Chapter 5

 

 

Sungmin was fixing herself for her date with her fiancé, She’s very happy because she will spend the whole day with Jongwoon and she’s really excited knowing that Jongwoon cancels all his schedules just to go out with her

 

“Why is he so sweet?”

 

Sungmin asks herself while smiling brightly at the mirror that she’s holding

 

“I bet Jongwoon is already learning how to love me”

 

Sungmin smirks and starts putting her favorite red lipstick

 

“I’m going to make sure that Jongwoon will love me soon. I’m not going to stop doing my best to seduce him and I won’t let him go no matter what happen because Jongwoon is mine. Only mine”

 

Sungmin puts down the mirror that she’s holding. She starts tying her hair in a bun. Sungmin saw something on top of the table and that caught her attention

 

“It’s Jongwoon’s mobile phone”

 

Sungmin grabs Jongwoon’s mobile phone. Her eyes widened upon seeing Jongwoon’s wallpaper

 

“Who the hell is this girl with my Jongwoon?”

 

Sungmin frowns while staring at Jongwoon’s picture with Ryeowook. She frowns even harder when she notice them holding each other’s hand like a couple

 

“Why are they holding each other’s hand like that? Is she Jongwoon’s girlfriend?”

 

Sungmin’s heart starts beating fast

 

“I have a bad feeling about this”

 

Sungmin notice that Jongwoon has one message received coming from Kim Ryeowook

 

“Kim Ryeowook? Who the hell is this person? Business partner? Friend? Colleague or what?”

 

Sungmin opens the message. Her eyes widened upon reading the text message

 

“Good morning Oppa. Did you have a nice sleep yesterday? Thank you for spending your day with me yesterday. I don’t mind cooking ramen for you next time. Have a nice day and don’t forget to smile. It always brightens one’s day and you really look handsome when you smile. Take care Oppa :)”

 

Sungmin pressed Ryeowook’s number to call her. Her blood suddenly boils upon hearing a sweet voice of a girl

 

“Good morning Oppa. How’s your morning? How’s your sleep yesterday?”

 

Sungmin hangs up and clenches the mobile phone on her hand

 

“Oppa? Who the ing hell is that girl? How can she call Jongwoon as Oppa?”

 

Sungmin throws Jongwoon’s mobile phone on her bed

 

“Just as I thought, Jongwoon is having an affair with other woman behind my back and Siwon Oppa is just covering him up”

 

Sungmin gritted her teeth because of anger

 

“I won’t let this thing happen. I need to stop whatever relationship they have. Jongwoon is not allowed to look on other girl’s because he’s all mine. I’m the only rightful girl for him and I won’t allow anyone to steal him away from me”

 

Sungmin flashes an evil smile

 

“I think I should introduce myself to that woman so that she’ll know who her enemy is. Nobody can ever mess with me because I’m Lee Sungmin. I can even buy her life”

 

Sungmin opens her Lana Marks Cleopatra clutch and gets her mobile phone inside. She calls her personal assistant

 

“Yeoboseo”

 

“Taeyeon”

 

“Yes Ms. Lee?”

 

“I’m going to ask you something and I need you to do it immediately”

 

“What is it Ms. Lee?”

 

Sungmin grabs Jongwoon’s mobile phone on her bed. She stares at the wallpaper while biting her lips because of anger

 

“I want you to find out who Kim Ryeowook is. I need her information. I want you to do it fast, do you understand me? I want a result later”

 

“Arasso Ms. Lee”

 

Sungmin hangs up. She stares at the wallpaper seriously

 

“I’m going to send you in hell ”

 

Sungmin whispers and delete Ryeowook’s text message to Jongwoon. She wears her Christian Loubotin’s platforms and sprays her favorite perfume. Sungmin grabs all her things and went out of her room

 

 

 

 

“Have you seen my mobile phone? I can’t remember where I put it”

 

Siwon shook his head as an answer. He was sitting at the living room while reading playboy magazine happily

 

“You’re just twenty six to be forgetful. Maybe you left it in your office or inside your car”

 

Siwon told Jongwoon without looking at him

 

“Which car?”

 

Siwon shook her head

 

“I’m not the caretaker of your cars ok. If I were you check your cars one by one for you to see. I told you to hire a driver so someone will return all the things that you left inside your cars”

 

Jongwoon frowns. He walks towards his cousin who is busy reading the playboy magazine, drooling over the girls’ y and hot body. Jongwoon stand in front of Siwon and immediately grabs the magazine away from him

 

“YAH! What the hell is that Jongwoonie? I’m still reading ok”

 

Jongwoon stares at Siwon and raises his eyebrow

 

“Why are you still here? Are you not going to work today President Choi?”

 

Siwon shook his head while smiling

 

“I’m going to have a date with Suzy later”

 

“And who is this Suzy? Your new girl?”

 

Siwon answers Jongwoon with a smile. Jongwoon raised his hands and start counting

 

“Sooyoung, Ms. Hwang, Ms. Kwon, Heechul and now Suzy. Tell me, who is really your girlfriend among those five girls?”

 

“All of them”

 

Siwon laughs softly. Jongwoon sighs and frowns at his cousin

 

“Choi Siwon, will you please stop being a playboy before I send you back in New York? How many times do I need to tell you that girls are not toys? Stop collecting them”

 

“Actually…”

 

Siwon holds his chin while thinking

 

“You already told me that for one billion times and I’m still going to give you one answer…I’m not a boring person like you Jongwoon”

 

“Boring person?”

 

Jongwoon smirks

 

“Let’s see who is the boring person that you’re talking about when those girls find out about you being a playboy. You better run run run because they will surely grill you alive and perform some sort of witchcraft to curse you”

 

“That will never happen…”

 

Siwon flashes a proud smile. He stands up and wraps his arm on Jongwoon’s shoulder

 

“Because a playboy like me knows how to take care of my darkest secret”

 

Siwon ruffles Jongwoon’s hair. Jongwoon pushes him away

 

“Get away from me”

 

Jongwoon frowns while fixing his hair. Siwon stares at him while smiling and notice that he’s not wearing corporate attire

 

“I notice something Jongwoonie”

 

Siwon coughs

 

“Why are you not wearing corporate attire today?”

 

Siwon asks curiously

 

“I’m going out today”

 

“Ah…so, you’re going out with your girl? What’s her name again? Wookie?”

 

Siwon teases Jongwoon who shoots him deadly glare

 

“What? I didn’t say something wrong. Wookie is your babe, right?”

 

“Are you going to shut up or I’m going to sew your mouth so you can’t talk anymore? Why are you so talkative? Someone might hear you. You know that nobody know about her except the two of us”

 

Siwon holds his lips

 

“Sorry about that, but don’t worry because my lips are sealed. I’m not going to blab about it. So, how’s the progress? Are you courting her already? Stop having second thoughts Jongwoon. I’m sure that what you’re feeling towards her is what you call…”

 

Jongwoon raised his hand to stop his cousin from talking

 

“I don’t love her ok and there’s no way that I’m going to love her. I just like her as a friend. That’s all”

 

“Don’t lie Jongwoon. It’s obvious that you’re already…”

 

“SHUT UP! YOU DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT TO TELL ME HOW I FEEL!!!”

 

Jongwoon shouts while tears are forming in his eyes. Siwon fell silent. He can feel his cousin’s anger and sadness at the same time. He can see it through Jongwoon’s eyes. It is always the one that speaks the truth for Jongwoon, especially the times wherein he keeps all the burden by his self

 

“Minnie is the right girl for me. She’s the girl that I’m going to marry and no one else”

 

“But you don’t love her”

 

“I’m going to learn to love her. I know that I can learn to love her soon. Minnie’s love for me is the one who will teach me to love her truly”

 

Siwon smirks

 

“You know what’s your problem Jongwoon? You don’t have a life because you always let Uncle Youngwoon decide for you”

 

Jongwoon’s blood suddenly boils upon hearing Siwon. He grabs Siwon’s collar and stares at him seriously

 

“Shut up! You don’t know what you’re talking about. You will never understand anything because you’re not me. You don’t have the right to tell me those things because you don’t know how to be Kim Jongwoon!”

 

Jongwoon told Siwon angrily while staring at him seriously. Sungmin went downstairs and was shock to see the two boys like that. She immediately run towards them and pulls Jongwoon away from Siwon

 

“What’s going on here? Why are you guys fighting?”

