Chapter 26

Mending a Broken Heart(REPOST)

Jaejoong’s POV

The school foundation has arrived. Because of that everyone was just in their casual clothes as they went to school instead of the uniform some of us are required to wear. Booths and stalls are all around campus. We even have our own one. Thanks to my dear brother and Junsu for bothering me non-stop until I agreed to the idea. We already in school since early in the morning and it was only when lunch time came that Yunho showed up.

“Boo.” Yunho spoke from behind me just as I felt his arms slip around my waist. I felt his lips brushed against my black hair as he planted a soft kiss above my head. Thanking Sungmin, one of the freshmen who have become our friend and whom I asked to temporarily watch over our stall, I finally turned to Yunho.

“Mr. Kang allowed me to have lunch with you guys.” He said before I even asked what he’s doing here. He’s supposed to be with the rest of his dance group in a room designated for their group.

“You sure he allowed you? You didn’t force him to?” I grinned, laughing out loud when Yunho made a face at me. I kneeled up and kissed him lightly on the lips before I pulled him with me. “Come on, I’m hungry.”

The others are already in the cafeteria, eating when we came. Well, except for Dongwook who’s been disappearing a lot lately. Siwon came just a few minutes after we did with Seungjin following behind him, looking awkward as he walks towards us.

“What happened to you?” I asked without the intention of embarrassing our friend, which I’d later found out I did. YooSu exchanged a knowing look as the watch the couple took their seats. The moment they were seat, Yoochun began with his teasing.

“Looks like our Siwon did something to Seungjin last night eh?” Yochun turned to his boyfriend with a wicked look. “Don’t you think so, Jun?”

“Definitely!”

Not having an idea what exactly those two are talking about, Yun, Min and I could only watch as the color of red slowly filled the faces of Siwon and Seungjin.

Since he was close, it was easy for Chun to pace his arms over Siwon and patted him. “Siwon ah, how can you be so rough on him, you got him limping.”

“What are you guys talking about?” Changmin opened his mouth but I asked first. I regretted even asking when the attention was suddenly on me and Yunho.

“Hyung, our friends here finally did it.” My brain wasn’t working well so I still had no idea what Yoochun’s talking about, so does Yun and Min who have that confused look on their faces.

“What did they do?” Junsu, together with Yoochun, rolled their eyes. Yoochun stood up and bend down, whispering in my ears and Yunho’s, his voice was loud enough to be heard by Changmin.

“, hyung. They had !” Few heads turned to our table as they heard the last word Yoochun had said, a little too loud. That instant, I gave Seungjin an apologetic look for asking so much.

Grinning, Junsu eyes Yunho this time. “So, Hyung….” Judging from the way his being looked at by our little ball of a sunshine of a friend, Yunho shifted uncomfortably in his seat. “Have you two…”

Changmin suddenly got up, causing the chair to make a screeching sound against the floor. He’d taken his tray of food with him, ready to leave. “I’m sorry, hyung but I don’t want to hear Junsu hyung ask the questions, and definitely, not what you’ll answer be.

Chuckling, Junsu gave his boyfriend a smile that only the two of them understand what it means. “Hmm, by the looks on their faces, I don’t think they’ve done anything past kissing.”

“Mwo?” Yunho finally found his tongue and managed to say that one word. Yunho and I are suddenly in the same situation as Siwon and Seungjin earlier.

“Hyung, Su and I can give you some pointers about it, hyung…”

As an answer, Jaejoong simply shoved a cupcake in Yoochun’s mouth causing the silence of the American raised Korean and loud laughter from the rest of them.

---------------------------------------------
“God, I’m nervous.” Yunho softly whispered as we make our way back to our booth.

“You guys will do great, I’m pretty sure.” I assured him. “You guys prepared for this, I’m pretty sure you’ll walk away being the champions.”

“You think so?”

“I know so. Wanna bet?”

“What’s the price?”

“Well…” I thought for a while, well, pretended to. “If I win, you’ll have to kiss me.”

“O---kay. And if I win?”

“Then, I’d be kissed by you.” I started giggling when his browse met, almost like forming a single lone on his forehead.

“Hey! That’s exactly just the same!”

“Take it or leave?” Before I can get an answer, my phone started to ring and I moved a few steps away from him to answer the call. A call that didn’t lasted long and soon I was flipping my phone and placing it back in my pants back pocket.

“I’ll take it.” He then gave me a suspicious look. “That isn’t Junki ssi, asking to meet up with you, isn’t it? I knew he was teasing so I just rolled my eyes with my bottom lips sticking out to a pout. Yunho knew about Junki and that little talk we had during Jieun’s party. I almost laughed at the relieved expression on his face after I told him what my answer was, sort of. Since then, he’d joke about that little incident every once in a while.

Laughing out loud, Yunho took my hands. We we’re almost back at the booth when two girls appeared from behind us, then a soft clicking sound reach our ears, followed by feeling something cold wrapped around our wrists.

“Wh---“ Junsu waved his hand at us, at the same time calling for the two girls responsible for our now handcuffed hands. The said girls happily ran towards where Junsu was that seemed like a marriage booth. And Junsu is the priest?

“Hyung, just ride on.” He told us with a sly smile on his face. “I promise, your wedding will be over long before the dance competition began.”

Of course, we have no choice. We get married and be freed, or refuse to and we’ll be stuck with each other. Either way, I won’t have any complaints ^_^

Junsu started with the ceremony. I don’t know where he copied the words he said but yeah, it sounded like that kind of things priests would say during a real wedding ceremony.

