive car that was park at the corner

 

“Do you think its Mr. Kim’s car?”

 

“Maybe, nobody will own a very expensive car like that here”

 

“Look for the car key”

 

Eunhyuk told Donghae who nods at him. They lean Jongwoon on the car. Eunhyuk holds him so he won’t fall while Donghae is busy searching for the car key inside Jongwoon’s pockets

 

“Ha! I found it!”

 

Donghae gives the car key to his boyfriend. Eunhyuk opens Jongwoon’s car. The gently lay him down at the back seat. Donghae closes the door gently and go inside the front seat. Eunhyuk run inside the driver’s seat

 

“Ha! Are you ready my honey Hae? This is the first time that I’m going to drive a car”

 

“Let’s go my honey Hyukkie. I’m so excited now”

 

Donghae told his boyfriend while clapping his hands happily. They wear their seatbelts. Eunhyuk takes a deep breath and starts the engine

 

“Let’s go”

 

Eunhyuk told Donghae happily. He steps on the accelerator and the car starts moving forward

 

“Yah! We’re moving so fast my honey Hyukkie. SLOW DOWN!!!”

 

Donghae shouts

 

“I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO MY HONEY HAE!!!”

 

Eunhyuk shouts as he starts to panic. He doesn’t know what to do. Eunhyuk hits the car on the street lamp. It’s good that the pressure is not that high. He just crashed the bumper on the street lamp and the front light of the car breaks

 

“Aigoo! What did you do my honey Hyukkie?”

 

Donghae asks his boyfriend with wide eyes open

 

“I didn’t do something. I just step on something and the car suddenly moves fast. Seriously, I don’t even know how to drive a car. I only know how to drive our Vespa”

 

“Then let me drive”

 

“YAH!”

 

Eunhyuk shook his head

 

“You don’t even know how to drive our Vespa and now you’re telling me that you’re going to drive? Aish! Do you want us to go in heaven tonight? You’re really crazy honey”

 

“Then what are we going to do?”

 

“Let’s try again”

 

“Arasso”

 

Eunhyuk takes a deep breath and try driving Jongwoon’s car again. But this time the car starts moving backward

 

“WE’RE MOVING BACKWARD MY HONEY HYUKKIE!!! STOP OR ELSE WE WILL—“

 

Donghae didn’t finishes talking as Eunhyuk hits the back of the car at the street lamp. The trash bin that was beside it flies up on air and falls down at the roof of the car

 

“AIGOO!!! WE’RE DEAD MEAT NOW!!!”

 

Eunhyuk and Donghae shout in unison as they hug each other tightly

 

“Mr. Kim will surely kill us when he wakes up in the morning when he saw his beautiful and very expensive car. We break it my honey Hyukkie”

 

Eunhyuk nods nervously

 

“I think we should sell Bada and Choco at the pet shop so we can pay the damage of Mr. Kim’s car. Aigoo! This is really bad. His car is Mercedes-Benz and it’s really expensive. Aigoo!”

 

“I think we should ask Manager Mimi’s help. Let’s just ride a cab and tell Manager Mimi to bring home Mr. Kim’s car at his condo for the meantime or maybe he can call Mr. Choi about that matter”

 

“Good idea. Please call Manager Mimi now”

 

“Arasso”

 

Donghae gets his mobile phone inside his pocket and calls Zhoumi for help

 

 

 

 

Ryeowook was about to go upstairs after scanning all the newspapers to look for a second job when she heard someone knocking at the door

 

“Who the hell will disturb me at this hour? It’s already two in the morning”

 

Ryeowook whispers while staring at her old wall clock. Ryeowook sighs and stands up. She walks towards the door and opens it. She was surprised to see Eunhyuk who is carrying Jongwoon at his back while Donghae holds him tight so he won’t fall on the ground

 

“Hyukkie? Hae? What are you guys doing here with Jongwoon Oppa?”

 

“Can we enter?”

 

Eunhyuk asks while breathing hard. Ryeowook nods. Eunhyuk enters while carrying Jongwoon. Donghae follows him from behind. Ryeowook closed the door and stares at Eunhyuk and Donghae who carefully lay down Jongwoon on the sofa

 

“Aigoo! He’s heavy”

 

“Because he’s tipsy and sleeping peacefully”

 

Eunhyuk and Donghae sit down on the floor

 

“Can we drink water?”

 

Donghae asks Ryeowook while panting hard. Ryeowook immediately went at the kitchen and gets cold water for Eunhyuk and Donghae. She goes back with a big pitcher full of cold water and two glasses. She gives it to her friends. Ryeowook stares at Jongwoon who is sleeping peacefully. She notice his forehead swelling and his right hand bleeding

 

“What happen to him?”

 

Ryeowook asks her friends who are busy drinking cold water. They just shook their head

 

“Ahjusshi told us that Mr. Kim was in his restaurant drinking soju. He was already tipsy and he can’t go home alone. Mr. Kim keeps on calling out your name. Ahjusshi keeps on calling you but you’re not answering your phone”

 

“That’s why he just calls us to drop Mr. Kim at home. We saw his very expensive and beautiful car outside and we try to drive it. But too bad we just crashed it”

 

“WHAT?”

 

Ryeowook shouts with wide eyes open. Jongwoon moves and accidentally falls on the floor

 

“Aigoo!!!”