 

Sungmin asks Jongwoon nervously. Jongwoon and Siwon keep on staring at each other seriously

 

“Honey, please…just stop it ok. Siwon Oppa is your cousin. Please don’t fight with each other”

 

Sungmin holds Jongwoon’s hand. Siwon takes a deep breath and fixes his clothes. He looks at Sungmin and manages to calm down

 

“See you later”

 

Siwon pats Sungmin’s cheek. He stares at Jongwoon before leaving the mansion. Sungmin holds Jongwoon’s face between her hands

 

“Honey, what happen?”

 

Sungmin asks worriedly. She can see sadness in Jongwoon’s eyes

 

“Honey, I’m talking to you. What happen?”

 

Jongwoon shook his head as an answer

 

“By the way…”

 

Sungmin holds Jongwoon’s hand and hands him his mobile phone

 

“I think you left it inside my room. I saw it on the side table”

 

Sungmin smiles at Jongwoon who just nods his head

 

“Let’s go Minnie”

 

Jongwoon kissed Sungmin’s forehead and walks away, leaving Sungmin at the living room

 

“What’s up with those men? They are really hard to understand sometimes”

 

Sungmin sighs and follow Jongwoon outside

 

 

 

 

Ryeowook was standing at the counter while staring at her mobile phone

 

“I wonder why he hangs up with me awhile ago. He didn’t even reply to my good morning text message to him”

 

Ryeowook pouts

 

“Aish! Kim Ryeowook, what the ing hell are you doing? You don’t have the right to be upset because there’s nothing special going on between you and your Prince Charming. Just take a deep breath”

 

Ryeowook takes a deep breath

 

“Just relax Wookie. You’re not his girlfriend though you always dream to become his girlfriend and of course wifey”

 

Ryeowook suddenly blush

 

“But…yes there’s a but…you need to calm down because you’re not his girlfriend and that thing will only happen in your dream ok. So, just get back to reality and stop acting that you’re very important to him because you’re not. Jongwoon Oppa can live without you and that’s the ing truth…look, I know that you love him. But he doesn’t love you at all and that’s the saddest truth”

 

Ryeowook sighs sadly. She stares at her mobile phone for the last time, still hoping that Jongwoon will call her or text her, but none of those things happen. Ryeowook pouts and just return her mobile phone inside her pocket

 

“Hi Wookie baby”

 

Eunhyuk greets Ryeowook happily and stands on Ryeowook’s right side

 

“My honey Hae and I are watching you over there”

 

Eunhyuk points his finger at the kitchen. Ryeowook found Donghae standing at the doorway, staring at them with a smile on his face while waving his hand happily. He then walks towards Eunhyuk and Ryeowook and stands at the left side of Ryeowook

 

“My honey Hyukkie and I notice you worrying about something”

 

“You know Wookie baby? My honey Hae and I can feel your worries, but before you consult your love problem to us, let me explain something to you first”

 

Ryeowook stares at Eunhyuk with a weird glare

 

“First, I want you to look around and tell me what you can see”

 

Eunhyuk instructed Ryeowook who obeys him

 

“We have a lot of customers. What’s the difference Hyukkie? We always have a lot of customers every day”

 

Ryeowook told Eunhyuk while staring at their customers who are enjoying their food and beverage while chatting happily with each other

 

“I’m going to tell you the difference Wookie, so you better listen to me”

 

Ryeowook just nod at Eunhyuk

 

“Since we all know that the Lovers in Mouse Rabbit II take their off together to go in a date. Manager Mimi and Ahjumma went at Incheon to look for a good place because Ahjumma is planning to open another Mouse Rabbit in Incheon, which only means that…my honey Hae, you and I are the only people left here to serve the customers”

 

“So?”

 

“So…we need to do our best and that calls for a …”

 

“GROUP HUG!!!”

 

Donghae shouts happily. Ryeowook laughs softly when Eunhyuk and Donghae hug her

 

“And now…finally, after a long explanation… your Love Gurus are ready to listen to your love problems”

 

“Don’t be shy to tell us everything because my honey Hyukkie and I will give you the best solution for your aching heart. Your achy breaky heart”

 

Eunhyuk and Donghae flash a bright smile at Ryeowook

 

“But before anything else, we need to do some sort of exercise first”

 

Eunhyuk looks at Donghae and flashes his gummy smile

 

“Honey Hae, please lead us”

 

“No problem my honey Hyukkie”

 

Donghae looks at Ryeowook

 

“We’re going to teach you a very extraordinary dance. Don’t worry because it’s very easy. You just need to follow us. We’re going to take it slow”

 

Ryeowook just stares at Eunhyuk and Donghae

 

“First, place your hands on the sides of your waist”

 

Donghae instructed, Ryeowook and Eunhyuk follow

 

“Then take a deep breath for three times. Inhale…exhale”

 

Eunhyuk and Ryeowook imitate what Donghae is doing. They take a deep breath for three times, just what Donghae told them to do

 

“And then lift your hands up on air and gently bend to your right, left, forward and backward”

 

“You know my honey Hae? I think our very extraordinary dance is really cool and fun. I think we should teach Manager Mimi and Ahjumma too since Lovers in Mouse Rabbit II already know about it”

 

Eunhyuk told his boyfriend happily while following whatever Donghae is doing

 

“What do you think Wookie? Are you having fun?”

 

Donghae asks Ryeowook while repeating the steps. Ryeowook flashes a weak smile while imitating Donghae and Eunhyuk

 

“You know what Hae? I think what we’re doing is really weird”

 

“Of course it’s weird Wookie because it’s an extraordinary. We’re not going to call it extraordinary if it’s not weird”

 

“What the…”

 

“Now, it’s time for the fishy fishy dance”

 

“What fishy fishy dance?”

 

“Just follow us Wookie”

 

Donghae smiles brightly. Ryeowook puts down her hands and stop moving as she stares at the couple with weird glare as they start dancing like a fish

 

“The y fishy fishy dance”

 

Ryeowook’s eyes widened when the couple start swaying their hips ily while wiggling their

 

“What the ing hell are they doing?”

 

Ryeowook whispers as she starts to blush. Some customers start watching Eunhyuk and Donghae happily and Ryeowook feels so embarrassed for them

 

“The shark fishy fishy dance”

 

The couple put their hands on their head and starts dancing the belly dance

 

“Aigoo! Can someone just stab me now?”

 

Ryeowook whispers while holding her forehead

 

“The Salmon Dance”

 

Eunhyuk and Donghae swing their arms in a wiggle side to side while wiggling their body, like a salmon swimming upstream

 

“YAH!”

 

Ryeowook shouts at them. Eunhyuk and Donghae look at her

 

“Yah! What the ing hell are you guys doing? It’s so embarrassing, just stop it now. Arasso?”

 

“But Wookie, it’s actually a ritual”

 

“What ritual?”

 

“IN HEALING AN ACHY BREAKY HEART”

 

The couple shouts in unison. Ryeowook shoots them a weird glare

 

“Whatever ritual it is, just stop it ok. Seriously, you guys are killing me. Just stop it”

 

The couple nods at Ryeowook and go back to their place

 

“So, what is your love dilemma this time?”

 

Ryeowook sighs

 

“It’s about Mr. Kim?”

 

Ryeowook nods at them

 

“What about him?”

 

“Well…”

 

Ryeowook stares at her friends sadly

 

“Oppa calls me awhile ago”

 

“Then why are you sad if he calls you awhile ago? Why are you so choosy Wookie? Mr. Kim is already calling you, but you don’t want? You’re playing hard to get huh?”

 

“Pabo! That’s not what I mean ok. He calls me awhile ago. I greet him happily, but he didn’t even say a word. He just hangs up without talking”

 

“Oh…I know”

 

Donghae snaps his fingers

 

“Mr. Kim is just shy”

 

“Shy? He already called me yesterday just to tell me that he arrive safe at home and to say good night then you’re telling me that he’s shy? What the hell is that?”

 

“Maybe Mr. Kim is lunatic, that’s why he changes his mood easily. One moment he’s not shy and another moment he’s shy again or maybe…”

 

Donghae flashes his so-called fishy smile

 

“He just wants to hear your voice”

 

“You think so?”

 

“Hundred percent sure”

 

“But I send him a good morning text message awhile and he didn’t even reply. It’s already noon, but I haven’t even receive a single text and call coming from him. I’m already tired of checking my phone every minute”

 

“I know why…”

 

Eunhyuk snaps his fingers while flashing his gummy smile

 

“I have five reasons why Mr. Kim is not sending you a single text message or haven’t even give you a call again”

 

“And what are those five reasons Hyukkie?”

