Foreword
Three babies and a black journal left on the doorstep of an orphanage on March 13;
A one year old baby boy sleeps with a blanket with the letter ‘K’ sewn on.
A one newborn twin girl sleeps with a blanket with the letter ‘I’ sewn on.
Another newborn twin girl sleeps with a blanket with the letter ‘M’ sewn on.
Each blanket had an imprint on the bottom;
The ‘K’ had a ‘Three Forever’.
The ‘I’ had a ‘Magical However’.
The ‘M’ had a ‘One Together’.
The owner of the orphanage came out to throw away trash and found the three baskets near the doorstep. She looked for any sign of the parents belonging to the three babies sleeping peacefully. She found no one so she took them into the orphanage and watched over them. Thus is the beginning of the lives of these three babies.
In the black journal were written letters;
To whom it may concern:
The boy is named Kim Myungsoo, the girl with the ‘I’ blanket is named Kim Sung Mi, and the other girl is named Kim Young Mi. Whoever is reading this, please, I pray that you take care of these three babies as if they were your own. These blankets are to be given to the child that is swaddled in it and do not get it mixed up. Tell them that these blankets hold a message that they should cherish if the three are ever separated. Thank you for your time and future labor to take care of these three. Thank you –The Kims
To Myungsoo:
Our son, please understand that we love you forever. You were given to us on this day of last year. We weren’t expecting to have twins or any baby at all and we wanted to protect you from the things in this world that you may not know exists. Take care of your younger sisters for us. Be safe. Hugs and kisses on your birthday –Umma and Appa
To Sung Mi:
Our daughter, know that we love you forever. You came into our lives today along with your younger twin sister unexpected. We only did this to protect you and we hope you understand, my love. Care for your brother and your sister, okay? Be safe. Hugs and kisses on your birthday – Umma and Appa
To Young Mi:
Our youngest daughter, we love you forever. You came into our lives today with your older twin sister. In order to protect you, we had to give you up. Your brother and sister are there for you so trust them always, no secrets. Be safe. Hugs and kisses on your birthday – Umma and Appa
To the three of you:
Love each other no matter what. Trust in your heart that we did this for the best. When you experience things, look always to each other and don’t trust other people. No matter who they are and what they do, only trust each other with your secret… nobody else. Keep these blankets as a memory of each other and of us, your parents. The blankets hold a mystery for you to find out by yourselves. If you find a new family, love them as much as you would love us if we were there. Use your 'resources’ wisely and learn to control them, okay? If you encounter danger, try not to use your 'resources’ as much. Live a normal life as much as you can. When the three babies were old enough, the owner of the orphanage read the letters to Myungsoo, Sung Mi, and Young Mi. Somehow, all three of them remembered the messages of their parents. Yet, they did not understand the part about their 'resources' and the 'mystery' of the blanket.
But something happened that changed their lives forever.