“Father, you could have made us wore a real ring, you know.” I said rather sarcastically as I slid a ring around Yunho’s finger.

“That’s as real as it can get, hyung so stop interrupting me.” Junsu snapped back at me. I mumbled a few more words, leaning up to kiss Yunho after he said “you many not kiss each other.”

The kiss would have deepened more if I didn’t realized how much people were watching and have witnessed our wedding.

“Hyung, you guys are illegally married now, you can have your honeymoon now, you know.” Junsu snickered.

Oh my God, when are the guys going to let that topic go!

---------------------------------------------

From the backstage, we watched the other group show up their dancing skills. I can see Yunho growing even more nervous as their turn comes nearer. He said it’s a good thing, their instructor allowed me to stay with them in the room designated for their group, saying I’ll serve more of an inspiration rather than a distraction.

I gave Yun a quick kiss just before they go on stage. It took them only a mere 8 minutes to sweep the judges off their feet. As saw their group engaged into a group hugged as soon as they got off stage.

“So, how did we do?”

“You guys did great.” I answered.

“You’re not just saying that because you love me, are you?” he asked with his head slightly angled to the side.

“Why, do you have a problem with that if I did?

Several groups more took the stage and their nervousness didn’t die down even after they we’re done dancing. In fact, it looks like it grew even more until the announcement for the winners’ names

“And the winner is… DongBangShinKi!”

Once again, the group hugged and Yun was suddenly in charge of making the speech…which he did really brief. Amid the cheers, I found my eyes locked with Yun’s as he whispered “I love you”.

---------------------------------------------

“So, can I get my price now?” My arms wrapped around Yunho’s neck the moment I reached him in which he responded with a what should have been a soft kiss. But since I got carried away, it went more beyond that.

“Oops!”Seungjin’s head quickly disappeared from the door once he saw us kissing. Pulling away, I rested my head against Yunho’s forehead, not really happy with the interruption, as well as to hide my flushed face.

Moments later, the others have come and congratulated Yunho and the rest. Everyone was happy and all but sudden silence filled the room when Dongwook entered…

“What is he doing here?” Changmin and Junsu’s voices boomed against the wall at the sight of Lee Junki.

“Changmin/ Junsu.” Yun and Chun said at the same time. Confused, Dongwook look at me and asked.

“You guys know each other?’

“We know him really well.” Junsu answered between greeted teeth. “How’d you know him?”

“Well, his… Junki hyung is my brother.”

“Your what?!”

Yunho’s POV

Since I knew about the little convo Jae had with Junki, I wasn’t surpised when he took the info from Dongwook calmly. Even putting on a smile I knew was genuine when the said man came into view, opposite to Junsu and Changmin. The incredulous look on YooSuMin’s faces would have been nice to be caught on a picture, if only I have one in hand at the moment.

Dongwook, was of course clueless as to why his brother’s getting deadly glares from the other three. He knew bits and pieces of Jae’s past love but not who the man was. We certainly never thought that the said man is his brother. Later on when he found out about what’s with the glare, he kept on apologizing.

“You have nothing to worry about.” Jae said, almost laughing, interrupting Dongwook of his attempt from apologizing. Again. Fortunately, Changmin, who was understandably the most furious at the sight of Junki, acted civil enough that we didn’t have to worry. Only thing is, they couldn’t hide the displeasure on their faces when we agreed to eat with the two brothers. I’m okay with it. As long as Jae’s fine, then I am too.

---------------------------------------------

The unexpected meeting with Junki happened 2 weeks ago. Now, we’re busy with school again and the upcoming on the job training we’ll have to do for about 2 months.

Sprawled on the floor, Jae and I are trying to get some school works done without getting distracted by the other. After a few while, he’d sat of on the sofa bed and starched his ears up.

“Hotel Cinderella.” He muttered.

Looking up, I placed the pen I was holding down. “What’s wrong, Boo?”

“Nothing. Just, the hotel’s name sounds so familiar. I know I’ve been there but it’s not that… I think I’ve heard it somewhere else.”

“Boo, you must have been there more than one, that’s why.”

Jae looked down at me as I rolled over and now I’m on my back on the floor. I watched as his face turned serious once and again, looking like he’s very much in deep thought. Suddenly, he turned to me and I couldn’t help the smile that curved my lips.

“What?” he asked.

“Nothing. You just look funny when you’re thinking.” I answered, my arms stretching up, getting a hold of Jae’s hands and pulled him down causing him to fall on top of me.

Redness quickly filled his face when he realized our position. “How about we get down and get some tea, huh?”

Not after stealing a kiss, I nodded at his suggestion. “Let’s go!”

---------------------------------------------

Jaejoong’s POV

Our on-the-job training has started a week ago. So far so good. If only I knew that everything’s about to change this morning.

Everyone working in Hotel Cinderella was summoned to the lobby of the hotel. I heard from the other employees that the son of the Hotel tycoon who owns the hotel just arrived from a few weeks of vacation abroad. Now, we’re about to meet him.

Now, I’m regretting not trying harder to recall where I’ve heard the name Cinderella before. If I did, I would have been prepared. Standing before us is no other than Kim Heechul, the one and only son of Kim Heesun, owner of the Cinderella Hotel.

“It’s nice to meet you again, Kim Jaejoong.”