 

Ryeowook asks Eunhyuk while giving him a weird glare

 

“First, probably Mr. Kim is busy. We all know that he’s a CEO and he has a lot of work and meetings every day. Maybe he’s still busy and he will just call or text you later when he’s already free”

 

Ryeowook and Donghae nod in agreement        

 

“Second, maybe he didn’t pay his bills that’s why the telecom company disconnect his line”

 

Ryeowook and Donghae shook their head, disagreeing at the second reason

 

“Honey, that’s not even possible because Mr. Kim is damn rich and they have a telecommunication company ok. He can easily fix that problem in just a blink of an eye. Mr. Kim can do everything because he’s Kim Jongwoon. Don’t forget that honey”

 

“I agree with Hae”

 

Eunhyuk raised his hand to explain

 

“Wait a second guys, why are you so excited? I’m not yet done explaining here…Mr. Kim forget to settle his bill because he’s busy. He forgot to pay because he’s a very busy person and not because he doesn’t have money”

 

“You’ve got a point Hyukkie”

 

“Third, Mr. Kim is having with someone. He’s busy ing someone that’s why…”

 

Ryeowook hits Eunhyuk with a wooden spoon that she saw on top of the marble counter

 

“YAH! OF COURSE THAT’S NOT TRUE! AISH! I HATE YOU HYUKKIE!”

 

Ryeowook hits Eunhyuk again

 

“Aw! I’m just stating my opinion here ok”

 

“But that thing is not true! He can never do that to me! He can never impregnate other woman than me!”

 

Eunhyuk and Donghae suddenly laugh

 

“Why are you laughing at me?”

 

“Wookie, why are you so innocent? Mr. Kim can use condoms to avoid pregnancy”

 

Ryeowook hits Donghae

 

“Aw!”

 

“That’s still the same. I’m not going to allow him to have with other woman, Arasso?”

 

“Honestly, why are you telling it to us? You supposed to tell that to Mr. Kim”

 

Ryeowook suddenly blush

 

“But come to think of it…”

 

Eunhyuk suddenly speaks while rubbing his chin

 

“I think Mr. Kim doesn’t even have any experience in having with someone”

 

“HOW DID YOU KNOW?”

 

Ryeowook and Donghae ask in unison

 

“Well…”

 

Eunhyuk looks at them

 

“From a point of view of half man and half woman like me, I think Mr. Kim don’t have any experience when it comes to that. Why did I say that? First, he doesn’t look like as if he already did it and judging by his personality, I think he’s the type of guy who will not a girl unless he wants to marry her. Second, Manager Mimi told us that he’s busy and he doesn’t even have time to look for a girlfriend. Third, he’s not a playboy like Mr. Choi and lastly, remember the day when Wookie gives him a ?”

 

“YAH! It’s not a ok and why do you need to open that case again?”

 

Ryeowook pouts while blushing

 

“That’s still the same Wookie because you touch his…you know”

 

“Hae, it was an accident”

 

“But you still touch his…you know what it is”

 

Donghae laughs softly. Ryeowook frowns like a kid

 

“What’s the connection of that thing on what we’re talking about huh?”

 

Ryeowook asks Eunhyuk

 

“Simple. The way Mr. Kim reacts to the situation is not the way a man with experience should react. A man with experience will smirk, flash a not so obvious smile and will not going to stop the girl who’s doing it because he’s totally enjoying it. But in Mr. Kim’s case… he didn’t even react. He stay grumpy and he grabs Wookie’s hand to stop her from touching his…we know what it is, but it seems that our innocent Wookie was the one who enjoy it that’s why she didn’t stop”

 

Eunhyuk and Donghae laugh. Ryeowook hits them

 

“YAH! Can we just stop talking about it? Aish! Why are you guys so ert? Just skip to reason number four”

 

“Ok Wookie baby”

 

Eunhyuk coughs

 

“The fourth reason is, he’s inside the bathroom”

 

“Until now?”

 

“What if Mr. Kim has LBM? You can never tell. He also has the right to get sick ok”

 

“Whatever…next please”

 

“Fifth, the last reason that I can think is…Mr. Kim is on hiatus mode”

 

“Hiatus mode?”

 

Eunhyuk nods

 

“Meaning, he’s too lazy to text and call you”

 

“Yeah, you’ve got a point Hyukkie. Who am I to him? I’m not even his girlfriend. I don’t have the right to act like this. It’s really hard to be in one-sided love”

 

Eunhyuk and Donghae look at Ryeowook sadly

 

“And that’s the thing that Love Gurus like me and my honey Hyukkie can’t solve, but don’t worry Wookie…”

 

Donghae smiles at Ryeowook and wraps his hands around his friend’s arm while leaning his head on it

 

“Remember what you used to tell us? That love reciprocates on its own. The love that you planted from one’s heart will eventually grow and become fruitful as the days go by. From a small seed to a sprout then a small and tender plant until it grows to a tall and strong tree and bear fruits. That’s what love for you is…just like a plant that grows”

 

“My honey Hae is right Wookie”

 

Eunhyuk wraps his hands on Ryeowook’s other arm and rest his head on it

 

“The most important thing is to have fate and never stop on loving the person until love comes in your way. Don’t think too much and you smile now or else all of us will be sad here. Don’t forget that you’re the one who keep on telling us to always flash a bright smile no matter what is the problem, a simple smile will wash away all the troubles, heart ache, worries and it will make one’s day brighter than the sun”

 

Ryeowook nods at them and flashes her brightest smile

 

“Thanks a lot guys. I’m really lucky that I found a very precious friends like you and I’m happy about it”

 

“GROUP HUG!!!”

 

Eunhyuk and Donghae shout as they hug Ryeowook tight, squeezing her like a teddy bear

 

“Now, let’s go back to work”

 

Ryeowook told them happily

 

“FIGHTING!”

 

Ryeowook, Eunhyuk and Donghae shout happily and start working again with a bright on their lips

 

 

 

 

*GANGNAM, INCHEON*

 

 

After eating their lunch at a very expensive and luxurious restaurant in Seoul, Jongwoon and Sungmin went at Gangnam Incheon to shop. It was Sungmin’s request to Jongwoon since he promise Sungmin that they will go in every place that Sungmin wants. He doesn’t have any choice but to fulfill his fiancee’s request or else Sungmin will feel upset and Jongwoon don’t want that to happen since he cares about Sungmin’s happiness that much

 

“Honey, let’s go at a jewelry shop. I need to buy some necklace and earrings that I’m going to wear for our engagement celebration next week”

 

“I thought you already choose the accessories that you’re going to wear next week? You just told me awhile ago, right?”

 

Sungmin nods

 

“But I suddenly change my mind honey. I don’t like those jewelries anymore. I think I’ll just wear them somewhere else”

 

“I can just ask my personal assistant to bring all the expensive jewelries all over the world and you just choose them at home or maybe we can just ask some designers to design special jewelries for you rather than going at jewelry shop”

 

“But honey, this is what I want. Just go with the flow ok”

 

Sungmin smiles brightly and drags Jongwoon inside the jewelry shop while her bodyguards and nannies follow them from behind, carrying a lot of shopping bags. People stares at Sungmin and Jongwoon. Some even bow to greet them. One of the employees of the jewelry shop run towards Sungmin to ask for her autograph, but Sungmin ignores her

 

“She was asking for your autograph. Why did you ignore her?”

 

“Honey, I’m not talking to ordinary people. I don’t waste my time to them”

 

The manager of the shop bows at Sungmin and Jongwoon

 

“Hi Mr. Kim and Ms. Lee, what can I do for you?”

 

“I need necklace and earrings”

 

Sungmin told the manager of the shop

 

“We have a lot of necklaces and earrings from different countries and jewelry brands. You can choose anything that you want”

 

The manager of the shop shows Sungmin their different collections of very expensive necklaces and earrings. Sungmin was busy choosing when her mobile phone suddenly rings. It was Taeyeon, her personal assistant

 

“Excuse me for awhile. I just need to answer the call”

 

“Sure Ms. Lee”

 

The manger smiles at Sungmin. Sungmin looks at Jongwoon who is sitting on the couch while staring at his mobile phone

 

“Honey…”

 

Jongwoon looks at Sungmin

 

“I’m just going to answer’s Taeyeon’s call. It won’t take long. It’s important”

 

Jongwoon just nods at his fiancée. Sungmin smiles and walks away to answer Taeyeon’s call. Jongwoon focus his attention back to his mobile phone. He’s actually staring at his wallpaper

 

“If you’re my date today, what are the things that you want to do? Do girls only know how to shop and visit luxurious places during their date with their boyfriend, fiancé or husband?”