 

Ryeowook sits on the floor and carefully rest Jongwoon’s head on his lap

 

“Wookie…where are you? Seriously…”

 

Jongwoon slowly opens his eyes and stares at Ryeowook who is staring at him worriedly

 

“Wookie…”

 

Jongwoon gently raised his left arm because his right hand is already aching so badly. Ryeowook, Eunhyuk and Donghae notice the tears that are falling from Jongwoon’s eyes as they stare at him worriedly. Jongwoon slowly brushes his fingers on Ryeowook’s beautiful and very innocent face

 

“Why do you need to leave me and hurt me? I never lie to you when I told you that I love you”

 

Jongwoon told Ryeowook. Eunhyuk and Donghae stare at their friend and notice her controlling her tears from falling as she stares at Jongwoon sadly

 

“Nobody loves me at all. Umma left me because of her other man. Appa left me because he’s too busy working. He doesn’t even care about me and he doesn’t even care about my happiness. And now, you’re the one who left me. You push away from your life. You don’t even want to listen to me”

 

Tears keep on falling from Jongwoon’s eyes as he stares at Ryeowook

 

“Are you listening to me? Why do you keep on appearing in my dreams as well as your friends?”

 

Eunhyuk chuckles

 

“He thought that he’s dreaming”

 

“He’s really tipsy”

 

Eunhyuk nods

 

“I hate myself and I hate my life so much. I don’t need wealth and power. All I want is to live happily with you. Is that a sin? Am I being selfish if I don’t obey Appa? I never love Minnie, but if I told her about that, she will be very sad and I’m going to hurt her. I don’t want to hurt her, but…Wookie…how about…”

 

Jongwoon slowly closed his eyes as he goes back in dreamland again. Eunhyuk and Donghae look at Ryeowook who is sobbing quietly while wiping the tears that fall from Jongwoon’s eyes

 

“I think you guys should talk about it when Mr. Kim is no longer tipsy”

 

Eunhyuk told Ryeowook

 

“We’re going to bring him to your room now, so he can take a rest as well as you”

 

Ryeowook nods while wiping her tears. Donghae and Eunhyuk carefully carry Jongwoon up to Ryeowook’s room. Ryeowook went at the kitchen to get a basin of lukewarm water, an ice bag and her first aid kit. She follows Eunhyuk and Donghae in her room. She places the basin and the first aid kit on the basin and gets a clean towel inside her cabinet

 

“We’re going now Wookie”

 

“See you tomorrow and have a good night rest”

 

“Take care of Mr. Kim”

 

Ryeowook nods at Eunhyuk and Donghae

 

“Be careful guys. See you tomorrow and thank you for taking care of Jongwoon Oppa”

 

The couple salutes at Ryeowook and quietly leaves the room. Ryeowook sits beside Jongwoon. She gets the basin and dumps the clean towel on it and gently squeezes it. She carefully wipes Jongwoon’s face

 

“What did you do to yourself? Who told you to drink and get tipsy? See what happen to you?”

 

Ryeowook cleans Jongwoon carefully. She removes his coat and places it on the chair at the corner. Ryeowook gulps nervously while ing Jongwoon’s shirt

 

“Yah! Kim Ryeowook, do you really need to do it? This is ual abuse. Aigoo!”

 

She stares at Jongwoon who is still sleeping peacefully

 

“Why are you making it hard for me?”

 

Ryeowook pouts and carefully removes Jongwoon’s shirt. Ryeowook starts to blush while her heart starts beating fast while staring at Jongwoon’s bare chest. Ryeowook closed her eyes

 

“What the ing hell am I doing? Oh my goodness”

 

Ryeowook told herself. She takes a deep breath

 

“You’re just going to clean him because he smells awful because of the alcohol and I guess he throws up awhile ago. It’s not that you’re going to him ok”

 

Ryeowook slowly opens her eyes and gulps nervously

 

“Just do it Kim Ryeowook, so you can sleep now. You still need to work tomorrow and then after working at Mouse Rabbit, you need to look for a second job so you can earn extra money for your tuition fee. Though your family in Mouse Rabbit already lends you some money to pay your tuition fee, you should still look for a second job, so you can pay them as soon as possible”

 

Ryeowook told herself and starts wiping the towel on Jongwoon’s bare chest

 

“Be thankful that you’re really handsome and that I love you or else I won’t take care of you. Aish! You’re worrying me that much Oppa”

 

After cleaning Jongwoon’s chest, Ryeowook covers his body with a blanket

 

“I’m not going further. It’s ok if you’re a girl, but you’re a man and I don’t…”

 

Ryeowook blush hard

 

“I won’t remove your pants…just let it stays there or else I’m going to see the thing that is forbidden to see. Aigoo!!!”

 

Ryeowook holds her forehead and sighs. She gets the ice bag and places it on the big bulge on Jongwoon’s forehead

 

“Where did you hit your head?”

 

Ryeowook asks while staring at Jongwoon worriedly. She carefully grabs Jongwoon’s right hand and removes the bandage. She opens the first aid kit and gets some cotton and ointment to clean Jongwoon’s bleeding right hand

 

“What happen to you Oppa? You’re not taking care of yourself”

 

Ryeowook whispers while cleaning Jongwoon’s wound. After cleaning his wound, Ryeowook carefully wraps the bandage around Jongwoon’s right hand

 

“There you go”

 

Ryeowook smiles at Jongwoon and carefully places his right hand on his side. Ryeowook cleans everything before sitting beside Jongwoon again

 

“Wookie…”

 

Ryeowook heard Jongwoon talking

 

“Jongwoon Oppa?”

 

Jongwoon didn’t answer. Ryeowook realizes that he’s still sleeping peacefully. She notices the tears that fall at the corner of Jongwoon’s eyes. Ryeowook wipes it away

 

“You must be in great pain right now. I’m sorry Oppa. I’m sorry for hurting you, but that’s the way it should be. We can’t love each other and that’s the truth. Sleep tight and don’t worry too much”

 

Ryeowook told Jongwoon sadly

 

“I’ll just stay here by your side and watch over you”

 

Ryeowook whispers. She kissed Jongwoon’s forehead and starts his head gently as she watches Jongwoon sleep peacefully
