"Yoonji..." 

You heard a soft, warm voice calling out your name. That familiar voice, "Mom..?" You spoke, your vision was pitch black but you could hear voices ringing in your head. "Your time is not yet up. Wake up." 

"Dad..?! Mom..?!" You called out to the darkness, but they only replied those two words. "Wake up." 

"Wake up!" 

Your eyes shot open and you gasped loudly, "Yoonji!" Kai cried and you breathed in, trying to calm yourself down, your eyes scanned the unfamiliar area and you turn your gaze to Kai, who had a worried look on his face and his two hands on your shoulders, you just blinked at him. "Kai?" 

"Oh, thank god!" He sighed in relief, "I thought you were going to die or worse, wake up with some sort of weird sickness." He released his two hands from your shoulders and sat back down on the seat next to the bed, "Where am I?" You asked. 

"That's what all the patients ask after they wake up from a coma, well, why don't you take one look and guess?" He suggested and nodded his head to the whole room, signaling to you do what he says. You silently obeyed and scanned the room, curtains hung up, white ceilings, white walls. That's when it hit you.

Memories of the guy back in the orphanage flashed in your mind and you remember the pain of being tossed out of the window, Kai had saved you as he teleported all the way to the destination where you had landed. If you didn't remember wrong, you remember someone catching you.

And that's when you turn to Kai, you just noticed the white bandage around his left hand and your eyes softened. *He must be the one who caught me.* 

"We're in a hospital." You replied at last. Kai nodded. "Good. At least you have your senses back. Can you get up?" He asked. You just frowned him, "You're seriously asking a person who had just got thrown out of the window with incredible speed and is now hooked with wires in a hospital that question?" You raised a brow at him, hoping he is joking. 

"Yes." Sadly, Kai wasn't joking. All you could do was groaned inwardly and sighed. *What the heck is wrong with his brain..* 

"Well, sorry for you. But I'm not made out of steel, plus, " You tried to get up but the pain in your back just spread throughout your body. "Ow!" You winced at the incredible pain. "Maybe you should just lay back down. I like it better when you're not wincing in pain in every 3 seconds." Kai said sarcastically, his tone sounded uncaring and it made you annoyed.

"Gee, glad you finally understood the situation and your lack of common sense." You retorted and Kai just snapped at you. "Lack of common sense? Excuse me! I save your life!" 

"Well, excuse me! I was just giving the same treatment back to you!" You glared at him and Kai just glared harder at you. The two of you had the glaring contest for what seems like forever. Finally it was the knock on the door that broke the glaring contest, the door slid open and in came the doctor with a nurse next to him.

The old looking doctor came in with the clipboard in his hand and nodded at Kai and you. "Ah, so you're awake. How is your back?" He asked. "Full of pain." You replied. "I should be asking you that question, how is my back?"

The doctor just stare at his clipboard, "Well, I don't know how you got such a strong hit through playing sports, but, the good news is your spine and bones are fine, you just have an injured back for now. And it's going to hurt for about a week. You should be able to leave the hospital after a good rest for these few days." He said and turn to you. 

You just blinked at him with a baffled look, "I'm sorry, you said I got injured through playing sports?" The doctor nodded. "Yes, according to this young fellow's description. He told the nurse you got injured through playing badminton, and clumsily fell down and fainted." 

Your jaw dropped for a two seconds before you replaced it with a serious look, you slowly turn your head to Kai, eyes widening bit by bit. "I... see..." You mumbled each word loud and clear with a menancing tone towards Kai.

Kai just shrugged at you, as if the tone of your voice doesn't scare him one bit. The doctor just nodded. "Well, for now, that's all there is to let you know. Rest well. We'll be taking our leave now." The doctor and the nurse left the room, and as the door closed you just glared at Kai.

"Are you kidding me?!" You yelled. "What?" Kai sat back down on the chair and crossed his two legs, "I needed an excuse." "But, you couldn't come up with a smart one? I fell down while playing badminton and injured my back and fainted? Seriously?" 

"Well, he believe me." Kai smiled at you and you just rolled your eyes. "Right, that doctor is a dummy too. Just like you!" You shot him a look and Kai just ignored it as he got up. "Anyways, where are the folders?" He changed the topic.

You just frowned at him, "Didn't you have them? I was in a coma." You said. "No, you said you were the one who will grab the folders, remember?" Kai said and your frown deepened. *I had them in my arms... But,* The flashback hit you as you remember the monster lifting you up and throwing you out of the window. 

"Oh ..." You mumbled sadly, "What? You lost them?" Kai asked. You just turn to him and sighed. "Maybe..." "What?!" It was Kai's turn to yell, "How did that happen?!" 

"Well, I was being thrown out and the folders slipped out of my grasp. Why didn't you retrieve them when I was being thrown out?" You asked and Kai opened his mouth to reply, but stopped as he had just realize something and his mouth closed up. You watch him looking confused and finally softening up. Kai sighed and just run his hand through his hair in frustration. 

"So, the folders are lost." He said, you nodded. "Yeah... I'm sorry." You apologized even though it wasn't