 

Jongwoon puts his mobile phone in his pocket. He looks at Sungmin’s direction. She’s still talking to Taeyeon over the phone while some of her bodyguards are surrounding her, protecting her like a kid. He stands up to talk to the manager of the store

 

“Excuse me”

 

“Yes Mr. Kim? What can I do for you?”

 

“I’m actually looking for a simple necklace for a girl”

 

Jongwoon gets his mobile phone and shows his wallpaper to the manager of the store

 

“Can you please help me find a simple but very beautiful necklace for her?”

 

“Sure Mr. Kim. I know exactly what necklace suits her”

 

The manager smiles at Jongwoon. She walks towards a glass cabinet and gets a box. She walks towards Jongwoon bringing the small box

 

“He’s the necklace that I’m talking about Mr. Kim”

 

She smiles at Jongwoon and opens the small box that she’s holding to show the necklace to Jongwoon

 

“It’s Tiffany and Co’s enchant butterfly key pendant. It has white diamonds in platinum and pink diamonds and 18 carat pink gold”

 

Jongwoon stares at the necklace while thinking about Ryeowook

 

“I’ll buy it. Please wrap the box first before putting it inside a paper bag”

 

“No problem Mr. Kim”

 

Jongwoon gets his wallet in his pocket. He opens it and gets his credit card inside and gives it to the manager

 

“I’ll be back in a minute Mr. Kim”

 

Jongwoon nods at her and goes back to his seat. Jongwoon stares at his wallpaper and smiles

 

“I hope you’ll like it”

 

Jongwoon whispers. After a few minutes, the manager of the store walks towards Jongwoon and hands him a paper bag and his credit card

 

“Mr. Kim, here’s the necklace that you bought and your credit card. Thank you for shopping and I’m sure that your friend will going to like it”

 

“Thanks”

 

She bows at Jongwoon and immediately walks towards Sungmin who just finished talking to her PA. She assists Sungmin in choosing the best necklace and earrings that she’s going to wear for her engagement celebration next week. Sungmin looks at Jongwoon who is sitting on the couch quietly. She frowns at him

 

“Honey”

 

Jongwoon raised his head and looks at Sungmin

 

“How can you just sit there? Please come here and help me”

 

“But I don’t know much about girl’s stuff ok. You supposed to tell me that you’re planning to go at the jewelry shop today so we can drag Sulli with us. At least she can help you find a good accessories for our engagement next week”

 

Sungmin pouts

 

“Just come here ok. I’m going to show you something. I already found the necklace and earrings that I want”

 

Jongwoon stands up and walks towards his fiancée. The manager of the store helps Sungmin to wear the necklace and earrings that she choose

 

“The earrings are a diamond drop earrings by House of Harry Winston. It has four pear shaped diamonds, weighing 60 carats. Its 8.5 million dollars while the necklace is De Beer’s Marie Antoinette necklace. It gives the impression of ancient necklaces just like what the Royal family wears. It has a leading pink color diamond at the top and two yellow diamonds below it. It’s 181 carat gold and 3.7 million dollars”

 

The manager explains to them. Sungmin was smiling brightly while staring at the mirror

 

“What do you think honey?”

 

Sungmin asks Jongwoon. She faces him with a smile on her lips

 

“Does it look good on me?”

 

Jongwoon stares at Sungmin while smiling at her

 

“You’re beautiful Minnie. No matter what jewelries you wear, it will always look good on you”

 

“Really?”

 

“Do I look like I’m joking?”

 

Sungmin smiles at her fiancé. She wraps her hands around his arm

 

“Jongwoon, let’s buy it ok?”

 

“Are you sure that you want that? No changing of mind?”

 

“Well…”

 

Sungmin gently pinches Jongwoon’s nose

 

“I think I like to buy this whole store. You’re going to buy it for me right?”

 

Sungmin teases Jongwoon

 

“Ok. If that’s what you want”

 

Jongwoon gets his credit card inside his wallet. Sungmin giggles happily. She holds Jongwoon’s face between her hands and kissed his lips

 

“I’m just kidding honey, why are you so serious?”

 

“But if that’s what you want then I’m going to give it to you as long as you’re going to be happy”

 

“I’m happy because you’re with me and I’m going to be your wife soon”

 

Sungmin emphasize the word ‘wife’ while staring at Jongwoon’s expressionless face

 

“Just remove the jewelries so they can wrap it now for you”

 

Jongwoon told Sungmin before giving his credit card to the manager

 

“We’ll take it”

 

The manager nods at Jongwoon. Sungmin removes the jewelries and gives it to the manager

 

“Are you done shopping now? I can’t believe that we just spend this whole day shopping around. I think you need to look for a shopping buddy next time. Look at your bodyguards and nannies, they are holding a lot of shopping bags”

 

“You told me to buy everything that I want and I miss shopping here in Seoul. I always want to shop with you”

 

“But I’m not a girl so I don’t enjoy those kinds of things”

 

Sungmin frowns

 

“Meaning, you don’t enjoy this day with me?”

 

“Minnie”

 

Jongwoon cups Sungmin’s face and smiles at her

 

“Of course I enjoy being with you. I always enjoy my time with you. Don’t think like that. It’s just that my feet are already tired of walking around and this is my first time shopping around with my fiancée. You know that I never go out and shop around like this”

 

Sungmin wraps her arms around Jongwoon’s neck

 

“That’s because you’re always busy that you forget about having a social life like this”

 

Jongwoon removes Sungmin’s ponytail

 

“Why did you do that?”

 

Jongwoon smiles

 

“I hate it when you tie your hair in a bun. Turn around. I’m going to do something in your hair”

 

Sungmin raised her eyebrow

 

“Since when did you become a hairstylist?”

 

Jongwoon holds Sungmin’s lips

 

“Shhh, just follow or I’m going to tickle you?”

 

“Don’t ever think about it”

 

Jongwoon smiles

 

“Ah, Jongwoon…”

 

“If I were you, start running now Minnie”

 

“Yah!”

 

Jongwoon starts tickling Sungmin

 

“Jongwoon…stop”

 

Sungmin starts laughing. She manages to escapes from Jongwoon and starts running around. Jongwoon runs to chase her. People watch them happily as they play around like kid

 

“Jongwoon, stop it!”

 

“I’m coming for you Minnie!”

 

Jongwoon runs fast and catches Sungmin who giggles happily. Jongwoon wraps his arm around her waist while Sungmin leans her back at Jongwoon’s body. Jongwoon hugs her from behind

 

“I catch you”

 

“That was so unfair because I’m wearing heels”

 

“Even if you remove it, I’m still going to catch you”

 

Jongwoon removes his arms on Sungmin’s waist. He combs Sungmin’s hair gently using his fingers and ties her beautiful long hair neatly in a half ponytail

 

“There you go”

 

Sungmin looks at Jongwoon who is smiling at her

 

“I always love it when you tie your hair like that. It suits you well than a high ponytail and a bun or whatever you call it”

 

Jongwoon told Sungmin while brushing her bangs away from her beautiful face

 

“You’re always beautiful Minnie”

 

“Of course, nothing can beat my beauty”

 

Sungmin laughs softly. The manager of the store walks towards them and hands Sungmin the shopping bags and Jongwoon his credit card

 

“Thank you for shopping Ms. Lee and Mr. Kim”

 

She bows at them before walking away. Sungmin looks at Jongwoon

 

“Did I spend all your money?”

 

She teases Jongwoon who nods at her

 

“I have a lot of debts to pay now because of you. I think I’m going to sell all my cars to pay for it”

 

Jongwoon joke around. Sungmin pinches Jongwoon’s nose

 

“Ouch!”

 

“Yeah right as if you can’t pay everything. Don’t act as if you’re a penniless”

 

“I’m just kidding ok”

 

He smiles at his fiancée and holds her hand

 

“It’s ok to spend a lot because it’s for you and you’re happy right?”

 

Sungmin nods happily

 

“Then I’m also happy. Let’s go home now”

 

Sungmin shook her head

 

“Minnie, come on. Are you not yet tired? We’re almost walking and shopping for like four or five hours or more”

 

“But honey, I still need to go somewhere. One last place to visit ok?”

 

“Where?”

 

Sungmin smiles

 

“You’ll know it”

 

Sungmin drags Jongwoon out. They walk towards Jongwoon’s black Audi A8L W12. Jongwoon opens the door for Sungmin and she gets in. He run towards the driver’s seat and went inside his car. He wears his seatbelt

 

“Honey…”

 

Jongwoon looks at Sungmin

 

“I just notice something”

 

Sungmin looks at the small shopping bag that Jongwoon is holding

 

“What is that for?”

