It hurts to be in love when the one you're in love with won't even notice you beyond being the closest friend.

It hurts whenever you get to hold them when thier hearts get broken by someone else yet you can't mend it for them because you're afraid that if you try, you might end up losing them forever.

Lia promised to stay as Kai's bestfriend because she's afraid that if she confesses her true feelings that Kai might not return her affections and she would lose the relationship they had build up over the years.

She'd rather be just the best friend than be no one to Kai at all. Even if it hurts so damn much.
