Yunho’s POV

“Kamsahamnida…” I watched as Jaejoong turned, bowing his head a bit.

Don’t forget your promise…” he chuckled before nodding.

“I won’t…just tell me when you need a cook” this time I was the one who laughed. I waved at him as he entered the cab.

I smiled was plastered on my face as I watch the cab disappear from my view. Giving a sigh, I walked back to my nice little home. Leaving my little hometown for Seoul isn’t that bad after all. I got a job and was able to get a scholarship at a nice decent school and I met Jaejoong. That’s the best part.

I started outing the dishes on the sink and washed them. You know what’s good about living on your own/ I can keep on smiling without having to worry that someone will walk on me and thinks I’m crazy.

Jaejoong’s POV

“He’s here now…” a voice, which undoubtedly belongs to Yoochun, reached my ear as soon as I opened the door to my pad.

I kicked my shoes off of my feet, hanging my coat on the wall.

Junsu left his spot on the couch and walked up to me the moment I walked into the living room. “Hyung, where have you been? We’ve been dead worried about you!”

I shrugged a shoulder, walking past him and ignoring Yoochun’s questioning looks as well. “Just... felt like spending some time with…some friends.

Yoochun and Junsu exchanged looks. Then, Yoochun spoke… well, he tried to but I stopped him.

“I’m tired… I think I’m gonna take some rest…”

Just when I’m about to enter my room, the door swung open with my brother Changmin coming in. He looked angry. I would be too. After all, I didn’t go home for 2 days after I arrived from a vacation trip with Yoochun and Junsu. Not wanting to have another argument with Changmin, I close the door behind me. I just hope my brother wouldn’t come in to follow me and just leave me alone.

Changmin’s POV

I was angry, very angry! But I’m more worried than angry at Jaejoong-hyung.

“Go talk to him…” Junsu hyung nudged at me. “…but just don’t fight with him…again”

I looked at Yoochun hyung dejectedly before walking towards my hyung’s bedroom. I knocked once… no answer. I turned the door knob and I wasn’t surprise it wasn’t lock.

“Hyung…” I saw him in his bed. As soon as came in, he turned to face the wall to probably hide his face. He’s crying again, I know. And I felt horrible knowing, I’m probably adding to the pain he’s feeling right now.

I took a few steps closer. I didn’t know what to say. We haven’t really been in good terms for the whole of our vacation from school. And that’s two months. I can’t believe I was able to live without really talking to or hanging out with my brother like what we usually do together with Yoochun and Junsu hyung. The four of us have been friends since grade school.

I took in a deep breath.

“I’m sorry…” Jaejoong-hyung turned to face me and we said at almost the same time. A tear rolled down his cheeks.

“I’m sorry, hyung…” I repeated as I sat at the edge of his bed. “I promise you… I’ll be good to Junki hyung from now on. I won’t insist that he’s a cheating bastard…just... let’s stop this fight, huh?”

A sad smile curved on his lips. “I should be the one to apologize…” he started before looking up to me. “Junki and I… we’ve broken up…”

I stared at Jaejoong-hyung. Is this my fault? “wh—what happened?”

“I caught him…with Dong Jin… I confronted him and I just ended things right there and then…” I felt like my heart was breaking seeing my brother like this.

“Hyung, I’m so---“

Jaejoong’s POV

I spoke before Changmin could say “sorry”. I know he probably thinks that it’s his fault. A few months ago, he told me about my ex cheating on me, so did Yoochun and Junsu but I didn’t listen. It was until two months ago that I saw how much of a cheating bastard Junki is. And when I confronted it, he didn’t even try to deny it... I’m not crying because of my failed relationship with Junki but more of how I didn’t believe my brother, for choosing my lover over Changmin and our friends. For all the countless times that my brother and I would end up arguing that I, for the first time, had hit him. After that night, I never went back to the home the four of us are living in. I never answered Changmin’s call.

“I should’ve believed you when you told me the first time, Changmin-ah… I should’ve listened to you guys when you told me the very first time” I sobbed. “..Instead of having all those fights with you… I’m sorry… I’m really, really sorry…”

“I can’t accept your apology, hyung…” my head snapped up to look at him. He had this serious face on. I looked down. I couldn’t blame him.

“…not until you promise to go back home with us, stop crying and drop by at the bar tonight.” I felt relieved looking at that silly grin plastered on Changmin’s face. “I’ll introduce you to my new friend. He’s nice and I’m sure, you will like him… and Junsu hyung and Yoochun hyung, too” he added sheepishly.

I hugged him at the same time nodding my head. “I’ll be there…”

He pulled away from me. “So, you’re okay now...?”

I nodded. “Why?”

He grinned. “I was thinking… if…maybe… You can cook something, you know… you’re brother is kinda hungry from looking all over the place for you”

This time I laughed. Food and my brother, they’re just inseparable.

I got up from my bed and so did Changmin. he placed an arm over my shoulder. “Fine then…” I said, pulling the door open.

Junsu looked our way and smiled. Yoochun exhaled. Looks like he’s been holding his breath.

That night, I cooked food for the four of us, just like before and ate around. We chatted.

It feels great to have my brother and friends again…