 

Sungmin asks Jongwoon while pointing her finger on the shopping bag

 

“Ah, well…”

 

Sungmin cut Jongwoon by grabbing the shopping bag away from him

 

“Oh, it’s from Tiffany and Co. Is this for me?”

 

“Ah…I bought that for…”

 

Sungmin didn’t wait for Jongwoon’s answer. She opens the shopping bag and smiles at the small box. Jongwoon just stares at her as she unwrap it. Sungmin smiles while staring at the cute necklace from Tiffany and Co

 

“Wow, this is so beautiful. Thank you honey”

 

“Like it?”

 

Sungmin nods happily

 

“Well, I just want to surprise you”

 

Jongwoon lied while flashing a weak smile. He can’t just tell Sungmin that the necklace is for Ryeowook and not for her. He can’t do anything since Sungmin expect that it’s really for her and she looks so happy while staring at the necklace

 

“I love it honey though it’s a bit simple. But anyway, I’m just going to wear it every day”

 

Sungmin smiles

 

“I’m going to put it around your neck”

 

Jongwoon gets the necklace on the box. He removes his seat belt as he leans forward to Sungmin and puts the necklace around Sungmin’s neck

 

“This is so beautiful”

 

Sungmin holds Jongwoon’s face between her hands

 

“Thank you so much Jongwoon. I love you”

 

Sungmin kissed Jongwoon’s lips. Jongwoon just smiles at her and sit properly

 

“So, where do you want to go next? The last place that you want to visit”

 

Jongwoon asks Sungmin while wearing his seat belt. Sungmin smiles

 

“Mouse Rabbit”

 

Jongwoon’s eyes widened. He looks at Sungmin nervously

 

“Why do you want to go there?”

 

“I want to visit the very popular Mouse Rabbit. I’ve read a lot of article about that coffee shop and people really love going there that’s why I’m curious. I want to visit the place wherein you love to go and drink some Espresso Roast”

 

Sungmin smiles while staring at Jongwoon’s nervous face

 

“Maybe a cold smoothie will make me feel relax after a long tiring day. What do you think honey?”

 

“Well…are you sure? People might go crazy upon seeing you because you’re a famous model”

 

“That’s why I bring my bodyguards to protect me from those crazy people. Why honey? Are you preventing me from seeing someone in Mouse Rabbit that’s why you don’t want us to go there?”

 

Sungmin asks Jongwoon while flashing an evil smile

 

“Of course…not”

 

“Then let’s go there now”

 

Jongwoon looks at Sungmin who keeps a smile on her lips. He just sighs and starts driving his car

 

 

 

 

*MOUSE RABBIT*

 

 

People that are inside Mouse Rabbit start going crazy upon seeing Sungmin. They want to go near her, take pictures of her, touch her and get her autograph, but her bodyguards secure Sungmin and Jongwoon so nobody can go near them. Eunhyuk and Donghae’s eyes widened while staring at Jongwoon and Sungmin who are walking carefully with the assist of Sungmin’s bodyguards and Mouse Rabbit’s security guards, trying to stop the people to go crazy over Sungmin and Jongwoon. Eunhyuk and Donghae was shock not because it’s the famous model Lee Sungmin, but because Jongwoon was holding her hand tight and they look like a couple

 

“Honey Hae do you see what I see?”

 

Donghae nods his head to answer his boyfriend

 

“Honey Hyukkie, do you think they are a couple?”

 

Donghae and Eunhyuk stare at each other nervously

 

“Where is Wookie?”

 

Donghae asks his boyfriend nervously

 

“She’s upstairs, cleaning some tables. Why?”

 

“She must not see it or else her heart will be broken again. Aigoo! What are we going to do Hyukkie?”

 

“This is a big trouble for our Wookie baby”

 

Eunhyuk told Donghae while gulping nervously. Eunhyuk was about to go upstairs to prevent Ryeowook from going down when Jongwoon and Sungmin stand at the counter, holding each other’s hand. Donghae and Eunhyuk stare at Jongwoon who shook his head carefully, making sure that Sungmin will not notice it

 

“Good afternoon Ms. Lee and Mr. Kim”

 

Eunhyuk and Donghae greet them happily while bowing their head. Sungmin was looking at the menu. Eunhyuk notice Jongwoon looking around, searching for someone. He stares at Eunhyuk who points his finger up, signaling that Ryeowook is upstairs. Jongwoon nods

 

“Minnie, I just need to…”

 

Jongwoon stops talking when he saw Ryeowook going downstairs while holding a tray full of plates, forks, knife, glasses and cups. Jongwoon immediately turns around and look at Eunhyuk and Donghae nervously. The couple just holds their forehead because they don’t know what to do and how to save Jongwoon. Sungmin notice their weird actions. She turns around and saw Ryeowook walking. She flashes a not so obvious smile while staring at Ryeowook. Sungmin purposely waylaid her foot causing Ryeowook to trip on her foot. Ryeowook drops the tray causing the plates to break and some glasses full of ice drops on Sungmin’s beautiful and expensive clothes

 

“YAH!”

 

Sungmin frowns at Ryeowook

 

“Oh my God! I’m so sorry”

 

Ryeowook gets her handkerchief and starts rubbing Sungmin’s clothes

 

“I’m so sorry Ma’am. I didn’t not—“

 

Ryeowook stops talking when she notices Jongwoon standing beside Sungmin. They are holding each other’s hand. Jongwoon looks at her nervously. He wants to explain, but he doesn’t know how. Eunhyuk and Donghae gulp nervously while witnessing the scene between Sungmin and Ryeowook

 

“Honey Hae, it’s like a scene from a drama movie”

 

Donghae just nods at his boyfriend. Jongwoon’s eyes widened when Sungmin slaps Ryeowook’s cheek

 

“STUPID!”

 

Sungmin shout at Ryeowook while frowning at her. Jongwoon pushes Sungmin away from Ryeowook

 

“Minnie, why did you do that?”

 

Jongwoon asks Sungmin angrily

 

“Can’t you see what she did to me? She’s so stupid that she’s not looking at her way. Look what happen to my clothes”

 

“But you don’t need to do that”

 

“What? I’m just teaching her a lesson”

 

“Let’s go now”

 

“Let go of me”

 

Sungmin pulls her hand away from Jongwoon’s grip. She stares at Ryeowook seriously whose eyes are already teary. Ryeowook looks at Sungmin. She recognize her as the girl who was with Jongwoon at the picture that she saw in Jongwoon’s office

 

“Why are you staring at me? You should apologize stupid girl!”

 

Ryeowook remains quiet. She just stares at Sungmin

 

“Do you know who am I?”

 

Ryeowook shook her head. Sungmin raised her eyebrow

 

“Ha! What can I expect from an ordinary people like you? Of course you don’t have any lifestyle that’s why you don’t know what’s happening in the world and who are the famous people”

 

Sungmin holds Ryeowook’s chin tightly

 

“MINNIE!”

 

Jongwoon raised his voice. Sungmin ignores him

 

“Listen to me you stupid girl! I’m Lee Sungmin. Don’t forget that”

 

Sungmin pushes her away causing her to fall on the floor. Jongwoon was about to help her when Sungmin drags him away. The people are all staring at Ryeowook, some of them are whispering at each other; talking about what just happen. Eunhyuk and Donghae immediately run towards Ryeowook

 

“Wookie, are you ok?”

 

Donghae asks Ryeowook worriedly. Eunhyuk and Donghae stare at Ryeowook sadly as tears start falling from her eyes

 

“Wookie”

 

Ryeowook immediately wipes the tears that fall from her eyes and manage to smile

 

“I’m fine. Let’s clean up the mess?”

 

Donghae and Eunhyuk nod sadly and help Ryeowook to clean up everything

 

 

 

 

Sungmin was staring at Jongwoon who is driving his car seriously

 

“Honey…”

 

“Why did you do that?”

 

“What?”

 

Jongwoon bites his lips because of anger

 

“DAMN IT LEE SUNGMIN! I SAW WHAT YOU DID! DON’T ACT LIKE AN INNOCENT GIRL!”

 

Jongwoon shouts making Sungmin jumps. Her heart starts beating fast because she’s afraid. She knows that Jongwoon is really mad at her

 

“YOU WAYLAID YOUR FOOT SO SHE WILL TRIP!”

 

“But it’s not my fault if she’s stupid”

 

“STOP CALLING HER STUPID!!!”

 

Jongwoon clenches his hands on the steering wheel

 

“WHY ARE YOU BEING A ? SHE’S NOT DOING ANYTHING TO YOU! YOU’RE MAKING MY BLOOD BOILS LEE SUNGMIN! I HATE IT WHEN YOU ACT LIKE THAT!”

 

Jongwoon told Sungmin angrily

 

“WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO LOOK DOWN AT THOSE ORDINARY PEOPLE LIKE THAT? SO WHAT IF YOU’RE LEE SUNGMIN? SO WHAT IF YOU’RE RICH AND VERY POWERFUL? DO YOU THINK SOMEONE WILL LOVE A LIKE YOU!!! DAMN IT!”

 

Sungmin drops her head and starts crying

 

“I’m sorry honey. I just…”

 

Sungmin stops talking and starts crying hard

 

“I’m sorry”

 

Sungmin whispers. Jongwoon takes a deep breath to calm his self. He parks his car at the corner and removes his seat belt

 

“Minnie, please look at me”

 

Sungmin looks at Jongwoon, still crying a river. Jongwoon moves closer to her and wipes her tears away. He holds Sungmin’s face between his hands and lean his forehead on hers

 

“I’m sorry Minnie. I’m sorry for getting mad at you and for shouting. I just lose my temper because I don’t want you to act like that. I don’t want you to hurt other people’s emotion”

 

“But she’s stupid”

 

Jongwoon controls his anger

 

“I told you to stop calling her stupid”

 

Sungmin pushes Jongwoon away

 

“Why are you defending that girl more than your own fiancée? You’re favoring her than me?”

 

“Minnie, it’s not what you’re thinking ok”

 

Sungmin stares at Jongwoon with teary eyes

 

“Then what? Jongwoon, I know that you don’t love me but you don’t need to hurt me like this. Didn’t you just saw what she did to me? I lose my temper because of her and people who witness the scene will surely think that I’m a devil. That woman makes me look like a devil in front of those people and in front of you”

 

Sungmin starts crying again

 

“And you still dare to defend her? Why? DO you love her?”

 

Jongwoon was shock at the sudden question of Sungmin. Sungmin stares at Jongwoon and notice his expression

 

“Why can’t you answer me Jongwoon? You love her right? Why do you need to hurt me like this? I love you so much and I keep on loving you, but you don’t even return that favor to me. It hurts me so much, don’t you know that? It also hurts me whenever you’re seeing other woman and defending them against me. Why are you like that? I’m going to be your wife soon, but you’re not treating me like that. I feel like a trash”

 

Jongwoon wipes Sungmin’s tears away and stares at her sadly

 

“Minnie, what do you want me to do?”

 

“Love me the way that I want to be loved. It’s not hard Jongwoon. You just need to open your heart for me…please”

 

Jongwoon hugs Sungmin

 

“Stop thinking so much Minnie. I don’t love that girl. Don’t be jealous of her”

 

Jongwoon told Sungmin sadly. His heart is aching when he told Sungmin that he doesn’t feel anything for Ryeowook

 

“Please stop crying. You’re breaking my heart into pieces”

 

Jongwoon looks at Sungmin

 

“Help me to love you Minnie. I need you to teach me how to do that”

 

Sungmin notice the tears that are forming on Jongwoon’s eyes

 

“You don’t love her right?”

 

Jongwoon looks at Sungmin and nods at her. He loves Ryeowook. He knows that he loves her, but he needs to let it go because he already has Sungmin

 

“Prove it to me”

 

“What do you mean?”

 

“Kiss me”

 

“Minnie…”

 

“Jongwoon, I want you to kiss me. If you really don’t love that girl then you need to prove it to me. I want you to kiss me”

 

Jongwoon looks at Sungmin’s eyes and all he can see is desire and lust

 

“Minnie, I respect you as a woman. I don’t want to take advantage on you. Stop being crazy, I don’t love her. I’m going to marry you, what else do you still want?”

 

Sungmin buries her face on her palms

 

“But you don’t love me. You’re going to marry me because you don’t have any choice. You’re going to marry me because that’s what Youngwoon Appa wants and not because you love me”

 

Jongwoon stares at Sungmin who is sobbing quietly

 

“Minnie”

 

Jongwoon takes Sungmin’s hand away from her face. He wipes her tears away

 

“I told you to teach me how to love you right?”

 

Sungmin nods sadly

 

“See? It only means that there is a chance for me to love you. I didn’t tell you that I don’t love you. I may not feel it right now, but I know someday I’m going to feel it because you’re going to teach me how to love you”

 

Jongwoon caressed Sungmin’s face gently

 

“I’m going to marry you not because it’s what Appa wants. I’m going to marry you because I want to love you just like how you love me”

 

Jongwoon pulls Sungmin and embraces her in his arms

 

“Stop crying now. It hurts me. I don’t want to see you like that. I’m not going to marry you if I love someone else. Stop thinking like that. You’re the only girl for me and the only girl that I’m going to marry. Please don’t be like that Minnie. I always want you to be happy and I’m going to do my best to make you happy”

 

Sungmin looks at Jongwoon

 

“I’m sorry Jongwoon. I won’t be a bad girl again”

 

Jongwoon stares at Sungmin with puppy eyes

 

“Please smile for me now…please”

 

Sungmin laughs softly while staring at Jongwoon’s cute face. She gently pinches his nose and flashes a bright smile. Jongwoon leans forward and brushes his nose from hers

 

“You’re making me happy whenever you’re happy”

 

He told Sungmin and kissed her forehead

 

“Let’s go home now ok?”

 

Sungmin nods

 

“No more crying?”

 

Sungmin nods again while flashing a bright smile. Jongwoon looks at her and all he can think is Ryeowook smiling at him. Jongwoon manage to smile. He wears his seatbelt and starts driving his car again

 

 

 

 

Sungmin and Jongwoon arrives at the Kim’s mansion at exactly 7PM. Jongwoon was shock to see his father at the living room with Sungmin’s father. But what caught his attention is the woman sitting at the living room while smiling at him and Sungmin

 

“TEUKIE UMMA”

 

Sungmin shouts. She drags Jongwoon towards Teukie. Teukie hugs her daughter in law

 

“It’s good to see you again sweetheart”

 

Teukie cups Sungmin’s beautiful face while smiling at her

 

“You’re still beautiful”

 

“Thanks Umma. You’re also beautiful. Nothing changes at all even though we don’t see each other for a long time”

 

Teukie nods

 

“I last saw you during your 18^th birthday. It’s been years. Look at you now. You’re so beautiful and a very elegant woman”

 

Teukie hugs Sungmin and frowns when she notice the stain on Sungmin’s clothes

 

“What happen to you sweetheart”

 

“Well, a stupid girl accidentally drops some glasses full of ice on my clothes. But it’s ok Umma. I already take care of it”

 

Sungmin smiles brightly. Teukie notice her son standing behind Sungmin. She stares at Jongwoon and opens her arms widely

 

“How’s my one and only baby?”

 

Teukie asks Jongwoon happily

 

“Why are you here?”

 

Teukie puts down her arms and frowns at her son

 

“Is that the way you greet your mother who long for you?”

 

“I’m you. Why are you here?”

 

“I’m going to attend your engagement with Minnie next week”

 

“I thought you’re going to arrive on Tuesday next week? Why are you early?”

 

Teukie smiles at her son who is staring at her seriously

 

“Jongwoon sweetheart, I just miss Seoul so much that’s why your Uncle Yunho and I decided to go fly here early”

 

Teukie smiles at his son. Jongwoon eye the man who is sitting at the sofa beside Sungmin’s father. Teukie notice it. She walks towards her husband and drags him towards Jongwoon

 

“Well, you already know Yunho right?”

 

Jongwoon nods his head while staring at Yunho. Of course he knows who Yunho is. He’s the new husband of his mother. Jongwoon looks at Youngwoon who is busy talking to Sungmin’s father. He doesn’t care whether Teukie brings her new husband because he already forgets about her and they don’t care with each other’s life anymore. The helpers went helpers call them for dinner. They all went at the dining room to have dinner together. Siwon and Sulli join them too

 

“So, when is the exact wedding? I need to know so I can cancel my work”

 

Teukie asks Sungmin who smiles at her

 

“Next year Umma. January 18 to be exact”

 

Jongwoon looks at Sungmin. He feels so surprise to know the exact date of the wedding because he didn’t even know that they already decide for the date

 

“Do you think it’s a bit fast?”

 

Jongwoon asks Sungmin

 

“I want it on January 18. It’s supposed to be on the 5^th of January, but since I hate my designers to rush my wedding dress, I told Appa and Youngwoon Appa to move the date a bit. We decided to move it on the 18^th instead of 5^th”

 

Jongwoon just nods at her. There’s no use of arguing because his opinion doesn’t matter and nobody will listen to him. Siwon and Jongwoon just stare at each other

 

“Who will design your wedding dress?”

 

Teukie asks Sungmin excitedly

 

“Sulli was the one who designs it for me. It was so beautiful. I’m going to show it to you later. My designers will just choose the right fabric and the things to be needed for my wedding dress”

 

“That was wonderful”

 

Teukie smiles at Sulli

 

“How’s school?”

 

Sulli smiles at Teukie

 

“It’s fine Aunt Teukie. I love fashion designing and I really enjoy it”

 

“I bet you’ll be a great fashion designer in the future”

 

“And I’ll be the one who will design all Unnie’s clothes as she walks on the runaway”

 

Sulli and Sungmin smile at each other. Teukie looks at Jongwoon

 

“How about you sweetheart?”

 

Jongwoon wipes his lips with his table napkin and stands up

 

“Where are you going?”

 

Youngwoon asks Jongwoon

 

“Out; I hate to be here anyway. I don’t want to see you face and that woman’s face”

 

Jongwoon told Youngwoon as he points his finger towards Teukie

 

“Kim Jongwoon…”

 

Jongwoon didn’t let his father finish talking because he immediately went out of the dining room. Youngwoon sighs

 

“That boy is really a head ache. Why is he like that?”

 

Youngwoon shook his head

 

“Let him be Youngwoon”

 

Teukie told her ex-husband

 

“Maybe our son is just surprised to see me and Yunho. He just needs to unwind sometimes”

 

“Yeah right. Just stop defending your hard headed son”

 

Youngwoon looks at Sungmin and her father

 

“I’m sorry about that”

 

“It’s ok Appa. I think Jongwoon is just tired because of our date awhile ago”

 

Sungmin smiles at Youngwoon. Youngwoon manage to flash a smile. He sighs and just continues eating his dinner

 

 

 

 

Ryeowook’s eyes widened upon seeing her visitor

 

“What are you doing here?”

 

Ryeowook asks Jongwoon with teary eyes

 

“Can we talk?”

 

Ryeowook takes a deep breath

 

“If you’re here to talk about what happen awhile ago at Mouse Rabbit, you’re free to go now. I don’t want to talk to you. Just go away”

 

Ryeowook closed the door, but Jongwoon holds the door so Ryeowook can’t close it

 

“Please Wookie. I need someone to talk with. I need you at this moment”

 

Jongwoon told Ryeowook. Ryeowook can feel the sadness on Jongwoon’s voice. She takes a deep breath and opens the door widely

 

“Ok. You can go inside now”

 

Ryeowook looks at Jongwoon as he enters the house sadly

 

“Stay at the living room. I’ll just get something”

 

Ryeowook closed the door and went at the kitchen to get the first aid kit. She then returns at the living room and joins Jongwoon on the sofa. He was sitting quietly while staring on the floor blankly. Ryeowook carefully holds Jongwoon’s injured hand

 

“You shouldn’t do that”

 

Ryeowook told Jongwoon while wiping the blood on his hand

 

“See what you did? You just hurt yourself”

 

Ryeowook puts some ointment on Jongwoon’s wound while blowing it carefully so Jongwoon won’t feel pain. Jongwoon stares at Ryeowook

 

“Why do you need to blow it?”

 

“So you won’t experience pain”

 

“It’s ok. I’m used to it”

 

Ryeowook stares at Jongwoon sadly before putting bandage on his hand. Ryeowook smiles when she’s already done

 

“It’s done”

 

Her smile vanished when Jongwoon didn’t even react or flash a smile

 

“Do you want something? Do you want to eat ramen or what?”

 

Jongwoon shook his head

 

“I’m not hungry”

 

Ryeowook pouts

 

“Then why are you here? It’s already late at night. You supposed to be sleeping right now and take a rest because…”

 

Ryeowook stop talking when Jongwoon hugs her. She was shock about it

 

“I told you that I need you”

 

“Why?”

 

“Because I need you so please don’t send me away”

 

Ryeowook cups Jongwoon’s face

 

“Do you want to go with me?”

 

“Where?”

 

“Up and watch the stars at the sky”

 

Ryeowook smiles taking Jongwoon’s sadness and worries away. She holds Jongwoon’s hand and drags him upstairs. They went in an empty room and climbs the ladder going to the roof

 

“What are we going to do here?”

 

“Just follow ok”

 

Jongwoon suddenly holds Ryeowook’s hand tightly

 

“Aigoo! I suddenly feel scared of heights”

 

Jongwoon told Ryeowook. Ryeowook looks at him and laughs softly while watching Jongwoon looking down, gulping nervously

 

“Am I going to die if I fall down there?”

 

Jongwoon asks Ryeowook while looking down the street

 

“Who told you that I’m going to let you fall?”

 

Ryeowook told Jongwoon who stares at her. Ryeowook smiles and holds Jongwoon’s hand tightly as they walk carefully over the roof. Ryeowook finally finds a good spot and they sit beside each other while looking at the sky, watching the stars

 

“Do you often go here at your house’s roof?”

 

Jongwoon asks Ryeowook curiously

 

“I go here whenever I feel sad. I watch the stars and cry”

 

“Why? You can cry in your room”

 

“Well, I feel happy whenever I look at the stars because I believe that Umma and Appa are one of them, watching over me”

 

Ryeowook smiles while staring at the sky

 

“I live my life alone. Appa died when I was ten years old because of heart attack. We don’t have money to save him. Umma died a year after because of depression. This house is the only treasure that they left for me. My Aunt takes care of me, but she also left me when I was seventeen years old. From then on, I live alone. I work at Mouse Rabbit to support myself and my studies”

 

Jongwoon looks at her

 

“You’re still studying?”

 

Ryeowook nods

 

“I’m a scholar at Seoul University. Manager Mimi was the one who helps me get a scholarship. I take an exam and it’s good that I pass or else I won’t be able to go in college”

 

“You’re studying what?”

 

“Education”

 

Jongwoon laughs softly

 

“What?”

 

“You love kids? They are so naughty you know”

 

“I love kids and it’s in their nature to be naughty and playful. You’re also like them during your childhood years”

 

Ryeowook notice a sudden change on Jongwoon’s expression. His smiles vanished from his lips and his eyes become watery

 

“Did I say something wrong?”

 

Jongwoon shook his head and stares at the sky

 

“It’s ok to cry”

 

“I never cry and I never smile”

 

“But I already saw you smiling and laughing. And real men do cry”

 

“I know”

 

“I can turn around if you don’t want me to see you crying”

 

Ryeowook’s eyes widened when Jongwoon moves closer and holds her hand

 

“Can I just hold your hand so that I know that there is someone beside me who is willing to listen?”

 

Ryeowook nods at him

 

“I’m always here for you”

 

Ryeowook looks at Jongwoon and all she can see is sadness

 

“I never enjoy my childhood years. In fact, I never enjoy my life”

 

“Why? You’re born rich and you’re Kim Jongwoon. Every men will exchange everything just lay down in a bed of roses, if you know what I mean. They will do anything to have a life like yours”

 

Jongwoon shook his head

 

“But if they find out how I’m living my life, I’m sure they will never choose to be like me”

 

“What do you mean?”

 

Ryeowook stares at Jongwoon curiously

 

“I don’t want a life like this. I just want to live my life the way I want it to be”

 

“Then do it”

 

Jongwoon shook his head while controlling his tears from falling

 

“I wish I can, but I just can’t”

 

Jongwoon drops his head as tears start falling from his eyes

 

“I’m already tired of being Kim Jongwoon. I’m tired of my life. All my life, I devout myself in following my father’s will and I’m already tired of it. I’m tired of living for him and following everything that he wants”

 

“You can talk to him”

 

Jongwoon shook his head

 

“He never listens to me. He only listens to his self. I never live my life according to my will. When I try to explain, he shut his ears so he won’t hear what I need to say. When I try to oppose him, he will think that I’m being rebellious. When I don’t speak, he will think that I’m being cold and hard headed. I don’t know where to place myself anymore”

 

Ryeowook’s heart starts breaking in pieces, seeing Jongwoon crying like that. She can feel his sadness too

 

“A usual kid will enjoy being a kid, but for me it’s not like that. Appa is a CEO while Umma is a diplomat. Instead of reading bedtime stories for me, Appa chooses to answer phone calls while Umma chooses to stay in her office and worry about politics and her work. Instead of playing with me, they choose to be very busy with their own world. Instead of watching me grow, Appa chooses to travel around the globe for his companies while Umma choose to live me”

 

Jongwoon starts crying hard

 

“Umma and Appa get divorce when I was seven years old. I cry so hard, but they never listen. I don’t understand why because they never explain it to me. Umma left me even though I beg her not to do that. She chooses her other man than her own son. Appa was the one who takes care of me, but I don’t feel like having a father because I grow up without him. He’s too busy with his companies that he tends to forget that he has a son. I always celebrate special occasions alone with our helpers and my nannies”

 

Jongwoon looks at the stars

 

“I think that my parents don’t love me at all because they just think about their selves and I put in mind that they don’t love me at all because if they did, they will never divorce each other. Yes, they provide me those wealth and power. I can easily get all I want, but I don’t need those things. All I need is their love, time and understanding, but they never give those things to me because they don’t care about me. They are the reason why I stop laughing and smiling because they take away the reason for me to laugh and smile. I’m not a grumpy and snobbish man as what the people are thinking. I’m a very cheerful person, but my parents are the one who made me like this”

 

Ryeowook hugs Jongwoon tight as her tears start falling from her eyes

 

“Oppa, I don’t want you to cry again like that. I’m here. You’re not alone. I promise that you won’t be alone again. I’m going to make you happy. I’ll always stay by your side and I won’t live you like what your mom did”

 

Jongwoon feels safe and happy at Ryeowook’s arms. He suddenly laughs when he realizes that Ryeowook is also crying like him. Ryeowook stares at Jongwoon curiously

 

“Why are you laughing at me?”

 

Ryeowook starts to cry like a kid. Jongwoon wipes his tears away and pulls Ryeowook and embraces her in his arms making her blush

 

“Why are you crying? Stop that or else I’ll be very sad”

 

“I feel your sadness and I just want to cry with you so you won’t carry all the burden. If you cry, I’m going to cry with you so the pain will go away. If you smile, I’m going to smile with you and if you laugh, I’ll laugh with you. I’m going to be with you all the time. Oppa, please don’t cry anymore. I don’t want you to cry and I don’t want you to be sad”

 

Jongwoon cups Ryeowook’s face and wipes her tears away. He smiles at Ryeowook

 

“I won’t cry and be sad anymore, if you promise that you’re going to stay by my side all the time”

 

Ryeowook nods like a kid. Jongwoon stares at her

 

“Wookie, can I ask you something?”

 

Ryeowook nods again. Jongwoon looks at the sky

 

“How do you learn to love someone?”

 

“Well…”

 

Ryeowook sits properly beside Jongwoon. She holds Jongwoon’s hand and puts it to where her heart is. Jongwoon looks at her with wide eyes open

 

“Loving someone is not hard because love reciprocates on its own. It’s like a plant that keeps on growing. The love that you plant from one’s heart will eventually grow and become fruitful as the days go by. It’s like a plant. From a small seed, it will grow into a sprout and from that sprout it will grow from a small and tender plant until it finally becomes a strong and tall tree until it bears fruits. You just need to have fate and don’t ever stop loving the person or believing the person who loves you because someday love will arrive for both of you at the right time. There’s nothing wrong in waiting Oppa because you will always get what is the best when you wait patiently”

 

Ryeowook smiles at Jongwoon

 

“Why? Do you already found the girl that you love?”

 

Ryeowook asks Jongwoon sadly, but she still manages to smile. Jongwoon looks at Ryeowook. She can see sadness in Jongwoon’s eyes. Jongwoon holds Ryeowook’s beautiful face and gently caressed it

 

“I do, but the problem is, I can’t love her because our world is totally different. I love her, that’s what I know, but…I’m not allowed to do that that’s why I need to forget my feelings for her and hurt myself like this because I love her”

 

Jongwoon told Ryeowook sadly while staring at her eyes. Ryeowook somehow feels a little bit pain knowing that Jongwoon already love someone else

 

“Are you talking about the girl that was with you awhile ago?”

 

Jongwoon shook his head

 

“Minnie is my childhood friend, that’s all”

 

“Then who is the lucky girl?”

 

Jongwoon flicks Ryeowook’s forehead

 

“Why do you want to know? Are you jealous?”

 

Jongwoon teases Ryeowook who pouts at him

 

“Of course not…why will I be jealous?”

 

Ryeowook told Jongwoon while staring somewhere, avoiding Jongwoon’s eyes. Jongwoon holds Ryeowook’s face and force her to look at him

 

“Then look into my eyes and tell me that you’re not jealous”

 

“YAH!”

 

Jongwoon smiles when Ryeowook frowns

 

“Wookie, do you love someone else?”

 

Jongwoon asks Ryeowook curiously. Ryeowook nods making Jongwoon jealous

 

“Yah! Who told you to love someone else?”

 

Jongwoon told Ryeowook while frowning at her

 

“Why are you mad? Are you jealous?”

 

Ryeowook returns the question to Jongwoon

 

“Well…”

 

Jongwoon coughs

 

“Of course…”

 

Jongwoon just look away

 

“I don’t need to explain anything to you ok”

 

“Why are you so snobbish?”

 

Ryeowook asks Jongwoon while laughing softly

 

“I love someone, but I think he doesn’t know”

 

“Why don’t you tell him?”

 

“Because he already loves someone and it’s not me”

 

Ryeowook told Jongwoon while staring at him sadly

 

“You know Oppa? I always dream to become his girlfriend and wife, but too bad that thing will never happen anymore. Our world is totally different. He’s a prince and I’m a beggar”

 

Jongwoon looks at Ryeowook

 

“Are you portraying to me?”

 

Jongwoon notice Ryeowook blush like a tomato

 

“YAH! Why are you so confident?”

 

Ryeowook playfully hits Jongwoon’s shoulder

 

“Why are you blushing?”

 

“Nothing”

 

Ryeowook pouts and look away. Jongwoon giggles happily

 

“You know Wookie? If you’re going to act like that then I’m really going to think that it’s me”

 

“So what if you’re that man? You will never notice me, right?”

 

“Wookie…”

 

Ryeowook wipes the tears that fall from her eyes

 

“Never mind, I’m just an ordinary girl and a man like you who is born on top will never love a girl like me”

 

Ryeowook stands up

 

“Let’s go down now. I think you need to go home. You’re already done sharing your problems, right? Then you can go home now because I still need to do something”

 

Jongwoon holds Ryeowook’s hand to stop her from walking away

 

“Wookie…”

 

“Please go now”

 

Ryeowook looks at Jongwoon. Jongwoon notice the tears that are forming in Ryeowook’s eyes

 

“Things will never work for both of us Oppa because you’re a Prince and I’m a beggar. I love you. Yes I do, but that’s not important and that’s the truth because our world is way too far from each other”

 

Ryeowook pulls her hand away from Jongwoon’s grip and goes down of the roof, leaving Jongwoon alone. Jongwoon looks at the sky

 

“Pabo! Didn’t you know that the girl that I was referring to is you? I love you Wookie, but I just can’t. I need to forget my true feelings for you because I don’t want to hurt you and because my life is chaotic. I don’t want you to get involved on it and because…I have Minnie. I need to love her and not you. You’re right. Things will never work for both of us not because I’m rich and you’re not, but because I love you, but I need to let you go not because of Minnie…but because that’s the right thing to do”

 

Jongwoon whispers while watching the stars sadly

 

“If I fight for you, would you accept me or you will choose to go far away from me? If I fight for you, would you stay or I’m just going to lose you? If I fight for you, are you going to be with me or they will take you away from me?”

 

Tears start forming in Jongwoon’s eyes

 

“You see? I want to fight for you and love you, but I’m scared of what are the things that they might do to you. It’s ok if they hurt me, but I know them…they will also hurt you and I don’t want that to happen that’s why I’m hurting myself like this because I love you…I love you, but I need to let you go because I don’t want them to take away your happiness and those smiles away from your lips”

 

Jongwoon watches the starts that keep on blinking like a diamond. He watches the stars while controlling his tears from falling. He watches the stars, hoping that they can wash away the pain that he’s feeling on that moment. He watches the stars, hoping that they can help him forget about Ryeowook; the girl that he loves and the girl who means everything to him
